With so little time to spare I decided to go to plan B and turn into the Bread Basket gas station because I remembered seeing good reviews on Taco Clem. I am not usually excited by "gas station food" but listen, that is NOT what this is! These are legit breakfast tacos with a variety of fillings. I tried the Buda Taco and the Clem Taco and they both knocked my socks off. One of them had carne guisada! They were both so delicious! Even the kids all enjoyed the different tacos they got and asked if we could go back a second time the same day! Chris took such good care of us. You can bet we are already looking for a good opportunity to go back. Say yes to the salsa!

My wife's Al pastor tacos were yummy enough that it was her second time eating them. We did order a side of chips and queso and they were good enough but ended up being too much food all together. The menudo had a ton of flavor, good spices, and the stomach pieces were cooked perfectly; super tender and no, sometimes off putting, lingering offal smells. The chilaquiles were also great and the green salsa was mild and refreshing, with excellent side of potatos and beans. I could not finish my food as I thought the small menudo would be like a small cup not a whole bowl. I had also filled up on chips and salsa and our waitress refilled it so I had even more. All in all, this is an excellent little local spot for some bold flavors and fresh food. The menu is quite large and I'm curious to come back and have some other foods (like chicken fried steak).

There seemed to be one or two people doing most everything in the restaurant that day so we had to wait a bit after a few attempts to flag her down to get the check.
