    Chicken shawarma with fries
    Scott W.

This place is one of the best. It's a small non-descript place to eat but well worth it. The setting is small and casual, with just a few tables. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. And the food is delicious. I go there several times a week. The fries are better than McDonalds. The falafel is the best in the area, always cooked perfectly and with great flavor. The shawarma platter has great vegetables to choose from, with perfectly cooked meat. And a lot of sauces to choose from to top it off. And the smoothies are fresh and flavorful.

My wife and I had the most incredible shawarma sandwiches and fries. The food was delicious and the staff we friendly and hospitable. We will definitely come back.

Listen here....stop reading and GO!!!!!!!!! Omg! This place is 100/10. My coworker told me and I've been for 2 days straight. The chicken and beef shawarma pita is sooooo good. The garlic sauce set it's off. Today I got a chicken and beef salad with everything on it...my Lord!!! Heaven on earth! Best for eating healthy or bad. Their veggie pizza is good too and they have a plethora of smoothies!! I love the fact it's true to its culture!! It's a quaint place to pick up and go or order and sit outside or the small seating inside. The staff is so sweet and helpful! The best part is you can get a bunch of food for cheap...my salad and veggie pizza was $16. I'll be back again tomorrow !

New prices for 2022 -- UPDATE: These are already outdated. They raised prices again.
    Harley S.

Prices went up in 2022 like they have everywhere, but this is still a great value for fresh, homemade Lebanese food. Again, Taza delivers on: - Fresh spit-roasted carved-to-order shawarma - Fresh baked soft pita and breads - Fresh toppings - Low prices - Big portions At these prices, the pies (huge and as priced as low as $1.95) are more bread than filling, and don't expect your pita to be stuffed to overflowing. You also won't find expensive toppings like eggplant and roasted vegetables that some other places offer. So I would not call Taza a destination, but if you're looking for a fresh, satisfying bargain lunch, this place is hard to beat. It's good to support a small family business, but I sure wish they'd wear masks.

The food: Over all Menu Taste is just fine (that is if you tired every single item). However, anyone who visits Syria, Jordan, or Turkey and other countries in the ME and Africa he or she can see the vast difference in taste. Reason: the meat quality "halal of course" tends to be better than meats in the USA. Yes even halal meat in US is not the same. Also, you should know this "fact" about Shawirma "sha wirr mah" This is a meat (lamb.beef.or chicken or even Camel) which will not always taste the same depending on how long it has been hanging next to a grill (being cooked correctly). It can get dry and stale which influence the over all taste, Not to mention bacteria build up. Meat has to be exposed to constant heat at the right tempratures to prevent food bateria. The service: Well understand that most workers there -from what was seen after visiting them a dozen time- are just young kids trying to make it in today's life. it will be a smarter decission by owner to add an older cutomer service experienced person to his staff in order to monitor the youngsters, and to handle all type of custormers especially those who have issues. Ambiance: Average. Not a spacious palce for larger gathering. They do have an outdoor seating area as well. Atmosphere: Not comfortable at times when it gets noisy. You may experience unhealthy smoke in the air from near-by hookah places/ Also from annoying smokers who care less about their life and other creatures lives. Appearance: Average. We have to be fair and wait for improvement in the future. Recently they remodeled the interior which looks descent. Cleanliness: They need to improve that aspect of their business. If there are bugs that cannot happen. Although have not seen any restaurants in 50 years that are bugs free. Roaches and mosquitoes are the worst to be seen by customers. This has to be seriously addressed. Friendliness: Again what do you expect from teenagers. Today's young generation with some exceptions is a very disrespectful generation. No moral values what so ever. Price: Acceptible. They can add smaller portions with lower prices such as kids menu, daily specials...etc. Parking: There are several parking spaces around the restaurant. Just have to look around. it can get difficult at times. Just go early during the week and buy food and keep left overs for later in the firdge to avoid weekend nighmares. Waiting time and delivery: No issues so far. There is always an issue no one is perfect. Keep in mind Grubhub and other delivery companies are humans. Traffic in GWA can get extremely bad. Wait till we witness delivery by robots/IA's. Just imagine those machines going through horrible traffic congestions. Lord help us. Finally: Those commentators who say this place is the best or that place is the spot...etc. is neither true nor accurate. There are similar restaurants world wide that are many times better. If you have lived in the Greater Met. Washington area in the last decade, you probably have visited or seen a restaurant called "shawafil" that was located in H st. corridor NE Washington DC. This was by far one of the best tasting "shawirma" places ever in the area. Unfortunately the closed down. Total score: good but have potential to be great or beyond.

Great hole in the wall, amazing food with tons of flavor. Shawarma was juicy and flavorful, bread was super fresh. Went two days in a row! Highly recommend.

    Best falafel ever.
    Yan W.

Food and service were excellent but cleanliness was a big issue. So I hate to post this but it was my first time here. They literally fried the best falafel that I have ever had in my life hands down. I got the bowl but I could have gotten the sandwhich. It smelled great and the staff were super helpful. The down side was that there was a roach crawling on the displayed food. Not sure if anyone else caught on but if there's one... there's more. It's literally in the sketchiness strip mall in all of Bailey's so that's saying something.

As soon as you walk into this establishment you get a delicious smell of spices - we were immediately excited! We started with the mezze sampler and all dips were delicious. The bread is baked fresh on site and was the perfect mix of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Our family got the salmon, mushroom crepe, zevian borack, brazino, and an order of hummus. It's very rare that everyone in the party thoroughly enjoyed their dishes, but we did! The zevian Borack I think was my favorite but it's hard to choose! The staff was so warm and welcoming, and we really enjoyed our family dinner here. The patio is dog friendly and we will be back this summer with our pooch. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

We got the octopus, and it had like four chopped up pieces for $28, as you can see in the photo. The branzino came out lukewarm and potato was cold. The plate consisted of 60% salad. I first tried the assorted kebabs. Unfortunately, the chicken had dried out and the kofta felt too crumbly. The chicken rice dish had quite aromatic rice but underseasoned chicken; seasoned rice alone can't substitute bland chicken drumsticks. The lamb rice dish had both aromatic rice and juicy, well seasoned lamb. I ended up combining the lamb pieces with the chicken rice. Out of curiosity, I tried a piece of their fried chicken. It proved juicy and not too oily. It would do well as a standalone appetizer in most restaurants. I also tried something that looked like lasagna, but without tomato. It tasted, to my uncultured palate, like a lasagna with some sort of cream or bechamel-like sauce. I quite enjoyed it. For dessert, my friend convinced me to try what I had initially passed over as oatmeal or tapioca pudding. The Omi Ali proved quite delectable, like a cross between bread pudding and oatmeal but with more nuanced spices and sweetness. I added it to my short list of desserts I enjoy, since I don't have much of a sweet tooth. Overall, I appreciated the breath and variety. Some hits and misses are to be expected at a homely, ethnic neighborhood style buffet.

We arrived at the tail end of their Iftar buffet and the restaurant was pretty full, but the manager (owner perhaps?) was so gracious and accommodating. Nobody else was sitting outside but he had the server set up a table for us within a few minutes. We ordered a sort of deep fried cheese stick wrapped in phyllo dough (can't remember the name!) which comes with a yogurt and dill dipping sauce - excellent! We also had the goshnan, a traditional meat pie with lamb and beef. The pastry was flaky and buttery and the mixture of meat and spices were very delicious. My son and I shared a chicken pide - a flatbread with cheese and chicken - also spiced to perfection. My husband ordered the rock pot soup with noodles and beef (you can also order it with seafood). He said it was very good. Our server was a sweetheart - patient with our questions and attentive even though he had to run in and out of the restaurant. The outside seating is nice because it's set back a bit from the street so you don't have cars roaring by while you eat. The Dolan Chai is not to be missed! It has dates and rose and lots of other wonderful elements. I've never had tea like this before. They also serve it iced which I imagine would be delightful.
