Overall a good pedicure completed. I called for an appointment and the man on the other end asked me when. I told him in about 20 mins and his response was ok and he hung up on me. I showed up and they told me to sit down and he started on my feet right away. BUT, he didn't ask me if I was the one who called or speak really at all. Hidden spot behind US Bank in Factoria. I've come here a couple of times now because of it's close proximity to my place. Tons of regulars here and reasonably priced. I just get the regular pedicure, I don't opt for manicures since I use my hands a lot. And it's a typical pedicure, cut down cuticles and nails if you like with a foot scrub. Massages are heavenly and they end with a warm towel. They're always quick to offer water, coffee, tea. The place clean, although they could use a new sofa, it's pretty worn. On my most recent visit, a patron was celebrating her birthday with her granddaughter, the owner had everyone sing the "Happy Birthday" song. It was really sweet! I'm pretty sure this will be my regular nail salon. read more

While not the prettiest place, the folks more than make up for it. Jimmy and Tony are great hosts - welcoming, friendly and just the right amount of chatty. All staff members have smiles on their faces and are very accomodating. Change your mind, no problem. Need something more, no problem. Not sure of something, no problem. This was exactly the type of neighborhood experience I wanted. 5 of us dropped in with short notice and they took care of all of us. My 87 year old father had his first pedicure and ended up loving the experience. He told us that he's in for future treatment. Great experience. read more

I'll start with the positives! Everyone was so nice, the space was really clean, and my nails STARTED looking amazing. Unfortunately, not even 72 hours into my shellac manicure, they're falling apart. It looks like the polish might've been too close to the cuticle and is now starting to lift on almost every nail. I feel like it might've just been a rush job in anticipation of the busy day they were about to have as it was the Friday before seafair. Super sad! read more

First time here. Chose salon due to great reviews, Horribly disappointed! Within hours of my manicure, it was already chipping and peeling. These photos are day 3 and it's as if I haven't had a manicure for months! On top of everything else, the technicians and manager were walking around without masks. Even more, the manager would sit on the couch and cough without covering his mouth. Lastly, tools were removed from the drawers of the table. Not even sure they were sanitized. Never again! read more

Was looking for a new nail salon and saw the great reviews of this place. Passed by Friday around 3:30pm and I was able to get in right away. They have plenty of nail polish to pick from with brands such as OPI and China Glaze. I originally went in for a pedicure but was told I could manicure and pedicure done at the same time, so why not!! Haha The ladies that worked on me were very nice and efficient. The sandals that they provided for me were actual legit sandals versus the flimsy paper/foamy ones you get elsewhere. While paying, the gentleman offered to get my wallet and keys put of my purse to avoid ruining my nails. read more

I went in to get a fill and a pedi, which didn't end up happening because the nail tech tried to remove old acrylic with a nail tip and split my skin from my nail. Offered to soak the rest off with acetone, which didn't make sense cause my finger was bleeding. And I had to refuse it twice. Then after trying to use a drill and the heat being too much, I didn't want anything else done so I paid $40 and left. After two days and my finger hadn't felt any better I went back for a refund and was call a liar, broke, and accused of "needing the $40 more" I am a disabled veteran. I don't need to lie to anyone over $40. Literally go anywhere else. read more

Jimmy and Tony have built a welcoming, inclusive, fun and relaxing environment just blocks from #TMobile HQ in #Bellevue! I didn't know what to expect with the slightly cheesy-but-cute business name and hidden strip-mall location. I learned a lesson about keeping an open mind!! I was BLOWN AWAY! For $65 I was pampered, massaged, treated like royalty in their brand new place. I got shellac nail art and the best Mani/pedi massage ever by Tony and Cathy, in higher-end nice massage chairs. I have been getting dip for four year and I wouldn't go back to this salon. I have been trying to find a new salon so I tried this place last week and honestly there was nothing I liked. Two people helped me. The person that started was literally burning my nail taking of my dip it was so uncomfortable. Then this lady came to help and so was SOO RUDE. She kept telling me to relax when I wasn't moving my hard but she was jerking me. I have been doing this for four years and never had an issue. She would jerk and slap my hand and she probably shaped my nail 100 times. I asked for black and it doesn't look fully black and is so thin I can see through it. Also it's been a few days and one on my nails already BROKE. I can usually go two weeks without breaking one. read more

I used to LOVE this place... I hate giving a bad review, I came in 5month ago but I'm still annoyed with my experience...so here is what happened.. I was little bit upset when a woman who I've never seen started doing my nail. .. I asked her "Are you doing my nail today?" and she replied said "Yes." I showed her a picture which I wanted her to be done. She said "No problem." She straight put new nail tips BEFORE she even cleans or shapes my nail. I mentioned her that she needs to clean my cuticles first. She uses her own nail to try to take my clear old gel mani off, and didn't really do a good job either, everything was uneven and unclean. She didn't really take her time doing my cuticles; just yanked out pieces of skin here and there...I was VERY UPSET, because Jimmy or Tony usually does my nail. Jimmy decided not to do my nail that day. This woman clearly doesn't know what she is doing. I stood up and came up to Jimmy and asked him if he can do my nail. I moved to Jimmy's station and this woman came up and tried to argue with me what she did wrong. (WOW!) After Jimmy calmed her down, he took every nail tips off from my fingers, but he seemed upset. He was VERY EMOTIONAL that day and he asked me if he can go outside to smoke. After he came back from cigarette break, he asked me if he can go eat something, so he can focus on my nail. (SERIOUSLY??) He quickly went to the back and was eating his snack. The woman and Jimmy were talking in Vietnamese looking at me from the tea stationin the back. I felt very uncomfortable. I looked at Tony and he gave me "I'm sorry" face from the pedicure section. Jimmy, however, didn't know how to paint/shape my nails and decided to paint all light brown color instead. It ended up totally wrong design... And he charged me a full price. I won't be back to this place EVER again. read more

Be very careful with inexperienced nail technicians. Placing nail tips on the nail is very important. If there is a gap between the nail and tip and it is not sealed properly, water/food gets in there and that leads to nail fungus. I showed the girl the gap and she said let me finish. The only way to correct this was to take the tip off and reapply which she was not willing to do. Needless to say she was rude and I left disappointed and will not return. read more

The location was under construction, presumably because they had recently been purchased, but that's a temporary issue and part of upgrading the business. I've been to the Herbal Nail Spa in Renton and they do a fantastic job, but this location is awful. I got a pedicure (which was great!), but a different technician did my Gel-X and she should not have been doing that. She lacked the skills, and worse, when I said something about the tips being applied crooked, she shrugged and told me that "my nails were crooked" and that's just how it was. I had asked for a basic straight stripe design, and the design was applied poorly. Again, when I said something, she told me it was because my nails were too short. The nails did stay on without chipping or lifting for two weeks. I think they would have stayed longer, but I couldn't look at them any longer (I actually used polish at home to paint over the bad design!). I went and had them removed at the Renton location. It's now been 10 weeks, and the damage done to my nails when they were applied is almost grown out. I've had Gel-X applied before with some minimal damage, but the aggressive filing before these were applied was over the top. I wasn't going to leave a review because some businesses go through a hard transition, but I emailed the Herbal Nail Spa through their website, with photos, to let them know how poorly the technician had done, and I didn't hear anything back, so alas, public review it is.

I was so shocked when this happened because I never thought it would be this dirty in a salon in Bellevue area. I thought I picked a good, reputable salon for hair color. She showed many unprofessional behaviors. The hair color result was not what I expected and I have been getting hair color at different salons for 20 years. (I changed hair stylist whenever I moved to near area in WA state. I often try to find a new hair stylist close to home or my work place.) I am not new to this process (hair coloring) at all. Normally I go to Aveda salon in other area and they were able to dye my hair from original black hair with grey hairs to lighter color in one visit without highlights. I told Mindy that I wanted the root to match the color that I had before. She said that she could do that but the color came out very dark, almost black. I could dye the hair myself dark color easily at home. The price for this was 200 dollars. -- Mindy argued that she had to dye my hair dark color to cover grey hair. My regular hair dresser at Aveda was able to turn my hair into beautiful lighter color and cover grey hair beautifully. -- I will have to go to my regular Aveda salon soon to get highlights to correct the color. -- Mindy was very talkative. She got frustrated at me because she said I moved my head a lot so I was trying to relax and not talk a lot to avoid moving my head. I didn't want to upset her. She showed that she was frustrated. However, Mindy kept asking questions unrelated to hair such as "Do you have a boyfriend?" and etc while she was washing my hair. She accidentally spit on my face a few times. She expected me to keep answering her questions even during the time she was washing my hair after she was frustrated that I moved my head, the experience was so uncomfortable for me. When I relaxed and didn't respond to answer her questions quickly, she said loudly so other customers and staff can heat that I must be frustrated with her. It was the weirdest experience I ever had at a hair salon. In 20 years that I have been getting hair color at salon, this is the first time, a hair stylist doesn't let me relax. I overheard she asked a male customer next to me about his romantic relationship and she told him to propose even when he said he wasn't ready. I don't know-- I just felt so uncomfortable with all these unprofessional behaviors. -- Her dog was very cute in the salon but that was about it. I will NEVER go back. Mindy kept blaming me for weird things. For example, after the coloring process was done, I asked her for a solution to help remove the color on my skin, it was not a big deal for me. I saw she used that solution to help remove color on my face but missed some spots. I know the color will come off when I take a shower. But Mindy started blaming me and told me that hair color on my skin was one of the marks I had on my face before hair coloring process. I don't have any abnormal mark on my face prior to this. Mindy also blamed that the towel she put on my back and neck fell off because I moved. (The towel was very dirty from the beginning. I am not even sure if it had been used with others before me.) I had to use a restroom to urinate since she left the hair color on me longer that it was supposed to be because she accepted other male customers who walked in for hair cut and perm. -- Mindy then deflected and started blaming me for scheduling an appointment with her, she said that she was kind enough to let me schedule an appointment on the same day. Then she had to take other walk-in customers and kept the color chemical compound on my hair longer than it was supposed to be?! It doesn't make sense at all. She was blaming me for supporting her small business. This is why this will be the one and only time I will do business with this salon. When I called her, it seemed like she didn't have any customer so she asked me to come in right away on Tues around noon. Then when other customers showed up, she was trying to get as many customers as possible and left the hair color on me longer than normal. Then she deflected and said she had been doing this for a long time. She knew hair. She said if I experienced hair loss, she would pay 500 dollars. SAD-- I don't want 500 dollars. I just wanted to have my hair color in a normal peaceful way. If you care about cleanliness and want a professional setting in hair salon, this might not be a place that you enjoy. I have been going to salons since I was in my early 20's because I have grey hair since I was young. Now I am almost 40. I never had issue with moving and causing a towel to fall from my neck. It was so weird that the hair stylist blamed customer for a dirty towel.
