First time at Medbeauty LA and it was a great experience! The staff at the front desk is always super friendly. Check-in process was easy - I filled out a questionnaire, took some pictures of my skin for baseline, and waited for my esthetician. Joanna worked on my face and gave me the best deep hydration facial. She explained every step of the process and checked in to see if I had any questions. I felt very comfortable from start to finish. Luckily, my skin isn't overly sensitive so I didn't feel any of the tingly, crawly, or warm sensation that Joanna briefed me on. Today was my first time at MedBeautyLA, and honestly, it was the best experience I've had with Botox so far. Elizabeth Nguyen was my injector (I got Botox for my masseter and crow's feet), and she was super personable and informative. The process itself was quick and painless. I also asked Elizabeth for recommendations on other treatments I might consider, and she was super thoughtful and informative. She gave me advice based on my aesthetic goals and didn't try to upsell me on anything unnecessary. I'm a firm believer that less is more when it comes to injectables, so I really appreciated that--especially since there are a lot of unethical injectors out there. The front desk staff was lovely, though I didn't catch her name. She made the whole experience from start to finish feel really welcoming and answered all my questions about pricing, etc. The clinic itself is modern, clean, and relaxing. I came in on a Sunday, and street parking was pretty easy to find, but there's also a paid garage right across the street if you don't want to deal with the street parking. I have to say I haven't had a whole lot of experience with MedSpas generally, so picking the right one for my first facial was crucial (and kind of intimidating, if we're being real)! Now, looking back at it... I don't know what I was worried about! The whole team at MedBeautyLA made my experience so easy! The staff is super knowledgeable about all of their services, so they were able to recommend me what they thought was best for my skin (it wasn't about selling me the most expensive service, but the right service). I ended up getting the Power Peptide Resurfacer. The process was easy, fast, relaxing... and most importantly... painless. Joan, the aesthetician working on me, was so kind and professional. She explained all the different parts of the process and was very patient with my millions of questions. I have to say it's a super cliche line, but I left feeling like a million bucks. My skin felt firm and fresh, and I even got a few compliments from my friends later on who couldn't quite put their finger on what was different about me, but said I was "glowing" (in the best possible way). She has done two facials and I am about to do my third perfect peel this week. First time I tried the services of MedbeautyLA was about a year ago when I tried one of their facials. The facial was very painful and it left little permanent scars in the forehead area (look at the first picture). That time I promised myself to never go to that place again. Until recently when I needed botox injection in my forehead and decided to give it a second chance. I specifically asked for "Botox" in the message. Nobody told me they didn't have Botox. In fact, they did! The lady replied it's $5.5 per unit. I knew I maybe needed 10 units. But they were mentioning "dysport" which I never heard before and didn't realize it was a big difference in price. I never heard of that before. I don't even know why they offered dysport instead of Botox when I asked specifically for Botox. I feel like they did it on purpose to charge me as much as possible. What is more, my forehead lines never disappeared and they are already getting worse after 2 months! And all of that for $500?? Completely insane! I do Botox which lasts 6 months for not more than $100. This place is overpriced and for no reason completely. When I complained about the service, I was offered a free facial which already completely destroyed my forehead before! I really don't understand how anybody can be happy of this kind of services. Very expensive and the job they do is far from what it should be. I will definitely never go there again and will tell my neighbors from DTLA and other friends to never even consider MedBeautyLA services. Worst experience in entire LA County and I've tried many other places with positively surprising results. Be careful! read more

I've known Dr. A personally and professionally for more than 20 years. I cannot say enough good things about about her in both capacities. She's the only person I would let touch my face in any capacity. She's been in practice for many years via concierge service but I'm incredibly thrilled that she's opened a brick and mortar practice. Medspas are dime a dozen in So Cal but I trust her and her staff implicitly that I will drive all the way from OC to service this particular spa.
