I called today, April 6, 2026 at 2:11 PM to schedule an appointment for my son, and the woman who answered the phone, was very rude throughout the call. When I asked a few questions, she responded with a noticeable attitude and seemed irritated. At the end of the conversation, I expressed that I didn't appreciate how I was treated. Regardless of personal circumstances, it's important to remain professional and respectful, especially when dealing with patients. I'm sharing this feedback because this kind of interaction is not acceptable! I hope this is addressed appropriately, whether through additional training or other action, as to be treated with respect. And of course, I immediately canceled the appointment. After being treated that way over the phone, there is no chance I would feel comfortable visiting the office in person. The owner responded to my review on Google saying I am "not a patient of record." That is correct, because I was calling as a new patient to schedule an appointment for my son. My review is specifically about how I was treated during that initial phone call. Dr. Bella has been my dentist for over 14 years and I followed her from Qblvd to 108th street because she's that good. So patient and friendly and she makes sure her staff are just the same. She mentors the new students and is very thorough with her procedures. she finds ways to comfort you and works well with your available finances. you know in advance how much and what your insurance covers. She's flexible with appointments but please keep them as she keeps hers. together you will have a clean mouth and great smile. I highly recommend her and her staff. Hygienist is great too, been there for a while and works independently. and Dr. Bella's dental assistant is so nice and smart. You can tell they are all being treated right. They all smile. The dentist herself is very professional. This review is for the front desk staff. As a quality analyst who listens in on customer service phone calls it is inappropriate for a staff member to tell a patient on the phone that she is giving attitude when clearly the secretary is having a hard time locating a patient's insurance information. even if there is confusion about an ID number or a subscriber name versus a patient name, when you work in customer service you need to display professionalism and sensitivity at all times. This person was rude and inappropriate and does not know how to explain herself when giving directions.This Dentist should be very careful to not hire such unprofessional staff because it reflects poorly on the dentist when the dentist is not even the problem. I dont know why the other review gave them four stars but complained about everything. This was the worst dentist's office Ive ever been to. First of all, they make you wait hours. I had the first appointment on a sunday. My appointment was for 9am. I showed up at 845, and had to wait a half hour outside. Once I got inside and filled out the paperwork, it was almost another hour before I saw the dentist. I had made my appointment for the hygienist for the same day and was told that she didnt show up so I would have to make a new appointment. Fine, whatever. I went back blah blah. Here's where it gets good. I made my appointment for 6 months later. Two days before they called me to cancel. I rescheduled for the week later but kept my cleaning appointment. My appointment was then canceled another two times before I gave up. I decided to forgo my appointment and wait 6 more months. I made my appointment about two months in advance. it was for the sunday after thanksgiving, last week. ON Thanksgiving (which I thought was kind of disgusting) I get a call that OBVIOUSLY my appointment was canceled again. Then I got a text message later on in the day stating that the hygienist canceled my appointment for my cleaning as well. I was livid at this point. But it gets better. That sunday, I get a phone call at 9am telling me that the hygienist came in from New Jersey and even though they canceled my appointment I should still come in. DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST. read more

The office is so tiny and sort of dumpy. I went to this dentist based on her reviews and after my own personal experience there, I'm left wondering if her reviews are really authentic. At first, she overlooked the fact that I had two cavities because she spent a total of 2-3 minutes with me because she seemed in a hurry to make a fast dash out the door, and the office wasn't busy. She seemed distracted, aloof, and dismissive. On a side note, the hygienist was very nice and kept telling me to "bites down" every time she took an x-ray. I don't usually write reviews. As a student I have little time to even visit a dentist with classes, extra curriculum activities, work, gym, studies n friends. I have been having sensitivity in my teeth for sometime now and dreaded the thought of visiting a dentist for more then one reason (time, money, locations). I was also very concerned that if it were something bad that I would need time recovering and I really don't have the time or wanted to face opening that can of worms. So I just dealt with it. It got to be too much of an inconvenience trying to eat so my cousin mentioned this doctor her mom had seen who was very understanding and gentle. Since the dental office was close to my school a convenient walk to I decided to take a chance and stop in for a consultant. I am so happy I did!! I got more then I expected. I was greeted by a very friendly staff who made me feel very welcomed. I was told the doctor could see me for a quick consultant. I waited for about 12 minutes as the doctor was finishing a patient. Dr. Normatova was super attentive, she immediately made me feel at ease while discussing my concerns as she reassured me of the next step process. Well to make a long story short my lunch hour went by and for a reasonable cheaper price than expected my dental procedure was taken care of!! I had a cavity filled, no more sensitivity I can finally eat, no recovery time needed.. Dr. Normativa eased my anxiety and was able to take care of me right away. PROS- Very nice staff and the hygienist was really considerate and careful with her work, also gave me good feedback on how to better care for my teeth. Dr. Norman was very nice and informative as well, and also provided me with some helpful information. CONS- I would have given this office 5 stars tidbit were not for the long wait. Worst dentist I have ever been to in my life! Last year I walked into an old looking place with about 4 chairs and it wasn't dirty but definitely dusty and dark. Looked like a basement you'd use for storage. I realize later on upkeep is the least of their worries as All they care about is $$$. I thought nothing of it I'm in pain and I'll have to suck it up until I find a new one. And hey she might be an awesome dentist. I researched a dentist close by my job for the convenience. I went there for a root canal and ended up needing. The first visit she told me I actually needed 2. She also said she would take care of it. Once she was done x rays she finished one side and started the procedure on the other side. I get up thinking I'm done but oh no she had a plan of her own for me. She told me She finished one and started on the other and next week She would finish it. Why she didn't do all at once is beyond me but I was done for the day. As I am scheduling my appointment for the next visit, the receptionist told me I had to pay them $150. I was furious but remained calm and simply told them my insurance covers it and I do not have a co pay. She said "well can you at least pay half?" I mean really? She says it's not a co pay but could not thoroughly explain to me what the fee was for. When they realized I'm not as as they thought, they came up with a quick bullshit excuse. She said that the insurance only covers 75% because this is considered a major procedure!! A root canal?! Major??? I was getting annoyed So the dentist comes and says oh no I think it's basic isn't it? So the receptionist tells me we will figure it out by your next visit. I said ok and left. They never mentioned it again. That was full blown bullshit. My 2nd visit. I changed the time of appointment and they tried to call back and reschedule but it was too late for that I was on my way. How incompetent is this place? No limits! I was there for about 15 minutes. She played in my mouth for a second and told me she finished the second one. She told me she had not put permanent fill ins in either tooth! so if it starts to come out just come back. What?! I left next day Oh my was I in pain! The first Tooth felt 100 times more sensitive to cold than before!! I waited the week and called to schedule something sooner because I couldn't take it any longer She "the dentist" asked me a few questions telling me that I shouldn't be in pain. Well duh! 3rd appointment she tells me the reason I am in pain is because I need 2 root canals in the first tooth. So you didn't realize that when you were in there last time?! She said she would finish the second one then fill in the first one better so I wouldn't be in pain until the insurance approves it. I told her please put a permanent fill in the tooth that is done. She said "ok" By this time I'm thinking this is horse shit. I didnt say anything She didn't numb the tooth enough and I kept feeling it so I was already upset. It would be best if I kept shut. I asked her when she was done if she had put the permanent fill in and she said no. I said what why? She just stared at me She said let's set your next appointment I turned around and left out furious never to return. I went to another dentist and my insurance wouldn't approve anything. When I got my insurance review of what had been paid for there was a crown on it and I never had that done. We spoke about it because I'm missing a tooth but I never followed through. I would not trust this women. Let me say I had plenty of time to write this review but did not as I don't like to tarnish anyone's name however I am now having pain and if I had gone to a good dentist, I wouldn't be having such problem. WORST PLACE. Last year I went and made an appointment for a cleaning and an exam. After waiting 40 minutes for the cleaning they then told me I would have to wait about another half an hour to see the dentist. I gave up and told them that I would have to find another day to ruin to come and see her. Today, I had an appointment yet again with the hygienist and the dentist. When I walked into the waiting room I saw 2 people waiting. My appointment was at 1130 (the place only opens at 10 so that in itself was a bad sign). To make a long story short they expected me to wait an hour for the hygienist (if i was lucky) This week they send me 3 text messages and a called me confirming my appointment. They also have a sign at their front desk saying that the dentists time is "EXTREMELY VALUABLE" and that were is a cancellation fee. In addition, the sign also states that they will reschedule your appointment if you are 15 minutes late. UNBELIEVABLE ! It is good to know that our time, especially on a weekend is not valuable or important. They said they were "backed up". I am sorry but this is NOT the first time. If you don't value your time or like to spend the entire day in a dentists office I recommend this place. read more

I came to see Dr. Bella for a severe toothache, and had such a great experience! I know what you're thinking .. how could i have a great experience at the dentist right? Dr.Bella's staff was so kind and helpful when I walked in. Registration was a breeze. I was called in minutes later, took x-rays and Dr.Bella was there to comfort me and consult regarding treatment. When they say this is Soft Touch Dental Care, they mean it! I didn't even feel her give me the anesthesia. Dr. Norman is a wonderful doctor who did a perfect job in fixing my gaps with a bonding procedure. I was pleased with my first visit. The office is small but seems to have high quality equipment. I appreciated the fact the dentist clearly explained things to me that my previous dentist never mentioned. Good start. My visit was quick, efficient and informative as always. All my concerns were addressed, and I felt comfortable with my treatment and exam. The doctor had great attention to detail and was very helpful, offering and explaining options to take care of any issues that I had. The office is efficiently run and superbly equipped. I've had a variety of work done, in addition to routine check-ups, and have never had a single problem of complaint. The girls at the front desk are extremely pleasant as well. read more

Never had to write a review before because for me it was never that serious, but this time, the experience with this place was truly saddening. I personally did not go here as a patient, but I send my friend here because of the reviews I saw and thought they may be able to help. BUT nope. Its ridiculous that the things we had to go through to get the bare minimum done. No sign of compassion or patient care was shown, but instead all they care about is money. The front desk need to be given some training in showing less attitude and using a kinder tone to address their patients and their concerns. Don't say that we will get in contact with you in 10 minutes and then never call or leave a message. The dentist I thought was actually caring and maybe she does know what she is doing, but please the experience of running back and forth to this place to get one thing done is disgusting. Since I have braces she didn't even spend time to clean between my braces just where I didn't have braces. Hi all, I have never had such bad experience in my life like the one that I had with Bella Norman.I can not even call her a Doctor.She does not care about patients.All she cares is the money.She schedules appointments with all her patients on same day at the same time so she wont lose any $$$$.I waited for her twice for about 2 ,1/2 hours.Last time I got pissed off at Norman and at her receptionist as well.The second called me 3 times to make sure that I ll be at their office on time.I work in Manhattan in Hospital.It takes 1 hr for me to get from the city to Forest Hills so I was in Norman's office at 5 :40pm.I waited another 2 hrs for Norman and it was end of it.I left the office and will never ever return there again.Besides that, at my first appointment Norman charged me 500$ to pull out the wisdom tooth.I paid 200$ with my credit card and another 300$ was deducted from my insurance.Is it really that expensive to pull out the wisdom tooth??? I paid because I WAS IN PAIN.She used the moment. As I mentioned before I work in hospital.I have never seen anything disorganized like Norman's office.Does she care more about her patients or money?
