WONDERFUL STAFF!! I can't say enough good things about their genuine kindness towards me. I am a third time customer and I have found their food to be absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend their beef tibs as it is FLAVORFUL! I also have tried their vegetable platter and it is just a delight! The staff always have a wonderful smile when they greet you and they answer your questions with kindness and show care in their business. This is SO IMPORTANT and to contrast their restaurant to the one in the van dorn plaza by Safeway, I really must give my 5 stars to this place and 3 to the other. Try out their food!

Very nice ambiance and definitely great dishes for meat lovers. I bet it would be the place to watch the World Cup or the Super Bowl

My first experience with Ethiopian food and it was awesome! We got a vegetable combination and meat combination for the four of us and it was just the right amount of food. Both tasted wonderful and fresh. Also decided to get a coffee and so glad that I did. Perfect end to the meal. On top of it all the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend this place!

The food is amazing and it never disappoints but the service could be better. They usually have only one server so it could get hectic on weekdays. Don't even try ordering food for a pickup on weekends or expect to wait for a pretty long time for your food. We've expressed our concerns to the owners but they always seem like they are short staffed. The servers are super friendly and fast to their regular customers only.

The prices are genuinely great for the area, especially considering how much food arrives at the table. They offer several preselected boil options with excellent variety, which makes ordering very easy when one would rather focus on the feast than conduct a seafood negotiation. We especially love the mussel boil, which comes with snow crab, shrimp, mussels, sausage, potatoes, and corn for a very fair price. It is honestly enough to split with another person, though whether one wishes to share is a private moral question. The seafood is always well cooked, nicely seasoned, and satisfyingly messy. The garlic cheese curds are also amazing. Pro tip: dip them in ranch and prepare to become briefly unavailable for conversation. They have a full bar with fun cocktails and even buckets, plus plenty of TVs for watching games. The music is always excellent, the staff is consistently nice and chill, and the whole place is always a vibe. Reliable, delicious, and very easy to recommend

Service can be a little hit or miss but we have never had any major issues and most of the time it is attentive. We always get multiple sea boils and an assortment of the fried foods for our family of 6 and the portions are plentiful. For the boils we order the hot special Cajun which really is not spicy at all but the flavor is good. The shrimp are good size and the crab is cooked well. The fried food has always been hot and fresh. Personally, I do not love the cocktails as they are on the sweeter side so I usually have a beer or soda. The prices are great for the amount of food you get, probably the best in the area.

Usually I don't do reviews so late after but I just remembered our horrible experience. The seafood boil sauce was tasteless and oily, everything else extremely greasy or cheesy (I actually did like the fries though). The service was beyond terrible-- and I remember this from the first time we came last year or so too. We tried to flag down our server on multiple occasions for stuff and they were nowhere to be found. After we paid our bill, they gave us 1 container and no bag... We were looking for someone to help us for like 10 minutes and there was no one anywhere to be found we finally were looking around the host stand (no one there either) and there was a couple waiting for the rest of their food. They saw how distraught we were about getting a bag to line the outside of our saucy seafood boil bag and they just gave us theirs, thank their kind souls. Will not come back unless this is the only place open for business for some reason. The food isn't inedible, the service is just horrendous; no one wants to work here.

We ordered the half parrillada: argentina and it was a good amount of food for two people. The steak came out medium rare as we asked but it really didn't taste like it had much seasoning. The chorizo was full of flavor though and the milanesa sandwich was surprisingly very good (wish they added a condiment though haha but we asked for mayo). The way everything came together in that sandwich worked really well. The plantains were just okay but the mashed potatoes were SO good and creamy. Maybe the best thing on the menu Service could have been better. After being greeted it took around ten minutes before anyone came back to take our order and our waitress didn't check on the table much during the meal. The restaurant has a huge patio, and they were even adding extra tables outside the enclosed patio to accommodate the weekend crowd. Inside, there's a bar with a few two-top tables, while the main dining room is a bit smaller and can feel cramped when it's busy. Downstairs you'll find additional seating, the restrooms, and even a few pinball machines. The drink menu is impressive, with a wide selection of cocktails, plenty of draft and bottled beers, plus pitchers and beer buckets if you're with a group. If you're coming for the blue crabs, plan ahead--they take about 45 minutes to cook. We ordered a dozen oysters while we waited for our dozen XL crabs, and it was the perfect appetizer. I loved that you can mix and match oysters by the half dozen to try different varieties with varying sizes and salinity. They were incredibly fresh and flavorful, needing nothing more than a squeeze of lemon or a little cocktail sauce. Between the dozen oysters and the dozen XL crabs, it was more than enough food for two people. Service was fantastic despite how busy they were. Yesica checked on us throughout the meal and even stopped by because she thought our oysters hadn't arrived--we had already devoured them! The rest of the staff was equally impressive, constantly clearing and resetting tables to keep everything moving smoothly. Just be aware that Quarterdeck automatically adds a 20% gratuity to the bill. Overall, this was an outstanding experience. Great seafood, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of the menu--and, of course, order more crabs.

DINNER: WHITING - 20 + two sides: mac & cheese, coleslaw The fried whiting fish was thin, but perfectly crispy (even after a 20 minute car ride) and well-seasoned. Each bite was flavorful. The mac & cheese actually tasted 3D, unlike the bland, powdered cheese that is used at most places. It was on the thicker and chunkier side, the more I ate, the more addictive it got. The coleslaw was very refreshing and not too creamy. The portions were large, and my friend and I were full after sharing the platter. BREAD PUDDING - 4 This was fine, but not out of the ordinary. About three weeks ago, I left a 5-star review for Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar because, until…read morerecently, it had become one of my family's go-to seafood spots due to its convenience and generally good food. Before that, our preferred restaurant had always been Crazy Crab, where we consistently had excellent experiences. Unfortunately, after today, I will not be returning to Hook & Reel. I brought family members who had just driven in from Massachusetts and planned to treat them to dinner. There were four of us dining, and while three planned to order the All-You-Can-Eat option, one person preferred ordering directly from the regular menu. After we had already ordered drinks, we were informed by the manager, Vivian, that either everyone at the table had to order All-You-Can-Eat, or everyone had to order from the regular menu. There was no flexibility, no customer consideration, and no appreciation shown for the fact that we are repeat customers who have spent a significant amount of money there over time. In fact, several friends and members of our church began dining there based on our recommendation. What was most disappointing was not simply the policy itself, but the way the situation was handled. We were made to feel as though the restaurant viewed us as people trying to "game the system" over a few shrimp or crab legs, rather than loyal customers bringing business and referrals into the establishment. To make matters worse, this was communicated only after our drink orders had already been placed. Rather than create a scene, we simply paid for our drinks and left. We immediately went to Crazy Crab, where the experience could not have been more different. Staff members remembered us even though it had been months since our last visit. We were welcomed warmly, treated with dignity and respect, and received exceptional service from beginning to end. We gladly spent over $230 there instead. As a retired Army veteran, retired federal executive, business owner, and someone who frequently hosts family, friends, church members, and professional guests at restaurants, customer experience matters greatly to me. One poor interaction can cost a business far more than a single table. It can impact repeat business, referrals, community reputation, and future opportunities. From a business perspective, this experience should concern ownership. In today's economy, restaurants do not simply compete on food -- they compete on customer experience, relationships, and reputation. One inflexible interaction from management did not just lose a single dinner sale; it likely lost repeat visits, family gatherings, business meals, church referrals, and positive word-of-mouth within the local community. Strong businesses empower managers to protect both policy and customer relationships. Unfortunately, in this situation, customer loyalty and hospitality were sacrificed over what appeared to be concern about one person potentially sharing food. That decision ultimately cost the restaurant far more than it protected. If you want to dine somewhere where hospitality, consistency, and customer appreciation still matter, I would strongly recommend Crazy Crab. I truly hope Hook & Reel reflects on how situations like this are handled in the future, because no loyal customer should leave feeling disrespected after choosing to spend their hard-earned money at your establishment.

I would have loved to be seated next the the staircase because it has some nice sight lines. The restaurant is so clean and nicely decorated as if you stepped into a homey yet lux cabin restaurant. It just feels....comforting. There were a lot of people dining here but the noise level was surprisingly minimal. The service is impeccable. Every waiter was attentive. Someone even asked us if we wanted another drink when our glasses were full. Never in my life has that happen to me. Lol The server was very knowledgeable about everything and left me to decided between all the wonderful options they offer. And they have OPTIONS. I heard the steak is banging. I'll be back... Now let's talk about these Ozzie dinner rolls. Bomb! End of story. And in my Nike voice....Just do it. In other words stuff your face and get some to go. I got blessed with 2 baskests and a bag to go. Won't he do it. My son enjoyed his little Mac aka his burger and fries but was too full to finish the fries because he stuff his face with Ozzie dinner rolls. So be careful yall. You have been warned. Nice thing is they give you to pieces of trout 1 for now and 1 for later because yes I stuffed my face with those darn Ozzie rolls. Smh I had my eyes set on that deep dish apple pie and I shall return to try it and other menu items..like that banging steak. My leftovers hit the spot. I had enough for a whole lunch the next day. Saved me extra resources. Everything tasted even better the next day. Like the seasoning settled in and exploded into deliciousness. Peoples I say this with love...Don't come here because I don't want yall taking up all the free parking spaces available. Lol this is my new go to spot.
