This place has the best hot lunch plates. I get their Pichana plate every time! The food comes out hot & fast. Alongside that I like to get coxinha & hungry rosca. I had a wonderful lunch yesterday with my friend, Greg. He loves Brazilian Bakeries and this one was great. I had the traditional omelet (which included ham, cheese, and flavoring with oregano) with a very refreshing fruit juice of pineapple and mint. The food was served hot and everything was delicious. I love the authentic feel of this location, and the staff there were so very nice, kind, and accommodating. I did not have dessert. I was encouraged to return and try one of their lunch plates, which I plan to do in the future. Parking is free and ample in a private, off-the-street lot. The wait time on orders was less than 15 minutes. Seating is limited but reasonable for the side of the location. read more

This was a first time visit for all four of us. We ordered an omelet and three burgers - two chicken and one beef. All were very well received. Service was excellent - helpful, pleasant, and prompt. So starting with the things I liked was the food. Hands down some of the best food I have had in a while. There is nothing pretentious about the food here. It's just some excellent food. I got the steak plate. First of all the steak was a pichana and was an excellent cut. It was incredibly tender and flavorful cut of steak. It was also cooked perfectly and they got the fat cap perfectly rendered. The plate also came with a salad, pasta, rice, and beans. It was a good amount of food and everything on the plate was just a highlight in itself. The pinto beans were seasoned and almost resembled a stew. Usually the liquid around beans is eh, but here it was a great flavor in itself. The pasta didn't have a sauce but it had amazing flavor. There was a slight garlicly and fat flavor to it. I am doing terrible describing these because I have no idea how they cooked them. I had never had anything quite like what I got here but it was all wonderful. Ok so now for the things that could have been better. So they don't post a menu. I had to ask if they even did lunch and the person behind the counter rattled everything off and I didn't really get what all the options were. So, I just chose one thing I could remember. I wish there was something written somewhere or printed off I could look at, preferably with descriptions. Also, not having it written down means you don't get to see prices and I would have never guessed that the plate would have cost $22 for lunch. I just didn't think a lunch would be that much. Excellent coxhinuas! Friendly service and a very clean restaurant. Enjoyed my first visit here at this family run strip mall restaurant. Staff approachable and guided me as to what to try for my first visit. Reminds me of immigrant eateries I found in Chicago as they also sold Brazilian groceries as well. My Brazilian coffee was flavorful and not bitter at all. The Coxhinua reminded me of Russian pierogies. It was shredded chicken with cheese molded into balls and then battered and then deep fried with a wonderful crunchy crust that was well suited for a midday meal as I had missed my lunch the day I tried this place. Highly recommend if you want something different that you are unable to make yourself and isn't fast food. I look forward to trying this place again. read more

Without reservations, 5 out of 5 score. Amazing customer service. Beef empanadas were delicious, seasoned just right- may be a little low salt for some folks, but that's why there is table salt. The empanada casing (not the right term but the stuff outside of it) was not flour but cassava- even more impressive. The beef and mozzarella kibbeh were really tasty too- a little dense for me, but cracked wheat is going to be dense. I had the American breakfast and my sweetheart had the Misto breakfast. My eggs were a perfect soft scramble. Sweetheart requested his breakfast to be made into a sandwich, which they accommodated. They had run out of French bread but the hamburger bun was soft, fresh, and a little sweet, perfect canvas for the savory egg, bacon, ham and cheese filling of the Misto breakfast. Finally, the maracuja juice was fresh and not super sweet. We took some pastries to go, but will definitely return for the grilled meats- the smell was insane! Come and support these local business. This bakery restaurant is in a small shopping center across st from Walgreens & across new Chastain Rd. South State Bank across the st. If your driving fast you will miss it. Wow The most amazing Brazilian Bakery with food. Its nothing fancy but really clean with a few tables. I was impressed with their customer service. They are so nice & willing to go out of their way to explain anything you want to know. Their deserts are incredible! Theres so many different ones I wouldn't know where to begin. However if your hungry for lunch or dinner this is where you can taste true Brazilian foodThey have a menu for lunch & dinner, but they also cook specialty dinners each day. So if your planning on something special you should call to see what's for dinner that day. Everything there from deserts to food is so fresh & colorful.... In my humble opinion eating their food or deserts is the closest you could get to Brazil without flying there. You can eat at one of their small tables, take out or have it delivered. I usually do takeout, but had lunch there, once--the Feijoada plate was extra delicious with generous portions! Just went in for the first time today and was warmly greeted by who I believe is the owner - a very friendly person. Told him it was my first time and he showed me around - the food that they had - and told me what each thing was and what it had contained.
