While conveniently located in the Towne East area, the outside looks a bit rundown and not what we expected. Yelp pointed us here based on strong reviews and solid vegetarian offerings, and that sealed the deal. The staff - including the owner who showed us to our table - were super nice and helpful. Menu is pretty solid and plenty to choose from. They start you out with some biscuits, which was unexpected for a Mediterranean restaurant. While on the sweeter side, they were pretty good. The food itself was decent overall. The lamb kebab seemed a bit dry but not entirely out of line with other places. The falafel sandwich stood out in a good way and both the Salad and Baba Ghanouj were solid. Overall a solid, middle-of-the-road spot in Wichita. This was a very poor experience with take out. We hardly got any food for the price, the beef was undercooked, they left out the hummus we ordered and it was steeped in tomatoes. If it was just one of those things, I would reach out to the restaurant, but with an overall experience that poor, I want to make sure others don't have to go through the same experience we did. read more

This is Chris and I's favorite restaurant here in Wichita. We have dinner here at least once a week. The girls know us by name and are always thankful for our patronage. My go-to order is the Mixed Grill Teriyaki with Fattoush Salad. It is absolutely phenomenal! The kebabs are always grilled to perfection and the salad is always fresh! Had a delicious lunch here on a Monday afternoon around 12:30 PM. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. We were seated promptly and ordered food within 10 minutes. The waitress was very sweet, but she was busy since it appeared she was the only waitstaff. Regardless of her being the only server, we still had our waters filled and our order came out fast. This is probably my favorite Mediterranean restaurant that I have been to in Wichita. We ordered the hummus with pine nuts, the tomato soup, falafel sandwich with salad and chicken shish kabob plate with veggies. All of the meals were excellent, piping hot, and extremely fresh. The only thing I would say is that the manager or owner was there and didn't help the server much, even though he stopped by our table. We ordered the spumoni last minute, and instead of taking the order, he sent the server over. I would recommend this restaurant and would also eat here again on another visit. read more

This was not our first visit at Mediterranean Grill, but every time we've been here, it's been a 5-star experience. As the name suggests, the restaurant offers a variety of Mediterranean-based foods. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. While there, we ordered the Olive Bread, Lamb Kebab, and Turkey on Focaccia. The Olive Bread was very flavorful, and definitely filled us up in addition to the free biscuits we got. The Lamb Kebab was delicious, it provided a lot of well-seasoned lamb, with a lot of pita bread and hummus. Their pita bread is so fluffy and probably my favorite in Wichita. My friend got the Turkey on Focaccia which was a lot bigger than they were expecting. The sandwich definitely hit the spot for them and was very well priced. I was craving some mediterranean food in Wichita while shopping at the Town East Square and found this gem across the street! I was so excited to see that it was a little mom and pop shop kinda deal. We were seated promptly. Though there was quite a long wait until we were noticed again, a man, who I assume is the owner, came by with these delicious bread buns. It tasted like a subtle corn bread/biscuit hybrid! I was hooked. Our waitress then came by and we started with a chicken shawarma hummus with pita bread. The hummus was delicious! I liked the chicken for added flavor. We both ordered the Gyro in Pita, which was a combination of beef and lamb meat wrapped in a pita bread. It was delicious and very filling! I enjoyed the sauce and the seasoned fries, which complimented the gyro wonderfully. Overall, we were stuffed for the rest of the day after our lunch! This place was a lot busier than it has been in the past this time when we went. I was happy to see that. I felt like it wasn't getting the business it deserved. The food is excellent. I had the steak kabob special. The steak was so flavorful in whatever the marinade it in and tender. It had sautéed squash, zucchini and carrots and roasted red potatoes with it. Some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. The restaurant started out strong with amazing rolls for the table. I got a lamb gyro with baba ghanouj and pita. SOOOOOOO good. That was the MOST tender lamb I've ever had. The baba ghanouj was incredibly flavorful and the pita was soft and fluffy. All of the adults in our group had Turkish coffee as we finished our meal. It was delicious. I thinks it's a polarizing drink. You either love it or hate it. The restaurant made a fantastic coffee. I tried my friend's hummus and it was also delicious. I struggled to not spit it out. Additionally, I waited 32 min after my wife got her food to get my unbeatable gyro. Her food was also terrible. She ate about half of her overcooked fish.
