I've seen many different practitioners over the years for my various pains and injuries, and Felix has been the best I've seen, especially for anything muscle/soft tissue-related. He's incorporated a number of different modalities into his knowledge and practice that few others have, and he's also great at listening to what's going on and figuring out the sources of your pain so you can feel better. I started seeing Felix for bodywork in early 2021 at the recommendation of my (awesome) chiropractic Ashanna of Body Mind Chiropractic. He is what I would call a "body wizard" because of his incredible ability to assess through his diagnostic modalities what is going on and causing pain in different places. He helped me immensely with a low back/sacral injury I had had in late 2019 but that I didn't get enough care for during the stress of 2020. I had alot of painful buildup and adhesions in muscles and attachments and overall postural "off-ness." Combined with chiropractic and PT, I started to be able to take longer and longer walks with no pain and then finally got fully back to dancing with no fear or pain. Felix is a true healer! I had a rotator cuff injury that made it too painful to play tennis or pickleball. I thought I was in for months of PT but after a single 30-min massage with Felix he fixed me right up! The pain was gone and muscle weakness resolved. It's been a couple months now and I'm still feeling great and back out on the courts. Felix took time to listen, and used stretches to guage my strength and where it was lacking before working on me. It was an intense massage experience but very worth it. I'll be back for any other injuries that come up (or possibly just for a relaxing massage, which I got the sense would be pretty amazing). I have always pushed my body hard, that combined with a stressful job and questionable attention to posture means that I have had massages and body work regularly for the last 20 years plus. I cannot over state this enough, Felix is a life changer. I have seen most of the cmts in the local area, ones with hundreds of 5 star Yelp reviews and Felix is in a class by himself. He is very knowledgeable about the body and using his muscle tests he can figure out what muscles are not firing which is causing you pain. Usually it's in a completely different area than where you're actually feeling the pain. I tell him that it's very much a love/hate relationship. Fixing your body means pushing on knots and sensitive areas, and frankly, it can be intense. But I love it because that means I'm going to feel amazing afterwards and my body is that much less messed up before I went in. If you are looking for someone who really knows the anatomy, physiology and techniques to really fix your issues, you've found it. This isn't relaxing massage giving you temporary relief. It is medical massage that is finding areas of dysfunction and reseting/retraining them so that proper function can be restored. I was clear going in that my hip and inguinal pain was not a quick fix and I am so happy to have found Felix to set me up for success! I left with significantly less pain, more range of motions AND relief in areas I was ignoring were dysfunctional. Specifically, I can breath deeper, my digestion was moving along, my mid and low back are more at ease. Felix explains how these areas are all interrelated and what further work would be useful (I asked).
