Mezze Mediterranean, welcome to the neighborhood!…read more We just left, everything was fresh and tasted like a grandmother was in the back making all these delicious dishes. My head is in the direction of Mediterranean, must be Greeks. No! My mom is half Greek but Mezze Mediterranean is not, this is a Turkish restaurant. I am not a Turkish aficionado but after today I can hold my own. First off, what is Pink Sultan? O.M.G. Made with beets and yogurt, this side was deelish! There was a young man behind the counter. He helped us navigate through the menu. We started with a Falafel plate to share as well as Pink Sultan. The falafel, wasn't too strong on the spices (and that's a good thing) they were fried perfectly with a side of Hummus. The Turkish Tzatziki (is it called that?) was a little thin compared to its Greek cousin. However, Pink Sultan rules anything in the Mediterranean! Soooooo good! My Shepherd Salad topped with Kabobs was another dish that is outside of my wheelhouse. The kabobs were seasoned perfectly. My wife's Gyro, again, not Greek. It was steak rather than lamb. Even the pita wrap was something outside the typical Mediterranean dish we're used to seeing. Mezze, total fan!

The place is simply decorated with a few tables inside and some picnic benches outside. Some of The food is displayed in chafing dishes, sort of cafeteria style. But their kitchen behind the scenes is where the magic takes place. The Pink Sultan is TO DIE FOR!! It's beets, mixed with Greek yogurt and spices. Looks great and tastes even better. My friend and I had quite a few of their items. The tomato eggplant dip is yummy too and should be used as a sauce over pasta. The salmon was grilled and tasty. Their lamb chops were nicely spiced and grilled to perfection. Taste it all, I promise that everything is more than delicious. The young man behind the counter was so patient and nice to us as well

There is seating available (4 tables) and you order at the deli counter. The service was great too- they told us ahead of time it may take some time to prepare what we ordered and made sure to bring it out once ready The food was delicious, very pleasant! We had: -Lahmacun: (A Turkish style pizza, flatbread dough topped with ground lamb.) this was so tasty!!! It was so fresh and the lamb was very well seasoned. It comes paired with lettuce, onions, and a lemon which you can add to it. -Kofte Kebab and Chicken Shish kebab platter: we asked if we could order the meats we wanted to eat and the owner said we could mix and match 2. We chose the kofte and chicken kebab an it Came plated with rice, bread, and salad. Everything was so good! The chicken was tender and tasty, and the kofta was also tasty although I may say a bit dry. Still good. The bread was a pleasant experience- it had been grilled a bit an had the flavors of the chicken and kofte on it. The salad was fresh too! Overall good experience- definitely check it out if you're in the mood for Turkish food!

That being said l, the lahmacun is the best I've had in a while, I order them in bulk and air fry em up. They always gip me on the yoghurt sauce and somethings there isn't enough veg for the amount I'm ordering, the service isn't outwardly friendly or fantastic, but it's okay. They just seem to be a bit sloppy, slow, and forgetful at times.

We were sat right away and some warm bread delivered super quick. It was not the normal Naan I was expecting but so good. I ordered up the sampler platter (5 items $24) and was shocked to see they had no Domas (stuffed grape leaves) available despite one of the options from the menu. That is a staple for me. My buddy also tried to order two different chicken dishes and the waiter had to ask if they can prepare and they said no so the waiter made a suggestion and that is what he ordered. Pretty simple chicken dish with rice, onions and shredded picked beets. The pieces of chicken were massive and super flavorful ($21). I also ordered the falafel (4pcs on hummus $9). So much food so we both had leftovers to box up. Our server was nice to drop off tea and finally a small piece of baklava to share. It was incredible. So, all in all an odd start in a quiet restaurant but the food was delicious and our service was top notch.
