A friend who is terminally ill wanted to have a lunch with a few close friends and I offered to pick up the food. She wanted Meddys. When I placed the order I was concerned about getting enough pita, so ordered extra, JIC. I picked up the food at the downtown location and waited 15 min past when it was supposed to be ready. I tipped $8 and left. I drove the 20 min to her house, unloaded the food and we have 2 (6-8") pita rounds total. No chips. Then we discover there's no fattoush dressing. I call the store and they want me to come back and get it, but we're having a luncheon and another 40 minute wait was not going to work. So we're at a luncheon where 2 of 4 have no food. I asked if they could refund the salad and the hummus, but he said it was all or nothing and I didn't think it s/b a complete freebie. He said he would talk to people and call me back, which never happened. Over the next 5 days I called & emailed, and spoke with a variety of people. Was told I would receive a return call no less that 3 times, but never did. Have yet to receive a call from them. Finally got a hold of the manager and she immediately had attitude. Rude and defensive. She claims the assistant manager had already called me back, but he hadn't, and she argued with me about it. Why would I lie? They gave me a refund of $2.49 for the "extra" pita. That's it. Apparently the all or nothing refund thing was a lie, too. On the 5th day, a woman from the home office sent me a "we so sorry" boilerplate email. I firmly believe I never would've received any response had I not been so persistent. Some of the worst customer service I've experienced in a decade. I'll never eat there again. Their lack of concern for the impact of their mistakes and refusal to take accountability....or even tell the truth, or be kind....was really disappointing. Please take your business elsewhere. I was so aggrieved by their flippant, lackadaisical attitude and lack of compassion I was almost sickened by it. I know it was just pita and dressing, but the lack thereof put a big damper on a precious and irreplaceable moment. Meddys saved a few bucks at the expense of a dying woman having a decent final luncheon with friends. So congrats! Meddys won the battle, but lost the war. Hope they feel good about it. read more

This is a wonderful experience you order at the counter what is a very nice establishment, clean good tables, comfortable chairs the service from the order taker at the register to the health refills. Your shoulders adds a nice touch to their service program. The food was excellent We had the lamb wrap with his extras at a bowl of tomato creamy soup and yes it was creamy and it was good. I got the Chicken Shawarma with a mushroom soup and they both hit the spot. Very delicious. They also give you a complimentary piece of pita and you can dip it in an olive oil mixed with delicious seasonings type of mix. Lastly, their bathroom is a 10 out of 10. This place hands down has some of the best Greek food, their hummus is by far the best I've ever had! Very smooth and creamy. I ordered the fully loaded hummus, it comes with roasted veggies and one choice of protein. I ordered two chicken and lamb with pita bread for my side. I give this place a 10/10. They also have outdoor seating and a full bar menu along with HH. You have the option to dine in or take it to go. I'll definitely be back and I highly recommend giving this place a try read more

This is a follow up of a 5 star review of Meddy's from back in July 2024, at which time I praised the restaurant for authentic flavors and a perfect sampler plate. Being of Lebanese heritage and eating and cooking the food for almost 45 years, makes me more critical than most people. Or, maybe this specific Meddy's location caters to college students (next to Wichita State) and has different standards than the one I visited last year. But entering the Meddy's on Greenwich made me feel like I was at a fast food restaurant, with the order at the counter, grab a number, and wait for your food. A year ago, the mgmt said they would explore adding seasoning and lemons to the tabouli salad and possibly adding dolmas. I was hoping that something new would be on the menu. Unfortunately, my experience was less than extraordinary this time. I ordered the sampler plate, and had to custom add tabouli and hummus, which made me wonder what actually comes on the plate. Another thing register on their Meddys app with your Bday and receive a free $15 gift card on the day of your birthday. This is the second time eating here and I must say, their hummus is so good and creamy. We ate it with fresh pita bread. My husband and I shared the Succulent Chicken Wrap. We were passing thru Wichita on a trip and decided to stop here to eat. We had shawarma wraps, 1 chicken and 1 lamb. We also both had garlic potatoes. Food was all really yummy. Came to our table hot which is always appreciated. Customer service was top notch! They gave us a free hot pita which was a nice touch and very good. Place was clean. Had seating inside and out. Meddy's was an extraordinary surprise on every front. But first some background. As a nearly life-long east coaster, I naively believed that a traveler couldn't find excellent Mediterranean food in the midwest and boy was I wrong. The friend we were visiting suggested Meddy's, I was thinking good 'ole fashioned Kansas BBQ but we obliged and I'm so glad we did. I don't know where to start. The ambiance? Great staff? Excellent food? I posted a bunch of pics around the time of our visit so I would suggest that you start there. What remains at the forefront of my mind were the hummus and baba ganoush. My friends enjoyed the chicken shwarma and I opted for the Wed variant instead. In the end, we shared everything. We desperately need a Meddy's out east. And why not? Could not be happier! 10/10. Wish this place was back home. Perfect date out with the husband and also perfect with kids. Happened upon this gem while traveling with kids. $1.99 kids meals including drink! Mind blown. One kid had Mac and cheese. The other two had chicken and rice bowls. Several options, but all were tasty and good sized. Staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful we've had in a long time. The ordering process was great (order at a counter and seat yourself). The lady taking our order was so helpful in deciding what to have. We sat ourselves and ordered cocktails at their impressively stocked bar. The spicy margarita is delicious and comes with a custom citrus-jalapeno salt rim. The pineapple martini is vodka infused in house with fresh pineapple for 2 weeks. Nothing feels out of a can--all freshly made. The food is delicious and healthy. Everything feels quality. So much better than the usual burger or chicken finger places that are readily available. We came later in the evening and had zero issues getting in and having food arrive quickly. As I'm eating more and more food in Wichita, I've kept a list of places to take potential guest and places for me to return to- and Meddy's was the first entry on that list. I ate at Meddy's first, then a week later I got an order to go. I've eaten the chicken shawarma and it's my favorite dish and likely my go-to order from here out including a delicious and gargantuan bowl of hummus with the house made pita bread and crunchy pita chips. The hummus and pita is not to be missed. I also ate the garlicky chicken with the seasoned potatoes. It was delicious, rich, and flavorful. I would definitely eat it again. My husband got a side of lentil soup and though it's not a side I would have picked- I loved it! Perfect for a chilly evening... with a little pita on the side! My #1 favorite restaurant in Wichita. I think I go here once every two weeks. You can dine in or get carry out, and it will still taste amazing. My go to item is the big bowl with chicken. Friendly greeting as we walk in the door started us off with a smile. Ordered the Meddys main plate with lamb and sautéed vegetables. This was before the dinner crowd so it was not too busy. The lamb hand a little crunch on the outside and juicy in every bite. It sat on a bed of garlic paste which added to the flavor. Excellent food and service. Brought a college soccer team of 33 in and although there wasn't enough seating we got the food to go and walked back to our hotel. The players are asking to eat there again while we are in town for the National Tournament. Portions were massive and food was extremely flavorful.
