    Mango margarita
    Garland M.

We went here for National Margarita Day and really enjoyed the food and drinks. My wife got a pina colada and I got a mango margarita. They specialize in Honduran, Mexica, and Salvadorean food. There is a huge parking lot and this place does get pretty busy. The service was okay, it took us a while to get seated and also a while for anyone to check on us and take our order. Other than that the staff is nice, most of the staff there only speaks Spanish so if you do not speak Spanish you'll need to have some patience. The interior design was really nice, the bar is massive, and the decorations are cool. I would definitely return here for a meal and try something else.

    Beef 3. Chimichanga Lunch Special
    Samantha P.

When my friend and I walked in the girl standing at the front register didn't greet us, but another girl walked up and asked us how many people in our party and sat us. We both ordered a chimichanga. I had chicken and my friend had beef. The food was good but not spectacular. The drinks looked good but weren't flavorful or strong. During our visit the service was good but an employee came out and started mopping the floor all around us. This was a bit odd to have to walk over a wet floor after dining. Overall I would rate my experience 3.5. Nothing about the visit would compell me to return.

Food is tasty and portions are generous. The menu is also very extensive and varied. I appreciate that the service is quick and the waitresses are very attentive. There's always someone from upper management doing rounds and asking if everything is ok too. Place always seems clean; there's always staff wiping down the tables and mopping. There's also a good amount of parking space.

    Honduras and El Salvador Steak

Took to go the Honduras and El Salvadoran steak. Considering that it was a weekday lunch, service was pretty slow and we had to wait 15 minutes longer for our to-go order. The meat was tough and not very flavorful, but the beans were amazing and portions incredible. Two people definitely could have shared one dish!

The food here is great and cost effective. The service just sucks. At both locations. When you walk in as a Black person employees stare at you and don't even greet you. You're basically in charge of your experience which if you're paying for it, it shouldn't be that way. Our waitress only checked on us twice out of obligation and the only thing she asked was "Anything else", no eye contact was made, and body language was awful. When we asked someone else for help they couldn't be bothered to do it. We noticed the difference in interactions/service with customers who were Spanish or Latino compared to ours. And while eating I had to participate in a staring contest with several employees. Probably won't be back here if I can find a more welcoming place with the same quality of food. I'd suggest ordering to go and enjoying your food in the comfort of your non biased

Ordered from here on UBER eats. 1. Order instruction were followed very well. Very happy with that. 2. Does NOT skimp out on salsa, big +. 3. Shrimps in ceviche very meaty, taste fresh. Plenty of avocado + stars. 4. Food arrive still hot. 5. Ceviche wasn't "spicy" enough though, probably just personal preference. 6. Their fries are the soft kind, prefer more crunchier fries but thats personal taste from eating fast food fries. One thing I like is that their fries have a small hint of cheese flavor to it maybe from the burrito? Overall, very satisfied with my order.

Es un restaurante con variedad de comida latina. El pollo con tajadas, las pupusas todo muy delicioso. Las meseras dan un buen servicio y muy amable con sus clientes. La comida si se demora un poco en estar.

I originally was going to place the order online, but they're online option said it was unavailable so I went inside and sat down at the bar. The service was OK though it seemed most people did not speak English, which is fine. It just made it kind of harder to communicate. That said the food was decent but the reason why I gave two stars was because I feel very misled on pricing. The menu showed Que Siberia tacos three for $12. Steak/Asada tacos for three dollars which brings my total to 15+ the two drinks. I thought she said it was $20.80 so I paid it with my card and gave her five dollars cash for a tip. I get to the car just to double check the transaction and she charged me 3499 on my card and took the cash. I went back inside to confront her about this advising. She completely overcharged me, and she only offered to give my six dollars tip back to me. I am now going to dispute the transaction with my bank because I was unable to resolve this issue. That's sad.

The order was slow to come out and was incorrect, I'll live. It was the lack of follow up that got me. Never seen the ordered cheese dip or requested salsa. Did not see server any where. Order delivered correctly and promptly. He approached my table several times to insure all was good. The difference between to two stores has made me quit forever the Northlake location. My spicy margarita had the perfect kick, and his giant mug of beer was ice cold. The restaurant is far bigger than it appears outside. I worried we would have to wait for a table, but they have a great set up. Music was great, plenty of TVs if your boyfriend (or you) wants to watch the game. Can't wait to come back!

I fell in love with Superica when I first moved to Charlotte nearly three years ago, and it quickly…read morebecame one of my go-to spots for reliable, flavorful Tex-Mex. But I have to start with a small heartbreak: my beloved puffy taco is gone. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where the puffy taco was created, and it's deeply nostalgic for me. It's not a sope, not a tostada--it's a true puffy taco, light, airy, and unlike anything else. For a long time, Superica made one that came remarkably close to what I grew up with. Unfortunately, after changes in leadership and kitchen management, it quietly disappeared from the menu. That was a real disappointment. That said, I still come back--because the food here is consistently good. The crispy tacos with picadillo are my current favorite. Picadillo (P-I-C-A-D-I-L-L-O) is a traditional Latin dish with many regional variations, and this version reminds me of the one my grandmother used to make in San Antonio. The portions are generous, the flavors are balanced, and the menu offers something for everyone--from enchiladas and chile rellenos to steaks and fresh tableside guacamole. Speaking of guacamole, I'm a purist. I like it simple: avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, garlic--chunky and clean. Superica delivers on that. The chips and salsa are bottomless, the salsa has great depth of flavor, and for those who like heat, they offer a tiny dropper of hot sauce that is smoky, bold, and absolutely not for the faint of heart. The ginger margarita is another standout. It comes with a generous piece of crystallized ginger and has a bright, balanced flavor that makes it easy to order a second one. And if you have room for dessert, do not skip the tres leches cake--rich, decadent, and a perfect way to end the meal. I also appreciate the little touches here: * Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff * A lively bar area that's great for happy hour * A beautiful outdoor patio that makes al fresco dining feel special * And a fun tradition of sending you home with a packaged Texas praline This South End location is my personal favorite. It feels more adult and relaxed, while the Strawberry Hill location tends to be more family-heavy. Both are good, but the vibe here suits me better. Yes, prices have crept up a bit--as they have everywhere--but the quality, consistency, and atmosphere keep me coming back. And as someone who travels frequently for work across multiple states, I appreciate that Superica maintains a dependable standard wherever I encounter it. Bottom line: Even without the puffy taco, Superica remains one of my favorite Tex-Mex spots in Charlotte. Come hungry, bring friends, share plates--and as always, travel safe and eat well.
