My elderly parents have been dealing with a number of pain issues, including loss of taste and appetite from cancer treatments. A friend of theirs gave my mom a sample of tea, which she tried, and reported that she had the best night of sleep that she's had in a very long time. I did some research on the tea and found MedMen listed as a retailer on the brand's website. We found MedMen right on Sepulveda Blvd, The entrance is on the Sepulveda side, directly across the street from Kohls. We didn't need to wait very long before being allowed entry into the clean, brightly lit store. (This was my first time in a dispensary so I had no idea what to expect). My dad was greeted by a very sweet budtender, who explained to us the difference between CBD and THC, and had recommendations for what to focus on for pain management for day versus night. Cash or debit cards only. There is an ATM inside the store for convenience. (However all of the major banks are also represented only a block or two away on Sepulveda.) Customer service is amazing. I have this medical condition that i was diagnosis with years ago that flares up more then i would it to lately, I do that medication when it hits me really bad and supplements daily. I heard about MedMan for sometime now and this was my first time visiting the shop. I needed to pick up some more CBD that really helps with my pain it also helps reduce anxiety and depression. Parking is free with a lot of spaces, as you enter there is a staff member at the door with a security guard..they basically ask you to state your business, then you walk down a hall where other's staff along with security is waiting, they scan your DL and wait to enter. They have a large selection of many items and anything that may float-your-boat. Customer service was great as well, I will be back for more CBD goodies. read more

Plus I had a stamp card for 1 pre-roll for $1. My total was $65 and some change. So not worth it. Go somewhere else. They often over charged for the same things you can get up the block and this eventually led to their demise. So how are they still around? However, shout out to the security guard who kept trying to get the workers to check the guest in. It was upsetting to see employees blatantly disregard the security guard. Is this location under new management? The service here was pretty good in the past. Lately... some of the workers seem disengaged as if they're unaware that their job is customer service. One of the reasons I come to Medmen is for the customer service. Im willing to pay the higher prices because of the quality of service. Curbside? Hardly. I could have been sitting out in the back parking lot all morning.. They don't respond to your check in with with text or a call. I waited and waited. Finally I just went inside in spite of conditions imposed on entry which it was my preference to avoid by using the "curbside" option. Pointless. They're slow and obviously are not going to make an effort to serve customers in a timely manner. Only a couple of employees were apparent to me inside and one was packing orders up. Service here was incredible. Walking into a dispensary for the first time can feel intimidating but the staff here was so welcoming and helpful. We were approached by multiple staff (and a private vendor) and all are so helpful and friendly. Gave awesome recommendations and we got a few new products to try. Big variety. Ok so 5 star to customer service! It was my first time walking into a dispensary so I didn't know what to expect. The front was boarded up so I thought that's was that! My friend is a local who lives near there so she knows that happens and drove to the back. Walking in there was a line where she commented that's unusual - however it was went fast and created some distance. Once inside I noticed ---there were actual knowledgeable, friendly Staff!!! Going into any store you should be greeted with a smile and helped with sincerity. That's what we both felt. This was newness to me so I had questions and actually asked my friend because I'm like there's Cbd, CBN then all other types & in all forms. All the workers were very professional and helpful. The way the store is set up is very efficient and user friendly. You go up to a display case and then click around on the iPad to read about the product you potentially want to purchase. I can't fully comment on the prices since I don't know what edibles and other products normally go for, but I can comment on taxes. After my friend made her purchase on some cookie edibles, gummy edibles, pre rolled joint and I believe something else, she was charged over $25 in taxes. Any New Yorker will have a field day here! They do not accept credit card, debit only. The cashier insisted on "rounding up the amount to an even number" and giving me change in cash back. (I did not request or need cash back) Seemed weird but I didn't think much of it. Then I saw my bank statement.... The transaction comes up as a "cash withdrawal" from a non-bank ATM. So I got slapped with a fee from my bank as a result, as if I had pulled cash from a random, shady ATM. My guess is that they are doing this as a tax evasion scheme. read more

I've been wanting to take a trip to MedMen -- not necessarily this location, but it was closest to where I was at the time. It was a little hard to find in the dark -- most likely due to my GPS and me finding the first open spot in the lot I had pulled into (which was a different lot across the way) -- the lot near the entrance was much more empty. Luckily, a guy was sitting outside and was like, "You looking for MedMen?" He directed me to the door and told me to have my ID out -- down the hall, there were two girls and a guy. Once they see your ID, you walk into the store. Its pretty small and there is not a whole lot of merchandise as I thought there would be. I would imagine that the Venice or DTLA shops have more to offer. I came looking for something that could help my dad who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer -- in hopes of finding something that could help with his appetite. The girl who helped me was honest and helpful -- the cookies she recommended were sold out, but I didn't want to go home empty handed. I left with a few things, but was astonished at how expensive everything was. I don't normally buy from shops or people so I'm kind of out of the loop. I'm still interested in checking out the other locations, but keep in mind that you'll probably be spending more than you had thought. Convenient location, street parking, friendly staff, good product. This past weekend I was looking for something to help with back pain and the woman with the big frizzy afro was a dream! She recommended a product that worked well without the big high. She was extremely helpful and genuinely friendly which was very refreshing! My interaction with the lady who rang the purchase was also nice but confusing. I didn't understand how she calculated the price or my (senior) discount. The product was $22. initially she told me the total would be $36 "because they round up." I couldn't figure out what was being round up and after many questions I was told it was because I was using plastic. So I paid cash and it knocked off about $6. My receipt listed the product and discount but then the discount was subtracted. There was no itemization listing the taxes, fees, etc. So I have no idea how she arrived at the price of $32. By that time I had walked away and she was helping someone else so I let it go. It left me with a bad feeling though since the person I was with had a PROPER receipt.
