    Ruthie's Big Plate

I finally made it here after trying to visit a few times, and it did not disappoint! I went on a Friday just before 11 a.m. to see if I could walk in, but I also made an 11:00 reservation just in case. I learned that they offer a limited brunch menu before 11, and it was noticeably less busy, which made for a really relaxed experience. The food, service, atmosphere, and value were all outstanding. I absolutely loved the chicken biscuit sandwich. The biscuit was soft, buttery, and delicious, actually softer than the biscuits served with Ruthie's Big Plate. (I'm not sure the difference)Speaking of Ruthie's Big Plate, it's generous enough that two people could easily share it, and every item on the plate was delicious. My kids cleaned their plates, which says a lot! The pancakes were also very good, although the apple sauce topping was a little too sweet for my taste. Next time, I'd ask for it on the side. My husband ordered the pulled pork and grits, and they were incredible. I can't wait to come back and try the full menu, but even if you only have time to visit during the limited-menu hours, do yourself a favor and go. It's absolutely worth it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute place with great service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came here on Father's Day and I expected the wait to be outlandish. To my surprise we were quickly seated. This place is located in a somewhat small lot next to an apartment complex. They have parking directly in front of the location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside as that was the quickest table and the wait was shorter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Ruthie's Big Plate which comes with two hearty biscuits, a good portion of eggs, 2 slices of bacon, one piece of sausage and a hearty amount of seasoned roasted potatoes. Overall this is a very filling platter and gives you some of everything. The potatoes were my favorite. The biscuit was cool with some watery jam. Eggs were fresh and scrambled well. Bacon could have been better but Ill take it. My wife ordered the grits with pork which seemed very unique. She didn't care of them too much. The grits are kinda whipped/creamy. She wasn't a big fan. Similar to the devil eggs. Extremely whipped eggs. If you think these are southern comfort you will be sadly mistaken. The service here is top notch. By far the best part of the experience. Our waiter Jon. Was excellent and attentive. Offered good suggestions on the menu and made sure we had what we needed. There are also plenty of others walking around making sure water is always filled and dirty dishes were removed. I'm curious to see their dinner options. I'll be back to check them out.

I have a strong preference for the weekends for this place, the service and food is great during this time and they don't mess up your order during this time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can be crowded at times but if you go closer to the end of brunch, it empties out slowly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]During the busier times it be harder to hold a conversation, but still clean and also has a nice outdoor eating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] During the week is a completely different experience, it is less personal and hit or miss if the lady at the register puts your order in properly. We have certain dietary restrictions and were unable to drink what we order but everything we ordered was messed up one way or another. The drinks on the weekend are phenomenal and e we have always enjoyed them.

My husband & I met up with friends for brunch while in the area. I made a reservation about two hours before we were going. It was pretty packed, so we had to wait about 10-15min after we got there to get seated. I ordered an iced coffee while we waited. We sat outside and servers immediately brought us some water while we waited for friends. We got the shrimp and jalapeño hush puppies to start. Try came out really fast. They were very tasty, we were pleasantly surprised that there were pieces of shrimp inside. The homemade ranch that came with them was really good too. For entrees I got the special of the day which was a brisket burger wi the egg, bacon and hash brown on it. I got fries on the side and asked for some ranch to go with them. My husband got the brisket Bennie and our friend got the smashburger. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Definitely great spot for brunch

So we brought our service dog in here and immediately the hostess questioned us. Which is against the law. We showed her our service dog credentials. Then we got a table and we were again questioned by the manager who told us that we could not have a dog in a carrier on our lap inside. We had an 8 pound toy poodle. So we asked if we could sit outside with our service dog poodle. They insisted that if he was in the carrier on our lap OUTSIDE, then it would still be a health code violation. So glad we didn't spend any money there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]THERE WERE FLIES IN THE RESTAURANT.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] ‍

Service was nice & was seated right away! I ordered the cornbread, pulled pork sandwich, and brisket with 3 sides. The cornbread was crispy but not super moist. The honey butter is what makes this dish imo, otherwise the cornbread is any other cornbread you can get at the store. The pulled pork sandwich was topped with slaw and pickles. Meat was tender but a little salty, pickles & slaw were a great addition to the sandwich to balance out the meat. Bbq sauce paired was more on the tangy vs Smokey side. The brisket was a mixed of tender & dryness depending on the slice. Not sure if it was smoked or oven baked tbh. For the sides - Brussels sprouts were good!! The Mac was also fantastic & creamy. The charred kimichi rice was my least favorite. This did not taste like kimichi & the rice reminded me of the instant rice packet you can make at home. Overall the meal was good - I would like to come back to try their brunch or breakfast menu vs dinner! Parking behind & infront in addition to the side of the restaurant.

Sweet place, big portions and awesome smoked food. Tried the half rack ribs which fell off the bone, and it has so much meat it could have counted as a full rack. Asked for some Alabama bbq sauce on side, wonderful. Greens were solid, and Cole slaw was decent not too sweet. Grilled salmon was perfection with a lemon pepper sauce. Also potato salad was really good. Oh always get the sweet tea. Place is spacious and service was fast. Will go again

This place was say anything was like two too amazing but like it was standard, and I could go and eat Again the wings were so good. I should've got that as my main entrée instead of an appetizer my aunt liked her salmon salad, but the dressing was all at the bottom so she couldn't find it until she basically finished her salad The cornbread was cool too. The butter was nice. Service was good. He was very attentive and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance was just bright kind of like diner style but no like qualms like nothing like amazing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] the campfire cookies did like hit too though those joints were a fire with that ice cream. I didn't like that.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and finally had the chance to visit yesterday. It turned out to be one of the best brunch spots in the area. We didn't have a reservation, so we ended up waiting about 40 minutes, but it was definitely worth it. The portions were huge, and even the coffee was surprisingly good. My only complaint was that the service was a bit slow, but the food was delicious and made up for it.

Ruthie's is so good I went twice within a weeks time. First I went for brunch and then for dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's very homey feeling inside and with the staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For them to be a very busy restaurant they are efficient and the quality of the food is great.

First timing visiting Ruthie's All Day! We were meeting another couple and planned to dine outside on the patio but the rain had other plans. The Ruthie's team was very accommodating and called us to rebook an inside table for 45 mins after our originally scheduled reservation. However, upon arrival our table wasn't ready. The staff offered us drinks while we waited, which we appreciated in the moment, but we were surprised to see the four coffees we ordered added to our bill. It gave the impression they were being offered as a courtesy, so that was a bit disappointing. We started with the cornbread skillet, which had great reviews online, but unfortunately ours came out dry and didn't quite live up to the hype. The deviled eggs, on the other hand, were really good and a great start to the meal. For entrees, the apple pie pancakes were the clear winner - absolutely delicious and topped with a generous scoop of fresh whipped cream. The fried chicken biscuit was also fantastic and something we'd order again. The brisket hash, which our waiter highly recommended, was good but ended up being our least favorite entree. One thing that really stood out was the ambiance--the fresh florals on the tables, at the hostess stand, and even in the bathroom were such a thoughtful touch and made the space feel elevated and inviting.

Used my trusted Yelp app to find a restaurant in the neighborhood. Entered the bright and light restaurant surrounded by large windows. They also have dining outside on the patio. Seated very quickly with no reservation. Waiter was friendly and helpful since it was our first time dining there. I ordered the half chicken which had an interesting sauce, cooked slaw was very tasty and the Mac n cheese was delicious and bread crumbs on top. My husband had the brisket which was a large portion and very tasty, Mac n cheese and mashed red potatoes. We ended the meal with an apple cobbler with ice cream. Was a little disappointed as the apples were hard soft, but it was flavorful.

Those have included their Charcuterie Board (something that contributed to Dr. Oz not being a senator), crispy Brussels sprouts, their Margarita flatbread, chicken skewers, and truffle fries. Don't hate us; that was spread over two visits. Everything tasted great, though next time I think we'll graduate to the real menu. The wines we've tried so far were either inexpensive or not bad. For inexpensive, I've had glasses of their $3 Tempranillo. While it wasn't great, I've paid a lot re for much worse. For "not bad", my wife had the $10 Buehler Cab. After it opened up for a bit it was quite drinkable.

Could not ask for a better parking situation. Ordering was almost seamless. We got there at 1 o'clock, middle of the day on 4/18, plenty of empty tables. We went up to the bartender to take our order, and then gave them our table number and they delivered it. The QR code on the table only shows you the menu. It is not used for ordering, which was odd these days. Chill and super awesome bartender with the mother of all hickeys. Good pours. No Skrewball :-( I had the special, two hot dogs with tater tots. When it said double, I wasn't sure if that meant double the tater tots, but that meant actually two hot dogs. Really good. I also had the other special, the two pancakes. I meant to get the sausage, but they gave me the bacon instead. It was great. Well worth it. I thought that was the better value of the meals. They got a lot of board and card games. Very laid-back atmosphere, 90s and early 2000s pop on the music, comfortable seating, and good food. The prices were reasonable. This is one area that I think we are just going to have to deal with for quite some time. The give-and-take of prices,. Smothered tater tots, pancakes, two hotdogs with some tater tots, and three drinks came out to ~$55. NOT. BAD. Was it worth it? If this had been just a normal restaurant, I would've said no. It would've been more worth it if it had been about $40. But... nobody made us pay to use the board games, or the card games, and we sat there for three hours and had a really good time. So based on that, the fact they provide a venue for playing these games and hanging out for a few hours makes it all worth it. Really strange thing was that there was this balding guy with a beard that randomly showed up as a waiter. We had been dealing with a bartender, so this guy, kind of rude came on to us and we weren't sure what to do with him. He kind of blocked me from paying the bartender. Rude. Not a hangout spot every day, but certainly once a week, maybe once a month or more, definitely a place to meet up if you got a group. I was really surprised by the diversity of the people that were there. A lot of chess players, a whole table of middle-aged women, lots of different people playing games. I would give them five stars, but not quite perfect. The rude guy at the end was so odd. Otherwise, great location, great parking, the food was good, good value, and fun.
