I got the lipo shot, 5 of them from Groupon. They gave me little information on the product or actual help on weight loss. I've been working out before I went here. Went on weekly walks ( 3 times a week - 3 miles) and I live a pretty active life with two puppies. But I did not lose weight or "lose inches" as they promised. I feel like I wasted my money. The worse part? - the times I went in to get shots, they were so nonchalant and too dismissively quick. They did not give me any helpful information or weight loss tips. I wanted to have a better and informative experience with them so I can start a healthier life and work with their "plans" and products, but after this? I'll take my loss. read more

So far, I really like this location. I've been here three times, after transferring from the Anaheim location to this one. I really like that they are affiliated with several locations, including Chino, Oceanside, Fontana, Corona, Temecula, Anaheim, this Long Beach location, and two locations in Arizona; Mesa and Scottsdale. I thought that transferring would be complicated, which is why I continued driving out to Anaheim, but it's not. I found the process to be very easy. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I explained that I am an Anaheim patient and that I wanted to transfer to Long Beach, since it's closer to home. They called the Anaheim location, gave them my information and Anaheim faxed over my records. I was immediately able to continue services there. Although services were good by everyone, there was one girl who worked in the mornings when I would go and she would weigh me in, but not tell me my results or how I'm progressing. She was overly quiet, to me; the type that wasn't social. Then we would move on with everything else and I'd forget to ask the results before leaving. This happened all the time with her. Every other place that I had been to, they would always tell you your progress and compare to the prior week, then go over any changes that you made or could make. That was the only thing that I didn't like. Other than that, I brought the "Anaheim Special" to this location! Since I came from the Anaheim location, I started asking for them to do the same combination as Anaheim, which they did and for the same price. I believe they offer it to all patients, now. Their "great staff" must've left because now all they have are girls that look like they hate their job.. I came here to get the weight loss injections. Paid a month's worh in advance only to be told two weeks in that the B12 shot is now being charged separately? Excuse me that's not what Ms Oksana told me. Whatever I paid the extra 12 dollars. Second issue, they told me I needed bloodwork and so I got it done there, paid $70 for it. The following week I get there, they couldn't find my file, turns out it was at Oksana's desk. The only reason a file would be out is if new info was received and needed to be charted right? (I'm not dumb I been working in the medical field for almost 10 yrs) so when I asked if I would see the NP the MA says in a rude tone "for what" and I said "to go over the results" She goes and asks and comes back and tells me that the results aren't in yet. What a bunch of BS. I knew I was being lied to, labs don't take over a week to be ready, especially some simple bloodwork. And her tone, really rubbed me the wrong way. I get it, you don't have to be the friendliest person but jeez work on your delivery. Today I called to see if my labs were in since supposedly they weren't available last week, oh what do you know the girl that answered said " they said that you will need to retake the bloodwork because they didn't draw enough blood last time so can you come in on Saturday?" The hell I will not. Too many inconsistencies in such a short time. There's plenty of places that offer the same services with friendly/welcoming staff. This message is in regards to my experience on 7/21/20. It is to address Long beach medical weight lost group negligent and at best LAZY COVID policies. I am a RN, BSN and have my Masters in hospital administration where I work as an Compliance officer for a Medical system in Torrance. This information is only relevant because my daily job and task includes being within guidelines of the local and federal agencies when its comes to things such as patient safety. My last visit was approx 2 weeks ago where I was informed about a "special" to pay over $150 to get around 10 Lipotropic shots. I agreed. In addition, I usually get my Vitamin B12 shots as well. I arrived to the clinic and was reading the multiple signs about their COVID policies where I was greeted by a voice behind a locked door. Later , I will discover that voice belonged to their staff Nurse practitioner. Her demeanor is definitely NOT welcoming but I was there for a specific need and didn't mind...AT FIRST. I explained I am there to get my 2 weeks medication and to get 1 of the shots that I had previously paid for. She asked me did I want all of the shots or just 1. I was baffled by this question because I said " I can get injected 10 shots at once or what do you mean? " She goes on to further explain that their new COVID policy is you can either A ) leave your shots on your file and get the injections later whenever they open up again or B) take the injections home and do it yourself or find a medical professional to administer them for you . Although I was rather shocked and disappointed at this news, I decided that I am in the medical field so I will take them home. However, after she took my debit card through the hole and charges me and comes back with 2 syringes with approx. 20-25 gauge needle in a plastic bag. My regulatory alarms started going off. She hands it to me say its intramuscular and put in the refrigerator. That's it? No tutorial, no video link, no paper work with instructions from THE NURSE PRACTIONER? I told her no thank you and she can take them back and I would just come back later for the injections when they fully open back up. Let me be clear, the option for Long beach MEDICAL GROUP Center to give their patient a 20-25 gauge needle to DO IT yourself and or go seek a medical professional is completely negligent. The patients did seek a medical professional to administer their injections safely. Those medical professionals belong to your staff. It is incumbent upon your "clinic" to assure patient safety that is all encompassing. The average joe should not be allowed to go home with 1 inch needles and syringes with AT THE VERY LEAST paperwork explaining proper administration and proper DISPOSAL. Furthermore, what happened to taking the blood pressure of the patients to make sure the phentermine is not having adverse side effects. I am saying this as someone who is in the medical field this so called COVID policy is dangerous and lazy at best. ""Intramuscular injections must be done carefully to avoid complications. Complications with IM include muscle atrophy, injury to bone, cellulitis, sterile abscesses, pain, and nerve injury (Hunter, 2008; Ogston-Tuck, 201"" Above is a few of the documented complications that can come with giving yourself injections incorrectly. As I spoke with Tawny (the manager) if your "clinic" is going to be open and you are deemed AN ESSENTIAL MEDICAL business with ESSENTIAL workers then you have a service to provide as safely as possible. Your essential workers should don their PPE and the clinic can incorporate the use Plexiglas as well if need be. However, it IS your duty to make sure your patient aren't harmed by COVID and aren't harmed by randomly googling how to giving themselves a intramuscular injection with NO guidance from YOUR medical professionals. Concentrating on COVID concerns, while not recognizing the dangers of improper needles use, improper disposal , and not monitoring patients vitals as an adverse effect the medicine IS EQUALLY negligent. I am appalled. Tawny went to make comparison to people who give themselves insulin or fertility treatment's who administer at home injections. I am all too familiar with fertility injections. Yes, I gave them to myself AFTER the nursing staff at HRC fertlility clinic in Pasadena showed me how to properly do it and gave me reading material to take home. Shame on you. Your open enough to slip your hand out through a cracked window to take our money but not open enough to make sure patients are safe in other ways read more

This place is a scam. First off the customer service is incredibly horrible. They don't explain exactly what it is that youre walking into. All they do is prescribe you Phentermine which can be prescribed by any clinic and if you have insurance you can get it for free. Aside from the Phentermine they also give you a ton of other pills. All those pills do is give you constipation. The price is outrageous. Weekly it's approximately 50.00 depending on how many weeks you requests. Don't waste your damn time. I had an 8:00 appointment for this office and was sitting for 20 minutes and I asked how much longer and was advised the "doctor @ didn't come in until 8.30. I stayed ok but my appointment was at 8.30 and they said they would call him in early. I said no problem but I just wanted to know how long it would take. At about 8:30 I'm sitting in the lobby and I hear a yell from the back office calling my name. From the back office without the manners to come to the lobby so I go back and the "doctor is clearly angry and says "What do you want" I said I'd like info on their programs and he says to go look them up on the internet!" This type of angry and rude behavior went on for awike and it was clear he was angry and wanted me out of there so I thanked him and left. Save yourself the time and aggravation and skip this place. The "doctor" is rude and abrasive. The rest of the staff were nice but in the lobby patrons were complaining to me about the place and didn't recommend it. read more

I was a little nervous since it was my first time but they took great care of me. The visit was quick and easy! They took care of me right away explained everything to me about the package as well as the medications I would be taking and how to use them properly. If I can say one thing about this place: it works! I don't have a lot of weight to lose - about 20 pounds. I've lost over 15 so far in about 12 weeks. The first 10 pounds dropped off quickly in the first month or so. And then I've steadily dropped since then. They don't really give you food or diet advice. But I figure I know enough to tackle that on my own. I used the MyFitnessPal app on my phone to track my food intake and keep my calories under 1500 a day. My breakfasts are usually a combo of fruit/instant oatmeal/yogurt. Lunches are a Lean Cuisine. I drink a ton of water. Dinners are slightly challenging as I have less control due to family but I don't go overboard as my appetite has reduced a lot. I've stopped drinking Monday to Thursday. And try to limit the wine on weekends. Doesn't always work! :) I've always been active but I've stepped up my exercise a little mostly because I have more energy as I'm dropping weight. They give you a combo of pills for the week. You get phentermine for appetite, a fat burner, one that makes you feel full at dinner and a few others. In combination, they work. You actually want to stop eating. It's a walk in clinic so it's super easy to get started and keep going. read more

I pretty much NEVER leave Yelp reviews, but this needs to be said. I came here for semaglutide. My first dose worked for about 2 days. I didn't feel hungry and couldn't really eat. It wore off SUPER fast. 2nd dose... nothing. No change. For my 3rd dose I went and talked to the provider and told him that I didn't feel like this was working and that I didn't lose any weight and I wanted to go up a level. He talked me out of it saying it would be too strong and my body isn't used to it yet. The 3rd shot I got seemed to magically work and I couldn't eat, wasn't hungry and lost 7 pounds in 3 days. The whole week was how I feel the medicine SHOULD be. The 4th shot... nothing. My appetite is normal. I think the provider gave me a full strength shot the day I cried about how it wasn't working and the rest of the time, whatever I've been getting has been watered down. I WILL NOT go back here. I called in advanced in regards to their free consultation and asked until what time they would be doing that. I was told over the phone to come anytime and they close at 7pm. I get off work early and drive from Redondo Beach and arrive at 5:33pm. I am told the nurse practitioner just left at 5:30pm. My mom stayed away from sugar, fatty foods etc and she lost 17 pounds. I've only started this journey about 4 weeks ago and I've gotten a few different types of supplements,(90) tablets, with a few LIPO shots. I haven't noticed a difference yet, however I will keep at it for at least a few more months. The 2 main nurses are really nice , informative and are gentle in administering the shots. I was referred here by a friend. The supplements have tons of herbal vitamins. There is always something on special and they have a rewards points system.
