(But side note, to be fair, my husband did at least attempt and cut down half of the overgrown yard but our weed whacker died on us-- believe me when I say, our yard was in bad shape). So, Ray was one of the first people to reach back out to me when I set up a project through Yelp. We had finally set a time for him to come over for a quote but then my husband said he would do it, so I had to back out on Ray. Through it all, Ray was so kind and understanding. Perhaps looking outside at the half gnarly yard and our broken weed whacker after a week along with a list of other things my husband was tasked with, he finally told me, "Let's do it after all." So, I contacted Ray, he came by for a quote which was pretty reasonable and even offered to do a monthly maintenance for a reasonable price. Today our yard is actually looking like a nice yard! It's so clear that it's honestly weird to look at, but we already got compliments from the neighbor (they probably were getting tired of seeing our yard looking a mess this entire time). I had an altercation in traffic with one of their employees. I was super distraught and shaken up…read moreafter the incident. I reached out to the company, initially, and by 2pm the same day, they were able to get a hold of me. I felt very accommodated and taken care of sincerely, even though I am not an actual client. They listened to my concerns and got me in touch with the person in the incident, as well as relaying the situation to the supervisor. The employee in the incident, with me, was very apologetic and accountable. In a society where accountability and responsibility seems rare, they took care of me and made sure I was left satisfied, cared for, and I felt reassurance, safe, and most importantly I felt valued. I am grateful for their employee who came forward and was genuinely and sincerely apologetic and I am incredibly appreciative of the secretary and supervisor for their assistance in mediating the situation. I wanted to note that I was not a paying or even potential client. I'm just a normal person who had an incident with one of their employees, and they did more than their part to make sure I was taken care of and leave me feeling worthy and value. If this is how they treat people, then I can imagine that they treat clients with the absolute and utmost respect and care. If I ever need landscaping services, or if I have people in my circles and connections who need it, i will be referring Murakami Landscaping because of how incredibly professional, accountable, and respectful they were. Patrick's communication and follow-through were very poor from start to finish…read more We had an appointment for an in-person estimate scheduled for April 23rd at 10:00 AM. This appointment was scheduled weeks in advance. At 9:30 AM, I messaged Patrick to confirm that we were still meeting up. At 9:45 AM, he replied and stated that he was in Manoa (I live in Mililani). He went on to say that "he would try to stop by later that afternoon." At 5:00 PM, I had not heard from him, so I messaged him to ask if he was still planning to stop by. He told me that his truck had broken down. My response was "No problem," and I informed him that I was going to move on and find another contractor. He apologized and said that he would be in the Mililani area on the 25th (Saturday), so I gave him another chance. He came out, assessed the drainage issue, and later texted me his assessment. I responded with a few follow-up questions and asked him to send over the estimate, but I received no reply. On Monday the 27th, I messaged Patrick (again), repeated my questions, and asked if he could send over the estimate (again). He asked for my email address, which I sent right away, but I did not receive anything. The following morning, I followed up (last time) asking for the estimate, and once again, I did not receive a response. After I posted my review, Patrick emailed me and claimed that he had sent the estimate via email. I checked my inbox repeatedly and never received it. The only email I ever received from him came only after I left the review. He offered me a discount if I took my Yelp review down. That made me even less comfortable with the overall experience. I would have much preferred clear communication, timely follow-through, and the estimate I had been asking for. Overall, the issue was not just one missed appointment or one missed message. It was repeated poor communication, lack of professionalism, and no follow-through. This is not a company I would recommend.

He was able to brainstorm with us to help us imagine a completely new yard. He gave us ideas that we would either agree or disagree with. Once we had a general idea, Jeff was able to create a digital rendering of both our front and backyard so we were actually able to see his vision and know what we could expect the finished product to look like. For the early stages of the project Angel was the primary foreman of the job. Angel was very friendly and respectful. He would give us updates on what they would be doing for the next couple of days, or if they wouldn't be coming due to weather conditions. As a client this was great because we never had to wonder whether the contractors were coming or not. Our Project consisted of removing existing cement pavers and vegetation. And installation of new turf, irrigation system, and vinyl fence. JBL took care of hauling away all the old materials and bringing all the new materials/plants for our project. Jeff was more than fair to us and he worked with us to make sure we were satisfied with how it turned out. Our home looks completely transformed now, and our dogs finally have a yard that they can play in. If you need trustworthy, reliable, and friendly landscapers I highly recommend giving Jeff a call.
