Indoor, outdoor seating with a nice vibe. The food is ok but not spectacular. It is authentic Colombian food. We got a bandeja paisa, a shrimp avocado salad, lulo con agua, and maracuyá con leche. The jugos naturales were fresh and yummy. They didn't add too much extra sugar which was great. The beans with the bandeja paisa were bland. They were to totally missing flavor. The portion was somewhat small too. The shrimp avocado salad was good but the house dressing was like tomato sauce with sugar. It was not good at all. The service was ok. We found a long hair in the beans halfway through eating it and we had to flag down a different server to let that be known. When our server finally came over to check on us she literally asked, "what did you do with the hair, is it on the plate?" We said yes & she just walked away. No apologies or anything. After multiple trips here and many different meals, I have to say that I really love this place. The food is incredible. All of the employees that I've had the pleasure to interact with have been amazing! They are all very attentive and very pleasant with my Spanglish . The restaurant has an authentic, Colombian vibe and I can attest as a frequent visitor to Colombia. I'm thankful for this place and will continue to bring my professional lunch meetings here and introduce them to my favorite culture at the moment. My wife and I came here for the first time, and Medellin didn't disappoint. Centrally located in a shopping plaza with plenty of free parking, this restaurant offers a diverse menu of Colombian food to choose from. We tried the following: - Ajiaco: Traditional Bogotá-style shredded chicken and three variety of potato soup with corn and guascas (Colombian herb). Served with rice, avocado, cream, and capers.). - Sancocho de Gallina: Special broth with chicken; includes potato, corn, yuca, and plantain. Served with rice and avocado. - Colombian Empanadas Trio: Chicken and beef served with sauce. For drinks we went for a latte and a lulo juice. For dessert, we tried the meringue dessert and oblea (wafer filled with strawberries, condensed milk and whipped cream. The coffee and drink were good and he soups were great. Areas of improvements: The empanadas were OK and the de desserts were OK too as they were extremely sweet. One dessert is enough for two people. The service was fantastic and common areas were comfortable and clean. The whole vibe was fun and felt like we were in a nice restaurant in Latin America. We did not try drinks, but the was a nice looking bar.  Overall, highly recommended, and we will definitely come back. read more

The atmosphere is colorful, fun, and modern. The staff were very friendly. Our waiter, I think his name is David, was sooooo nice and so excited about the food. He made some excellent recommendations tailored to our tastes. The coffee was delicious. We had Patacones Montaneros which were delicious plantain cups filled with delightful proteins. I had the Lengua en salsa Criolla which melt in your mouth lengua. The rice was incredible. My husband had Bandeja Paisa which was fantastic as well. We will definitely be back. read more

Not sure what sets this apart... Charlotte is better with more variety in cuisine, and I hope Medellin can contribute to the richness. You're coming here for food over ambiance, but they do best they can with the layout of the place. While Columbian, the menu was sprinkled with several dishes from the general region as well. They were out of what if's wanted, and the fish platter and Columbian rice were fine but not a must have again by any means. The seating was definitely awkward and they could improve there. Service was fine, a bit quiet and not terribly forthcoming with recommended, but a sweet person. It's clean, it's good... and I'd like to see more and step it up on the flavors and unique dishes. Take a page from El Cubano and bring them Columbian culture to life in there! read more

This fairly new restaurant is friendly and welcoming, the great rhythms of salsa music at a level that you can have a conversation and enjoy the tunes. The staff is very friendly and attentive, our table waitress Linda was amazing! We ordered the seafood soup and their bandeja paisa a Medellin typical dish and it was superb! I do have to say it took me three tries to get into this restaurant but it was worth the wait! read more

Oh. My. God. Sooo...hubby is Latino who was raised in Miami. Living in the southeastern part of the US we get a decent amount of good mexican and occasional Cuban. This place takes me back to the Colombian food we've had while traveling internationally and when in Miami. AMAZING flavors, great atmosphere and incredibly friendly service. Been here several times. Came with my whole family for lunch. Waiter was fantastic. Hostess in charge was informed my meal came out 15 minutes after the other 4 members and she didn't even bother to fine and apologize. Stuffed it off like it was unimportant. The service was ok she was new (didn't know what kind of beer they had but no problem) the food was excellent never had Colombia food but that was great cooking shout out to the kitchen staff But the hostess or the manager needs some help they kept trying to rush us out but took 30 minutes to bring a cocktail that cost $14 think they needed the table they sat us at but that's not our fault tab was $126 left a $34 tip and try to order another drink and waitress said have to ask the manager really what are they doing ? read more

I don't usually leave reviews but this one has to be done. Sitting was fast and somewhat what we wanted (we asked to get moved to a different table) and that's when it went south. Waitress took one go around to our table to ask for our "drinks, apps and food" as if wanting us to leave quick. We asked for appetizers (2 simple orders of empanadas) and once they arrived, 2 were cold and one was completely raw! Let me not forget about how long it took for us to get our drinks, which were part of the "valentine's day specials" I'm sorry but if it's a "special date" those should be at the very front of the line. (Mind you they were not fully packed, so there were no reason as to why it should've taken that long to get 2 simple cocktails). With that being said, we still left a decent tip. Even though we didn't have a full meal cause we didn't want to be "disappointed" but they still managed to do that. They charged us an extra 10 dollars which we have no idea where that came from. (It's ten dollars I know; but hey some might need them more than us......) not just that, once they brought us a RAW empanada they did nothing but bring a "new" one. Not an apology given. As a "new" restaurant they should be trying to be making all customers want to come back..... this restaurant is by far one of the worse priced for the quality I've ever been to. And sadly as it sounds this is the first and last time I'll try this place. Service was beyond subpar with the waitress coming to our table maybe 3 times at most and one of the "helpers" being the one we actually were able to tell about our food not being COOKED PROPERLY!!!! There wasn't a wait but we made reservations since it's Valentine's day weekend. The menu was very versatile. You could eat authentic Colombian dishes, or get "fast food" but the burger is prob better than other restaurants who sell mostly burgers. The prices were very fair for cocktails/alcohol and the entrees were worth the price. Natalía was our server and for how busy it was was very helpful with the menu, specials and what the authentic dishes were. We're coming back next week for a family members birthday. read more

Me parece que todavia necesitan hacer algunos ajustes. A la bandeja paisa le hace falta mas sazon, nos parecio muy simple. Nos preguntan como quieren el huevo, duro/medio/blandito? Los pedimos blanditos y no los traen como una piedra. El plato Mar y Fuego trae 3 camaroncitos bebes - pero en la foto del menu son 4 y se ven grandes. Dejo un poco que desear ese plato. Queriamos tomar refajo y no tenian Colombiana, se les habia acabado. Pedi un trago del menu "especial", lo interesante del trago era que contenia la fruta lychee, pero en vez de eso me lo traen con dos cerezas y no me dicen nada hasta que yo pregunte - y ahi si me informan, "hay que pena se nos acabo".
