Service good. Server not very friendly. Food had an odd flavor. Was fresh but some weird spice carried through about everything from hot tea all the way through wonton soup and hunan chicken. Had to be a spice that I'm not familiar with. Prices are reasonable. Two of us with hot tea, egg roll, & entree totaled $35.10 with tax. Was in town and stopped by their brick and mortar in Goddard. Ordered to go but spent about 10 minutes waiting for my order. Atmosphere was pleasant and the front server was very nice. Food was out quickly and hot. I tried the Szechuan beef with pork fried rice and a pork egg roll. The egg roll was pretty darn good. The beef was a little sweet to my liking but overall was still quite tasteful. Will go back when out west again. read more

Ginger is OK Asian food. It's not elegant, service is not really outstanding and the food is "average". Apparently they tone down the flavors for their perceived "Wichita" audience. There's nothing 'wrong' with their food, it just doesn't have that "pop" of asian flavor. The hot-sour soup is hot with heat, but not peppery, it's also not very sour. It's not bad, just average. Most of their entrees have a plethora of broccoli. I don't dislike broccoli, but they seem to think the more of it, the better. Again, their sauces aren't "bad" per se, just not really flavorful. The dishes they claim are "spicy" are just barely so. If you ask for it extra spicy, they seem to just throw on a bit more crushed red pepper. Their noodle dishes are done well, but not great. The flavors are "muted". Unfortunately, this is the closest "sit-down" Asian (or for that matter any cuisine) restaurant to Goddard, so it's a "go-to" place, I just don't expect to be "wowed" when I go there. read more

My husband and I ordered the orange chicken and honey chicken and both were overdone. Too hard to chew. Our salads were warm. The only thing that was good was our soda. Being that this is currently the only sit down restaurant in Goddard, we have gone here quite a bit. The food is absolutely wonderful. I would even go so far as to say that it is some of the best in the Wichita area. The portion sizes are pretty good and everything is always flavored well and cooked perfectly, not to mention that the prices have remained reasonable. The menu has many choices, so if you are in the mood for Asian food that isn't sushi, it is likely they have what you're looking for. The owner can be a little short with guests, but after all the years of returning (again, to the currently ONLY sit down restaurant in our small town - support local!) we believe that it is because she is incredibly busy. We always reassure the people that we bring with us that it isn't them or anything they have done, but rather just how many things she has to do to keep a successful business running. When we don't have the time to eat in, we often place a takeaway order and enjoy it at home. Great place! read more

Totally surprised and impressed with this restaurant. Extremely clean, smells great when you walk in, super friendly fast service. We have lived in Goddard for a few months and have been meaning to give them a try. Not disappointed at all! We had black bean chicken, Ho fun noodles, egg drop soup, and veggie springrolls. Everything was so fresh. The vegetables weren't overlooked and soggy. They used chicken breast but it wasn't dry. I added soy sauce and Sriacha to enhance the flavor, but overall this place is pretty legit. So excited to have good Asian food close to home! read more

This is our go to Asian restaurant. The food is always fresh, hot, and tastes so good. The servings are plentiful. We get our food to go because we live close. There dining room is small but is clean and has a cozy intimate atmosphere. So glad that Goddard has such a hidden gem. read more

Not our first time here. But I've seen other reviews and thought I would address our experience in regards to them. The service was quick and quiet. I wouldn't say rude just bare bones. Crab Rangoon. While we had a few thin pieces none were empty and the flavor was spot on. We also ordered sweet and sour chicken. The box was bursting hardly able to stay closed it was so full. Lightly breaded. Chicken lo me in. My daughter loved it. Said it's her favorite. I had the chicken Mei Fun. I enjoyed it very much as well. We will gladly go back and happy to have it so close. read more

My family and I really enjoy the food here. However we always really debate going back because the owner is horribly rude and indifferent. I'm actually surprised she can keep her restaurant running. It doesn't matter if we eat in, order takeout, she is rude either way. Do not recommend. The pork fried rice, which costs $6 extra, doesn't have any pork and the rice doesn't have any flavor. The rice has an extremely dark brown /burnt and flavor less taste to it. The General's chicken is usually a staple for Chinese food restaurants so can usually be depended on to be good. This chicken, like the rice, seems overly fried with stale oil and flavor less.
