I have been a shopper at the Micro Center store in Cambridge, MA. The customer service is friendly…read more The sales people are knowledgeable about the various products. I got my computer repaired at Micro Center. They fixed the computer without losing data on my hard drive and did a backup on another external drive. Everything went smoothly. Also, they texted when parts arrived and how much of the repair was done.

It was clear the $160 8th gen they had in stock would meet my need and then some. The associate I spoke with tried to first sell me a 2025 iPad ($450). When I pressed it wasn't needed, the 8th gen would work fine, he pushed back that I really needed a 9th gen for $250. I insisted again that the 8th gen was more than I need, he was frustrated but generated the ticket. I ended up walking out without buying the device. I bought an 8th gen, $50 cheaper, elsewhere. If I didn't know what I needed, if I didn't feel comfortable pushing back on an aggresive salesperson, I would have walked out $300 poorer and with more device than I needed. While browsing, I witnessed someone buying a laptop but before they would give them the slip they "had to introduce them" to their sales manager who came over to try and push a different, more expensive system. I used to love the place but now it feels like a sleezy car dealership. I most likely won't be back unless there's a very specific, undeniable need to go there.

Even by the low standards of Target, this is an absolutely joyless shopping experience. I'll start…read morewith the good, since that list is short - the store is clean, and there appear to be staff walking the aisles regularly stocking stuff. Everything else, though, is rough. The only check-out with people is the customer service desk. Everything else is self-service. What that means is that the store isn't conducive to actually filling your cart. If you wanted to do some grocery shopping in there, it's going to be a slow process as you're either scanning things yourself or handing them over a counter to someone. Another issue is the order pickup for app/remote orders. Maybe a result of staffing levels, but the few times I've done this the staff there seemed either confused or stressed out by the process. Given the relatively small square footage, I think this Target is also trying to do too much. There are electronics but not too many. Clothing but not too much. I am just as likely to not find what I need as to find it. And the Starbucks in there has wild levels of turnover, resulting in consistent issues with orders there. Overall, a tough spot.

Compact size Target store that had what I was looking for. The rest of the store was well set up and very clean. The floors were spotless and the check out process was very swift. I would recommend this location if you are in the area.

The Geek Squad desk was very helpful with a computer repair that need to take place rapidly. The technician Dylan was very knowledgeable and very organized. He was virtually helping three clients at the same time - multitasking like a FAA airport control in he middle of a crisis. Jesus was also super helpful and patient as he helped me identified a decent computer deal for my son. We had to buy a replacement. Value is on the expense side, despite the Total package. Best Buy has started to charge a fee for $100 even when it is the computer that has some serious keyboard defects. So that was less cool. Be aware- The roundabout to get to the Best Buy is a nightmare of traffic. It took me 45 minutes to get out of the roundabout. Overall, smaller size store with professional and dedicated staff.

Multiple things worked prior to it being set up, and after it was wired up, they weren't working well. My driver side air vent was completely blocked and the wiring looked like vomit. Extremely disappointed. Nothing was appropriately wired up and "clean"... Everything was everywhere. Can you believe that the person that installed it for me at Best buy put everything in the driver side air vent so no air could go out? Then I went back the following week for things to get cleaned up, and nothing got fixed after I mentioned that it wasn't working. I'm all done with the $200 a year membership, it's not worth it I would rather go to a professional. I feel bad for the guy working there.
