I went to have a prescription filled, only to be told they didn't have the medication in stock. They claimed it was on backorder and could take months to arrive. This was surprising since it's a common medication, and I've never encountered such an issue before. The woman at the window suggested I call every few days to check on their stock instead of calling daily. Two days later, I called back and learned they had received a new shipment--but by that time, my prescription had expired. When I originally visited, my script was still valid, but they couldn't fill it due to lack of supply. Now that the medication was available, they refused to fill it because the prescription had expired just one day earlier. What made the situation worse was how I was treated. The staff were incredibly unprofessional. The woman at the counter condescendingly told me it was "the law" and even offered to explain it to me, speaking over me in a rude manner. Meanwhile, her coworker in the background made additional disrespectful comments. She had the nerve to blame me for letting the prescription expire, even though the issue stemmed from their lack of inventory. This entire experience was frustrating and unnecessarily unpleasant. I hope others can avoid this kind of treatment by choosing a different pharmacy.

I was not pleased with the customer service I received when asked about my refills that were back…read moreordered twice and never filled or even called to let me know that they were in. The prescriptions were charged in full but never given. When asked about them because I kept running out of medication I was told I had to bring in the refill slip which I did and I let them know I would be back to pick it up with my other prescription later. Came back to pick up prescription and they told me I didn't give them the slip. So guess what no medication! This was the second time. Out $60 plus no medication. You would think they should have that on file. Never going back.

It's nothing fancy but if you need anything by manner of toiletries, medications (they also have a pharmacy), first aid items, etc they've got it. I've definitely bought my share of aloe more than once here after a wicked sunburn from the beach. They also have a small toy selection, a few self-care/beauty things, etc. Pretty much anything you forgot to throw in your suitcase you can get replaced here. I also absolutely love that they still have the old soda fountain counter in the back. We love going and splitting a soda or a float like we're kids in the 1950s. The one thing I do miss is the large selection they used to have of beach toys and whatnot. Every visit we'd buy a kite to fly at the beach, or something goofy to take to oval like a big beach umbrella, chairs, or blow up floaties. It was always the highlight of our trip and I miss it!

My daughter was borderline crying because we were damp from a beach day and it felt like walking into a freezer, which made us expedite our trip. Got some vacation rental K-Cups, frozen pizza, breakfast and snack items and it was a nice, traditional, huge grocery store. The check out lines were understaffed in late July and took forever. My daughter would want me to add, how fun is if that they have a ton of those quarter-operated machines at the entrance/exit? She got gumballs and still talks about it with me. Definitely needed in this town and glad to have stumbled into it.

When I get shots at other places, I always get really nervous about the needles--like how much they hurt. But whenever I go to Walgreen's I can even look at the needles when they put them in my skin. Special shout-outs to Katie and Amy because they are REALLY good at giving shots. I never feel the needles when they do it. (Well, of course, sometimes I feel it.) I recommend you try Walgreen's for all shots! Also, they have a lot of prescriptions--both pills and gummies--making it easy for kids to take them. I've seen the shelves before and I've seen like hundreds of prescriptions. So whenever you need a prescription, just go right to Walgreen's and get it.
