I understand he changed his business model but she felt like she was dumped with no choice but to find another PCP . I wasn't there 5 minutes, and the good doctor was already getting kickbacks. Deplorable. I never actually saw the doctor. Even though I made an appointment TO SEE the doctor, I was presented, without explanation, with a 'physician's assistant'. She ordered a mammo and a colonoscopy - I'm 40 years old, neither is necessary. I was there, as a healthy, reasonably young women, for a bare bones physical to satisfy an insurance requirement. So I politely declined both suggested tests. She didn't like that. She ordered the needed bloodwork, but I later learned she didn't order all the insurance-required bloodwork, even though I presented her with the insurance company's requirements. In writing. So I had to go back to the testing center in Enfield - a town I'd rather not visit more than necessary - a second time to complete the blood work. My husband got an earful that day. I've since taken charge of my health care, and go to Dr. Lucia Coletta in Granby for health checks. She is wonderful, absolutely wonderful. She is an accomplished naturopath, and our insurance accepts her service.

The doctor does not discuss what tests are being performed by the lab until after your appointment. I called the doctors office after talking with the insurance company and the lab and she was supposed to follow up with them a month ago and today I got a reminder from the lab that I owe still owe the lab the same amount of money. Mostly I'm disappointed with the way the doctor treats you when you are in the office. She only cares about her agenda and does not try to understand her patients. I'll be looking for a new provider.

Dr. Johnson was very professional and kind and listened to my concerns, talked me through the procedure and what to expect. I initially saw her in May and scheduled the actual surgery for January when it would be colder and in between the Christmas and Easter holidays which are my busy times, and I'd have time to recoup and heal prior to the summertime. During the entire process and including post-surgery, all the staff including Carl at the front desk were always very courteous, helpful and responsive to my phone calls or emails. After surgery I had no complications and am healing nicely; minimal fluid for drain output, minimal swelling, and pain was not as bad as I had expected it might be. I was back at work (a desk job) 2 weeks post op, and, as a church musician (piano player) I missed two weekends but attended my first rehearsal at two and a half weeks post op and I was able to play again without issue, which I had been mildly worried about. Actually, I think the hardest part of the whole process was having to sleep in an elevated position and with support of your arms by your side to help the swelling, which as a lifetime side sleeper, made it hard to get as much rest as a would have liked. Although recovery is never fun, I would do this again as I feel like I have a new lease on life, knowing I will no longer have to hide myself and feel embarrassed about my arms. After all the hard work I put into losing weight, I finally feel much better in my own skin. I thank Dr. Johnson for her beautiful work that has impacted me so positively both physically and emotionally.

It turns out that not only did they have her email address wrong, but they had us living in a different state. Due to this, we never got the original bills. Once notified, I started a payment plan, figuring to pay the balance over a few months. after only a single payment, they sent our bill to a collection agency. While she received quality medical care, they billing was poorly done. THEY made errors on my wife's email address and street address, and then penalized US for it. I wouldn't recommend them unless someone else is paying for the bill.
