The main pharmacists and others since have invariably been attentive and helped above and beyond the general care and caring. It has grown since the 22 years when I began as a customer. In all that time I have received exceptional attention. Once, recently, a single prescription was not delivered on time and when I called to find out what the happened the response was surprise with immediate remedying of the situation and bountiful apologies. Only once in 22 years and yet here on Yelp I read two negative reviews. Hard to figure out how that could have happened. Then month after month there were struggles to get simple things completed. I have waited over a month for refills with no movement, last week my husband followed up on these scripts and was told they weren't filling them since I already had a refill. I have new insurance and these aren't controlled substances so my husband reiterated to fill it now. Today after my husband received a refill and I spoke to the driver asking where mine was. I called the pharmacy and was transferred twice on my lunch break. I gave up and am finding a new pharmacy for myself and my family because they have proven once too many times by delaying scripts and writing the wrong scripts on pill packs they can't be trusted. Our health is at stake with these people.

I found some sinus relief capsules day and night for a dollar yes I said a dollar. I also found some ibuprofen tablets 24in count at 200 mg for $0.50 these are not name brand items but they are comprable to as stated on their labels. This life it was a great find and I saved a whole lot of money. I truly recommend if you're in the area and obviously if you're sick.

What took Watervliet DOJA six weeks to scramble and figure out, Portage had done in no time. To me, it seems like the manager needs some re-managing. The not-so-good: She recommended a specific over-the-counter dry eye product that she also sells from among a whole line of OTC eye products in her office. They're expensive. I don't care for upselling like this in a medical professional's office. Some dermatologists do this too. That should not be. It presents a conflict of interest. Peddling optional products in a shoestore, beauty salon or car repair shop is no big deal because those provide things that have little to do with health and safety. Eye health (and dermatology) are different. I don't like my medical professionals to get commissions by recommending certain (pricey) products over others...that they just "happen" to sell in their offices. I bought a similar product at Walgreens for a fraction of the cost.
