Service is horrible. Workers have a nasty attitude. Care quality is good, but they don't know how to speak with patients with kindness.

My husband had a great treatment on a strained tennis knee with acupuncture and cupping.

She was lighthearted and really friendly. When we found out that she wasn't going to be our delivery nurse, we were honestly so devastated. Then we were so nervous meeting our delivery doctor. We were scared to get attached to the doctor because there's a strong possibility that we wouldn't get them while I was in labor. I can say with absolute confidence we absolutely love Dr. Averill. She put all my fears and worries to rest. She kept keeping tabs on me seeing how far along I was. My baby was stuck and I got a fever and I had to get an emergency c-section. She was off and she came back to perform my c-section. She didn't have to come back to do my procedure, but she did and that's how dedicated she was. If I have another baby she is for sure going to be my doctor!

I don't know what happening at Optum but they're becoming impossible to deal with. My dermatologist…read moresuddenly became unavailable (won't take Optum anymore)--rather than informing me, they waited until I needed an Rx refill and called the office to get it. Shockingly, if you look up providers on the Optum website, they're still listed which, to my mind, is inexcusable. The next Dr I called was listed as being in an Optum office that's 3 miles from my house. I was curtly informed that that office no longer does dermatology. I was offered one office that was 12 miles from my home and another that was 35 miles from my home. I called the 12 mi facility and they said they couldn't see me without a referral. Well, the referral should have been on file since I've been seeing the other guy for a few years now. At this point I asked to speak with a supervisor. Sorry, they're all in a meeting. I said I'd wait. Fifteen minutes later, the rep informed that they could deliver a message but couldn't wait any longer. In the meantime, I'm out of a medication. Again, inexcusable. It feels very much like the accountants have taken over because their service is no longer patient centric. As much as I like my PCP, I may have to change. Optum has become an obstacle to my good health.

I was referred to this Doctor's Santa Clarita office (25425 Orchard Village Rd., Suite 150, Santa…read moreClarita, CA 91355) by my primary doctor. I called the office at (323) 794-1342 to schedule an appointment and unfortunately later needed to reschedule due to ongoing health issues. This was only the second time I had attempted to reschedule. What stood out most to me was the way the situation was communicated over the phone. The staff member Maria that I spoke with came across as very insensitive and lacking empathy while explaining that, due to the rescheduling history, the doctor would prefer I find another provider. While I understand offices have scheduling policies, the tone and delivery of the conversation felt cold and dismissive rather than understanding toward a patient dealing with medical challenges. In addition, it has been very difficult to reach the office directly. Calls are often routed to an answering service, and when the Santa Clarita office does answer, there are usually long hold times. This makes basic communication and scheduling changes more stressful than necessary. After that interaction, I decided I would feel more comfortable seeking care elsewhere. The experience gave me the impression that scheduling policies seemed to take priority over patient understanding, compassion, and patient wellbeing. Patient communication and professionalism are extremely important in healthcare settings, and unfortunately this experience left me feeling discouraged rather than supported. In the end, I am thankful this happened beforehand rather than after going through a procedure and potentially having a negative experience during my care.

Medicare/Medicaid recipients get treated like cow manure VERY OFTEN because that's not where doctors get paid the most from. When my mom showed me signs of weakness that was unusual I called you and you brushed me off and told me nothing was wrong with her. Maybe 2 weeks later she died from an oversized heart, that did not happen overnight. After completing our own autopsy it became very clear that my call to you was not the start of your carelessness with my mother Gloria. You FAILED her and God knows who else! As a doctor, she trusted you. She TRUSTED everything you said to her for over 20 YEARS since you were in Van Nuys next to the hospital. You were quick to suggest drugs but never noticed her damn HEART?! I say this with my whole entire being, I dislike you SO much. I HOPE the same lack of concern you had for my mother is that same lack of concern you get back in your most needed time for help. Karma will reach you in divine timing. First off, this is long. I post the good, bad and ugly. This isn't good…read more Everyone at the Panorama facility has been nice and caring with the exception of the call centers. The Kaiser process breaks down when the patient is in the middle of care and sent home after surgery. Getting in touch with our surgeon was impossible. We had to start with the call center and explain everything each time to a new person what we needed. This makes it very difficult for families doing home care. My wife's surgeon did a wonderful job until he didn't. He sent her home without much follow-up and a terrible pain management plan. She should have been kept as an inpatient due to the amount of pain for her type of surgery. Dr. Stephen James Torres has poor bedside manner due to his absence.. He barely met with my wife post-op. Then the recovery nurse called and he prescribed another stronger medication while we were talking. However, this was another opiate. This would have had her on 2 opiates in rotation. The Pharmacist even had concerns for this pain management at home. We had to call "get care now " and that nurse recommended we don't rotate meds. She also said we should go back to ER. My wife toughed through this ordeal, but she shouldn't have had to deal with this at home. Demand another Dr and inpatient care for the safety of the patient. Oh! The cafeteria was decent.
