I have been treated at Rothman over the years. I was seen and prescribed medication. However when i went to the pharmacy to pick up the order, it had not been sent. I immediately tried calling the office at 3:15 pm knowing they close at 3:30, but did not get an answer. I had to wait for the next day in pain to call them again for the Rx. Now, I get it, people make mistakes, but when dealing with peoples health and well being, mistakes can not be an option. I will continue to use Rothman and i hope that this review helps strengthen whatever policy (answering the phone) failed in this instance. I will ask for paper scripts as well in the future as a backup.

It just happened to be I had the same doctor on this day that I did two years ago. This doctor diagnosed properly 2 yrs ago and this day as well. He gave me prednisone as well as Doxy Clyde hydrate. This medicine worked to some degree this time around, however, I did not see an improvement throughout the night and could not sleep in any way shape or form because of hearing the wheezing in my lungs. I decided to use the remaining albuterol prior to going to sleep at night. This is what brought healing to my lungs In the long run. This albuterol was prescribed to me "last year". I did need albuterol to get rid of the wheezing. I do want to make a note. The nurse that took my vitals did not have good bedside manners was not very pleasant.

They sell Care Now like our office visits that have a waved copay and quest labs, but the copay was on the bill, and they do not have the same agreement with the labs as their other primary care locations. There is no benefit in choosing these locations over an urgent care. All of this being said, I did like the Doctor. He actually was great with describing the pricing on the prescriptions, I am sure if he had known what the labs would have costed out of pocket he would have shared that information.

The bad & ugly: After my visit in January, I received my bill post-insurance. Before I even received the paper bill, I received a text message and phone call requesting payment. The voicemail didn't even tell me who they were, just that they were from the "billing department." Immediately upon receiving the statement in the mail (on Feb. 21), I submitted it to my HSA (Health Savings Account) for payment which can take up to 30 days for the payment to clear. In those 30 days, I received a second physical bill in the mail and an additional text message and 2 phone calls. I called and told them that the payment was in the mail. After yet another physical bill two weeks ago, I called and sent them proof of payment from the HSA (HSA confirmed the check cleared on March 13). Then, another two weeks go by, and I receive yet another bill on Apr. 15, this time labeled "Final Statement Before Further Action." The redemption: At this point, I was clearly frustrated and annoyed. So, I left a negative review here. The next day, I heard from the office manager wanting to call and talk to me by phone. I sent him the proof of payment and told him when he could call. During the phone call, he apologized about the issue I was having and said that he would track down the missing payment. By the end of the day, he had found the deposited check. And, finally, my outstanding balance was resolved. In summary (TL;DR): I thought the staff at the office were nice, personable, and helpful. They definitely helped me out when I was pretty sick and needed to be seen as soon as possible. However, billing leaves much to be desired. My hope is that my experience is a one-time and not a systemic problem. Only time will tell.
