It is crazy that this dispensary has anything other than five stars they have the best bud in town for the best prices and their staff is always amazing ... everywhere I go from Show grow to essence to rise. We normally go to planet 13, but lately we've been wanting to switch it up. Medizin was the original, and they founded Planet 13. Their flowers are sold at planet 13 at a great rate for locals. However it was a bit disappointing that this location didn't offer a local discount. I was happy to see the Mike Tyson Nights Out gummy line, but it ended up being melted and all clumped together. :(. They were on sale for $50 for five bags, so now I have five melted bags of Gummies. I'm trying to eat through. I didn't see Daily Grape being sold here, which I always buy of theirs at a planet 13. This is gonna go straight out to the manager Adam. I've been coming to this dispensary for about four years now and recently yesterday I came in, and I was told that one of the favorite receptionist Maile had quit due to a reason that her mom was dying in the hospital. One of the workers yesterday had mentioned that management gave her option because it was a EDC weekend. She had claimed that she had to be at the hospital with her mother it is wrong and sad for a manager to not allow Unemployment to be with the parent during a dying stage. I was also told by one of the bud tenders that he has no sympathy for any of the employees for the company it's hard to be told that a hard young lady like her had to quit her job and have a choice between her job and her mother.. there's one thing that I have to say. This young lady has always give excellent customer service to every guest. There's been moments where I had to wait in the lobby because they were so busy and so packed, but no matter what she handled the situation and always asked a lot of the guest if they were OK or if they needed anything, she always put a smile on everybody's face always welcoming her guest, her greatness. Her conversation always made the day. I remember there was an incident. I was behind a young fella and he was arguing with your employee because his ID was expired. She took the time to explain to him how the rules are and apologize that she had a situation that she would be with me in a minute You guys had a excellent employee myself and my son are definitely gonna miss her. You should have never allowed this to get to this situation. I came in again today and it breaks my heart to not be able to see that smile or to see her at work. She is definitely missed And to know through some friends that her mother passed away that Saturday night is just sadness. She always took the time for her guest every day. Nobody should have to choose their job or choose a parent that is going through health issues and this is wrong of the company to allow this from a manager. I wanna give a five star to her and another five star for the other employees explaining why this young woman is no longer here. I will be start going to planet 13 and for some of the customer service that is now happening sucks. I would never forget that pretty face of hers with that smile. Just show your i.d. and have a seat & wait till your name is called 02) some of the employees in my personal opinion just don't know what's going on around them 03) I've come across an issue where I used a certain phrase / slang term and me and the budtender both had completely different interpretations, case of just asking questions but not taking the time to ask the right questions. Example: budtender: hey how are you doing today and what can I help you with? Are you looking for something in specific ? Concentrate/ flower ect ect - all sounds perfect right, yes but no. Me: I'm looking for flower, I want to get baked/wasted / toasted / f'd up / High AF/ Rudolph red eyed ect ect Budtender: so you want to go to sleep? Me: irritated and frustrated , we're obviously speaking different languages bro These questions not only be re-worded but rephrased as well to help not only be more direct but to assist in gauging which direction to point the customer in Unknown: online / pre-orders, I've never tried this service so I can't comment on it. They all seem to do it this way but I would prefer the quick in and out, I already see the offerings on the website and I have no desire to talk with a salesperson. Generally good compared to "Retail" prices. I've been trying to try the Medizen brand for a few months now but can't get them to deliver. I am a rewards member. I have visited the store once and they scanned my ID and gave me a card to have stamped for their rewards program. Obviously I'm a local resident because they have my ID with name, address, phone, and they collect it again when you order online (scanned ID). I have tried placing this order 3 times now and they just try to call instead of delivering. They don't leave a reason for the call and the return number they give is a switchboard number so WTF? The employees here are very knowledgeable and professional. They listen to exactly what type of effect (high) you are trying to achieve and give great recomendations. They give options and also explain the product very well to make you feel comfortable trying something different. I'm an edibles type of gal and I love their chocolate bars in affogato and chocolate & cream. The watermelon synergy dew drops tastes great and are also my top pick here. I make sure to stock up when they have specials. My husband likes the indica vape in the Mary Chino flavor. That cute lil tiny white vape pen packs a wicked punch. I got an 8th of Chloe, an 8th of OGKushBreath, and an 8th of Grape Valley Kush. What I would recommend to folks spending money at Planet 13? Be patient. Do NOT buy from them unless they have a sale. I am a returning medical customer, and have accumulated enough points to redeem a "$10 reward", towards a purchase. I called today, October 31, 2017 at 3:30 p.m to verify that I could use my "$10 reward" in conjunction with their special. Please see my attached photos ( a text message from Medizin and proof that I called at 3:30 p.m.). However, when I entered Medizin and was ready to check out, I was told that I could not use my $10 reward in conjunction with the promotion they had going on, which was 40% off all Medizin branded marijuana. Clearly, I was disgruntled. Not only was I treated as a low priority customer, but I was adversely affected by Medizin's false advertisement/lying. I ended up purchasing the eighth anyways (because its Halloween and was on a time schedule) but will not be returning. At Essence (W. Tropicana) and The Dispensary (Trop. & Decatur) down the street, a medical customer is allowed to use rewards with promotions. I have read several negative reviews about Medizin and did not understand why, now I do. HONESTY is NOT MEDIZIN'S policy. Proceed with caution. read more
