Despite having both primary and secondary insurance on file, the office has refused to bill the secondary insurance for the allergy-related services and instead is attempting to collect an estimated amount based on primary insurance directly from us. What makes this even more frustrating is that they did bill the secondary insurance for his primary care visit during the same time frame, which clearly shows they have the information and ability to process it. This inconsistent billing practice has created unnecessary stress and confusion. Patients should not have to chase down billing issues or be pressured to pay out of pocket when a secondary insurance policy exists that should be billed first. We have tried to address this with the office but have not received a reasonable resolution. Transparency and consistency in billing are basic expectations in healthcare, and unfortunately that has not been our experience here. I had to wait about 15 minutes and had about 4 people in front of me. Everyone was very kind and caring from start to finish.
