My 10, 8 & 4 year old all see Dr. Kwon & the wonderful hygienists who work at Media Lima Dental. We've been going since my oldest was 1 or 2 years old. My older two have always done great but my little one has been apprehensive. Today we went for cleanings and the hygienist (really wish I remembered her name) was so sweet and patient with my youngest. She literally sang her a song during her cleaning. At the end of the appointment my little one was happy and so proud of herself. What a relief! Dr. Kwon always does a thorough check at the end and gives helps suggestions for at-home care. Me and my kids love it there, we highly recommend it. Thank you! Daughter needed a cavity filled, and Dr. John Kwon wanted to cap 7 teeth for $8000 and at least another $1000 for anesthesia. Got a second and third opinion from Kidsteeth near Swarthmore and West Chester Smiles and they both said one cap and a few fillings for roughly $1500. This guy also talked about his specialty training for 20 minutes, talked down to my wife for my daughters dental hygiene, and referred to my daughter as autistic because she didn't like him and was uncomfortable. I started using Media Lima Dental about a year ago, after my dentist of 40+ years retired. This is a very well run, professional organization. I have never waited more than a few minutes for my appointment. The doctors and staff are very pleasant and do a great job. They offer a reasonably priced fixed price program which includes two cleanings and X-rays. From what I have observed, they are wonderful with children. My 16 month old had her first dentist visit today and I was so pleased and so impressed by this place. Clean and kid-friendly, this practice has a very friendly front desk staff. The hygienist, Iteisha, was amazing with my baby and gave me a ton of helpful information and brushing tips for her. My kiddo wanted to be held by her after just a few minutes! Dr. John (Kwon) was also wonderful. He answered all my questions, gave me lots of encouragement and guidance, and was gentle with his exam. I honestly can't remember how I found this practice but I'm really glad I did. This office is sooo amazing with children! My daughter (4 at the time) was horrible at her original dentist and they didn't want to even try to do the work she needed so they referred us here and I couldn't be happier. They are patient and know how to work with kids to get them comfortable. They did great work on her mouth and really care about helping us keep her teeth healthy. Couldn't recommend more. read more

Dental hygienist was very nice, took the time to explain everything going on, and made sure I was comfortable during every step. Also had braces put in and they did an excellent job with them! They also implemented several safety measures to keep people safe during the pandemic, so I felt very comfortable being there. Honestly, I can't understand the one star about the "missed appointment fee." I've been to the office at least eight times and I probably cancelled and re-scheduled at least a dozen times (once the same day) and I was never charged. I've also never spoken to a rude receptionist on the phone or in person at this office. The "in-house" dental plan ($95 - includes x-rays, two cleanings and 15% discount on any services - like fillings, etc.) is a great deal. It's what brought me in the door via word of mouth because I don't have (and can't afford) dental insurance. It makes me happy that now I can afford to take care of my teeth. Dr. Sung amazed me with how gentle he is and his ability to actually NUMB me in the right places. He has provided the most pain-free dental experiences of my life (and trust me, there have been many...) Anyhow, I recommend his office to friends all the time because the office is clean, the staff friendly, the dentist SKILLED, and the prices just can not be beat. Dr. Sung also impressed me by NOT advising I have my wisdom teeth removed the moment he saw them (in fact, he said it was great to keep them and they looked fantastic - except for a cavity in one he filled). I also asked about switching out my metal fillings and he honestly advised me that because of the positioning (really deep fillings) I would risk nerve damage and may loose the teeth. I appreciate that he was totally honest and up-front, rather than just seeing dollar signs. I've since moved out of the area, but have continued to make a 45 minute trek to Media Lima Dental because I wouldn't dream of going anyplace else! read more

I would give these guys NO stars if it was an option. I had an emergency come up and had to cancel an appointment and did so the DAY BEFORE the appointment was scheduled. They charged me a $50 "missed appointment fee" for doing so. Needless to say I was not going to pay a fee for calling to cancel my appointment with plenty of advance warning. I tried to let them know that they would be losing all of my future business along with the business of my two other family members just so they could charge me a $50 fee (which they would not be seeing from me) and the women on the phone was so rude. They are not an intelligent business if they think it's worthwhile to charge a $50 "missed appointment" fee on an appointment that was cancelled, NOT missed rather then have our business for years to come. I wouldn't trust getting my teeth cared for by a business without the brains to do simple math. read more
