Not thrilled with the food today at all. Chicken kabobs were the worst I ever ate - dry/chewy and tasteless. It was not edible at all. Threw away all the food and unfortunately since it was a to go order there is nothing I can do. I mean how difficult it is to cook normal chicken kabobs. read more

Ordered from here through DoorDash and there was an item missing/ the order was incorrect. Idk if I can't attest for third party food delivery services- heard of multiple times where people's food was eaten/ tampered with. The side of assorted pickled which were 3.5 extra were missing. The gyro had taziki all over it and my choice of saucE was their hot sauce. Which I guess I am glad because the hot sauce included on the side reminded me of a Mexican salsa and nothing like what would go with Greek food. The Jerusalem salad was just watered down tomato/ cucumber soup. Pretty grossed out by this meal. read more

The. Best. Mediterranean. Food. Around!!! My husband and I stop in almost every weekend for hummus, gyros, souvlaki (kabobs), and/or salad, and he always ends with a walnut baklava. Med Grill has several locations around town, and their food is always so fresh and delicious, not to mention so authentic! Their gyros are the best, and I love that their tzatziki does not have dill in it. They have a homemade hot sauce that I use on the oh-so-delicious hummus that takes it over the top. My husband always gets their Greek potatoes to go with his meals (either gyro or kabobs), and they are so well seasoned and delicious -- little tasty bites. I love the Greek salad with the most beautiful tomatoes, no matter the time of year, and other delicious toppings. This location doesn't look like much from the street, tucked in the middle of this strip center, but do yourself a favor and visit!! We have also had the lamb shank and the calamari -- both delicious, and very large portions!!!! read more

The food is good but after today I don't think we will be back! We ordered call-in for lunch and my bf went to pickup. Then they called me and said he took the food and left without paying. I called him and he said he paid cash and was turning around to head back to speak with them. Then another man, presumably the manager or owner, called me and was extremely rude to me accusing us of lying that he paid and stealing! When my bf got there the man who took his cash just so happened to "find" the cash laying on the counter. Seems like he's running a scam and his boss doesn't know, I assume he pretended to find the cash bc I asked if they had cameras. If you eat here, pay card! We didn't even get an apology. read more

I have been going here for years, and I would say a rating of 3 stars is just right. There is nothing wrong with this restaurant, but honestly, there is nothing GREAT about it either. Well one thing it is great for is a quick and reasonably priced dinner. I have tried just about everything on the menu and my favorite items are the falafel and the dolmas. I've had better ones and I've had worse ones and I could say that about everything served here, hence the 3 stars. Mediterranean Grill offers simple, straightforward mediterranean food in a hole in the wall environment. No, the place is not pretty and I wouldn't go here on a first date, but for a quick, filling dinner before heading to the movies or for a satisfying lunch at a budget, I would choose this place. My husband and I decided to first start with the vegeterian plate that comes with tabouleh, hummus, baba gabnoush and salad. Also comes with a side of pita. My only gripe with this plate is that I wish we would've gotten more pita. Also, maybe we shouldmve gotten more tabouleh. But all the elements were tasty and well seasoned. My husband's new favorite dish is baba ganoush thanks to these guys. We decided we were still hungry so I got an order of the Greek potatoes and he got a large side order of babaganoush. Again, the potatoes were roasted to perfectionand nicely seasoned and the dish was plentiful. Overall, with one drink, we paid a total of 25 dollars and we were more than full and content when we left. As far asthe sevice. Well, this is about the same as at a fast food place so don't expect much and yes, they will yell for you to pick up your food at the counter. This is NOT the place to go if you want to get pampered by the servers or people behind gh counter. Having said that, the guys went out of their way to ask us if we had liked the food and to come back. The set up is lacking a bit and while the place is clean, it could definitely use an update. They offered me a Blu-ray disc and a jar of hummus." -- You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008) A long time fan of Med Grill, but a newer patron of the East Cobb location. I must say, they cater to the lunchtime crowd. I can walk in, place my order and get my food and be on my way in under 10 minutes. That's service! I'm a fan of kebabs and gyro - and Med Grill has it all. If you aren't sure what you want, go for the Business Lunch Combo. With that you get a little of everything: Kefta, Gyro, Shish Kebab, rice, pita and a greek salad, plus a couple of sauces - all for under $8. It's a great deal and will have you full in no time. My favorite is the shish kebab - beef kebabs, perfectly seasoned and cooked and served over rice with a greek salad on the side. So succulent and delicious. However, if they are really slammed and not paying attention, the meat might get over cooked (I like mine medium to medium-rare). So the earlier you get there, the better. Their kefta is also delicious with the warm spices. I do enjoy their gyro - but I don't like gyro to be my entire meal. Their rice could use a bit more flavor, however rice is just a filler for me and I try not to eat as much as they give me. They give you so much food! was in a time crunch for a quick lunch and found this place on accident. they were promoting a special called the "business lunch", which runs from 11am to 3pm. the "business lunch" is about $7.60 before tax. this lunch combo consists of: shish kabob (beef), kufta (ground beef - almost sausage-like), and gyros (combination of assorted meats) slices on top of rice pilaf, and served with pita and a regular garden salad. the combo also comes with fountain drink. one thing I must point out is, I noticed they had the exact same thing in their menu with a diff. name. the ""combination feast" in their menu offers all the same things as the "business lunch". the only difference is the lunch deal is $7.60, versus the rest of the day price of $10.50. as for portion difference -- I am not sure of that, but I would still rather advise you to go with the cheaper option. aside from the background info of the combo lunch, I was highly disappointed. I was excited to try them after having such wonderful food at another mediterranean joint and due to a glance at their reviews. but with mediterranean grill, there was so much left to be desired. I would have felt a lot better if we had just stuck with one business lunch, instead of ordering 2. heck~ I should have been paid to eat them. the meats were dry, bland, and gave off such a bad aftertaste. the rice pilaf was flavorless and dry. the salad was not even greek. it was just a garden mix with perhaps a little lime juice. altogether, I felt like I was a cat eating either leftovers of shitty scraps that even cockroaches wouldn't eat OR I was eating really low quality pet food. both me & the bf couldn't even finish our food. what a waste of $$$ - even if it was a $15 meal for 2. read more

Love this place!! I first experienced Mediterranean Grill at their midtown location about eight years ago. Fast forward several years and I'm so glad they opened one in the suburbs. Space is small and has the hole in the wall vibe. You go enough time and you will get to know the workers. Such a family friendly eatery! Menu is extensive and have not been disappointed by the choices I made in the past. Definitely my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Atlanta! I always ordered the business special during the week days which you can't beat the price with drink included for about $9. It includes salad, rice, gyro, kufta kabob, and two small pieces of steak. The portion is huge! I usually share this with my two kids. Best of all, my vegetarian kids will devour the gyros. The yogurt sauce is always a favorite and my personal favorite is their hot sauce. I couldn't be more satisfied coming out the place full and happy. read more

I've had better gyros but these are close by and fast. The sides (hummus, the various salads, baba ghanouj, etc.) seem to be a notch above. The gyro platter and a large side of hummus might be the best deal as you get a ton of seasoned rice along with that, easily feeds two. The various veggie options, and there are more than one, also seem vary popular. Take out is my preferred way to go, but there is nothing wrong with ducking in for a quick bite. I would consider Mediterranean Grill fast food Mediterranean food. They have all sorts of pita wraps, entrees, soups, salads, and appetizers. The prices seem decent and they have all the internet deals going on currently. You can find them on Scoutmob, and they even use LevelUp. I tried their hummus and shish kabob wrap. The first thing I noticed was their pita bread. It was pretty pita-ful. It was tough, rubbery, and chewy. I'm too used to Jerusalem Bakery's freshly baked pita bread. Mediterranean Grill's pitas seemed straight out of a bag. Their shish kabob wrap was on the bland side. It could've used more seasoning. Their hummus tasted okay. But like I mentioned, I wished their pita bread tasted better for me to enjoy my hummus. Everything is self service. When you finish, you have to gather up your silverware and plates and put them up yourself. I found that annoying. They should just give us disposable utensils and plates so we don't have to do bus boy work. They seem popular during lunch. They have a small space at this location and during lunch, it gets filled up quick. So trying to separate the plates and utensils just slows us down. Overall, it's okay tasting food at cheap prices. I've been going to Mediterranean Grill since I lived in Decatur 15 years ago. This location is just as consistent, super-friendly, and always accommodating. No pushback ever for an extra hot sauce or tzatziki. The gyro meat, their hummus, potatoes, and even the Greek salad are so, so good. Food is always cooked to order and ready quickly. The kids chicken fingers & greek potatoes are a great portion and delicious as well. One of the only few East Cobb options that's always tasty AND affordable! read more

I wasn't very happy with the grilled veggie wrap I got from here the other night. It was around 9pm and it was close to them closing, so not sure if I can contribute my sandwhich to that but it just wasn't good. The marinated vegetables were lifeless and overcooked. They smelled good, but my first bite of the wrap was all blah. So I opened the wrap up and pulled out 75% of the vegetables and tried to take a few more bites but I couldn't finish it. The pita was falling apart and was dry tasting despite the soggy vegetables that invaded it. Anyway I would like to give them another chance, but I doubt it. I wasnt really impressed with the menu options and service was weird because when I was there an older gentleman was arguing about something at the side counter with the cook...and that didnt make your only customer feel unconfortable or anything... Two times in three days? Yes please! I found this little joint through YELP and boy was I glad I did. This place is the real deal and the food is fantastic. I had the combo plate which comes with a heaping amount of food....grilled beef kabobs, beef kufta, and the oh so yummy gyro meat. All entrees come with rice, Greek salad and some pita bread with your choice of either the hot sauce, tahini, or taziki sauce. Hands down the best Mediterranean found I have ever had. The meat was perfectly seasoned and grilled. Even the hubby agreed and he has NEVER liked this type of food. Finally he's been converted and all thanks to Mediterranean Grill! The restaurant is a little small with not a lot of seating and they do get very busy. We spent $26 for a family of 4. Compared to the $120 + tip spent on the Valentine's dinner at Dolce in Atlantic Station, this place was money well spent. I will definitely be back! read more

In general, I really enjoy the food here, and I've never had a problem with the food the other 3 or 4 times I've been here. My review reflects an average of all the times I've been here, despite the recent issue I had. A co-worker and I got takeout last week. We love us some gyros, and we've always had great food and great service. When I unwrapped my gyro the last time and took a couple of bites, I noticed that the chicken was distinctly pink. Not totally raw, but a little intimidating. Especially being a preggo, I can't take chances with undercooked food, so I brought it back. I will say this: the service has always been fantastic, and this was no exception. I was offered a free piece of baklava (uh, YUM) and a free pop for my trouble, and they were nothing short of completely nice. My issue was what one of the cooks told me, upon the return and inspection of my food: "you should probably order your chicken well-done next time; this isn't undercooked." HOLD THE DAMN PHONE. If I'm totally off-base on this assumption, I am begging someone to correct me so I can stop being ignorant... but isn't chicken ALWAYS supposed to be well-done? There's a temperature, and a color, to which all chicken is supposed to be cooked, no? My entire life, I've been told by just about everyone that chicken is never supposed to be eaten if there's any trace of pink in it. I left feeling a little uneasy about eating there again, despite the always-great service and generally good quality of the food. Someone is cooking my food who thinks that pink chicken is something that's okay, and that's NOT okay with me. :/ Every other experience I've had here has been stellar, so if someone will prove me wrong on the chicken-color-issue, I will happily continue to eat here and simply ask for my chicken well-done. read more

Sounds like this is a popular spot. I am surprised the rating is not higher! We frequented the Midtown location when we lived down there, but this was our first time trying out the Marietta location. Fiance bought a Groupon deal -- $10 for $20 worth of food or something. So after a tough workout, we ventured out to Marietta to give the ol' Mediterranean Grill a try. We went last night (a Tuesday) and the restaurant was fairly empty. I got a gyro platter and fiance opted for the gyro sandwich combo (comes with a drink and potatoes or rice -- he went with potatoes). In my opinion, the gyro platter is well worth it. It is $9 and you can make it last several meals -- we were both eating it last night, I had it for lunch today and I have enough for lunch tomorrow. It comes with gyro meat, salad, rice pilaf (but I subbed for potatoes) plus a couple halves of pita bread. Seriously. The guys working there were extra sweet. They accepted our Groupon without a single roll of the eye and gave us lots of extra tzatziki sauce when we asked for it. They also gave us a small container of this really awesome hot sauce -- I don't know what it is exactly, but it reminded me strongly of sambal (chili garlic sauce popular in Asia). We were chatting with them a bit during our meal and they were just super nice and accommodating. Food came out super fast too. I am very surprised by all the glowing reviews for this place. I understand that it is fairly inexpensive for students on a budget, but there are other greek places around town that are about the same price and much better. The gyro meat is sliced too thick and is borderline dry, the pita is tough and the dolmas are pretty puny. I think the service is trying hard, which I appreciate, but after being in business that long, they should probably have it down-pat by now. Found a deal and was craving mediterranean food and was pleasantly surprised with the food here. The prices are also very fair prices, and the food portions are plentiful. I tried the combination feast and chicken kabob plate and was happy with both entrees. I was asked if I wanted some bread, and I said yes. And I was given a lot more than I was expecting, which was another pleasant surprise. The hummus was also very good, along with the side salad. When ITP goes OTP, can it ever be as good? This location of Mediterranean Grill certainly begs this question. And I'm here to report that the answer is a resounding YES. The business lunch combo (available M-F) includes a little bit of everything Shish Kabob, Gyro, seasoned rice, a yummy little green salad, a bunch of warmed pita, and fountain drink (with unlimited refills, yesssss). Even though it's under $7, it was more than enough food. However, even with the generous portions, the baklava with walnuts sitting in the display case was too tempting to resist. But hey, giving into temptation is a good thing, right? The seating inside is limited, and it was freezing cold inside the day we went. My advice is to grab one of the little wrought iron tables outside, they'll bring your food out to you. Then, you can just sit back and enjoy the view...of the strip mall and crawling East Cobb traffic. Ahhh, suburbia. read more

I am a fan of this place, but only for lunch. We usually go and get the "business lunch" which is around $8.00 and you get a lot of food for your money. Since I had their lunch special it came with rice with paprika on top, pita bread, salad with a balsamic dressing, Greek yogurt, and 3 types of pork. It was all delicious, everything had flavor and tasted great. For dessert I had the rice pudding and if you've never had rice pudding before it's definitely something you have to try once in your life. It was not your average American rice pudding, it was authentic, not a ton of sugar, and the cinnamon on top tasted great with the flavor. The service is great too, the guys are really, really nice. The speed at which our dishes came out was great too. We had our food before we even sat down at the table. The atmosphere is normal for a small hole in the wall place like this, but the biggest factor was the cleanliness, and it was clean. If you're looking for a great little lunch place I would definitely recommend it, but don't go in expecting to get the American version of Greek food, which are usually loaded with salt or sugar, this is closer to authentic Greek taste. Right when you walk in through the door, you are greeted by a small seating environment as well as a large greeting from the staff. Upon arriving, my friend and I promptly felt such a warm welcome that had us feeling appreciated. The manager made us feel very welcomed and was willing to explain any questions that we had about the menu. There was a pleasant selection of fine Mediterranean cuisine that was easy to read and select from. We were also very pleased to find as we sat down, that other seeming regulars and even new customers browsing the menu were warmly greeted and given the same respect and attention that we had received The food in itself is very different from what I have on the everyday agenda, but the impression of this wide selection of wonderful food came tasting done, different, full of flavor and life, and it only added to the warm environment for such a small place. Went there to pick up a lunch combo, and I was disappointed. Price wasn't bad. For less than $8, you got a lot of rice, salad, pita bread, and 3 meat types. The problem is that none of those things tasted that good. It was all bland, didn't seem fresh. My girlfriend has gone before and recommended the gyro, so perhaps I would have gotten that. Staff was kind. Interior was a bit dated looking. They showed some awards from a few years back about best Mediterranean cuisine, but I'm not sure what those people got. My food was far from the best. I'd check out Shish Kabob on Roswell Street instead. read more

I want to give Med Grill a 3, but "Meh, I've experienced better" too accurately summarizes my experiences here. I've come here a few times since the food is inexpensive and the restaurant is very closeby, but compared to other Greek/Mediterranean restaurants I've been to, this just doesn't stack up. The pita is bland and tough, with no char and room temperature. If you order the business lunch special for lunch, you do get a nice big plate of rice and gyro meat, salad, steak and kafta. The kafta is the highlight, it is pretty juicy and good, but the gyro is very bleh. The plate is pretty rice-heavy too. Falafel is ok. Not too bad in a sandwich, but not exceptional. I do like their baklava a lot though, so if you do come here make sure to grab one or two for dessert. To summarize, sub-par Mediterranean food in a sea of Mediterranean restaurants in the area. read more

You immediately feel welcome No it is not five star dining, it is a very casual neighborhood spot. The prices are good and the selection covers most of what you would expect to find at a mediterranean place. They have a great business lunch special that is very affordable and HUGE. Their hummus is nice, falafel is dry (but I am very picky about falafel so I am not the best person to ask), I like their kofta sandwich and their gyro is good. As I am writing this I am wondering if I should call my husband and see if he would like to meet me there for lunch today....... Just thinking about the place and I am hungry. Complaints? I was looking for a Mediterranean style cuisine restaurant tonight and we found one! We looked it up on Yelp. It was close enough for us to get there conveniently and not have to go downtown to get good food. We are humus freaks, so this place was going to have to meet some high standards for humus, as we have not found any we really like in the Marietta-Vinings area in the past year. This was the best thus far. The service was really good, food came out quick, the owner talked with us and mad us feel welcome. They had great gazpacho as well. My baby boy who is not quite a year yet was loving it and the humus dip. Glad we got there when we did and got a table because it got busy after we ordered and got our food. Disguised as an ordinary hole in the wall, this small restaurant has big taste for little prices. You'll be please to find that their employees are very friendly and extremely quick with the gyro sandwiches. The taste is similar to their other locations and trust me, that's a great thing to have in common. The gyro sandwich here, makes every gyro joint around the area seem worthless and totally as well as easily avoidable. Even though they have about two to three competitors down the road near Sandy Springs, but they are the only ones truly representing what a gyro sandwich should be, a fresh mixture of cucumber sauce with succulent lamb/beef meat on the go. I highly recommend the business lunch if you're in before 3, it's a total steal. The chicken kabob sandwich is fresh to order so it takes a bit longer than the gyro version. It's a healthier alternative and worth the wait. The vibe is certainly casual and makes for a great quick lunch without the hassle. It's certainly busy during the lunch hours and even more so during the evening dinner hours, from the visits I've had to this location. After 2:30 is when it truly slows down to almost a crawl, which is the perfect time to go. I've been going here for a few years now and am certainly glad they're in East Cobb. The cucumbers were crunchy and pita was soft. My husband got the gyro sandwich with potatoes and he said it was very tasty, he loved the tzaziki sauce with the pita bread.
