Took my vitals and then the staff shut the door and left the exam room. Over an hour later I finally got up and opened the door and two doctors were just sitting there. I was literally just going to leave but they said they were really busy and I was next. Went back to the room and the doctor came right in. 3 minutes of exam and he prescribed normal prescription you'd expect for a sinus infection. Was out 5 minutes later. Pretty sure they literally forgot about me because once I walked out of the exam room I got all kinds of intense attention. Upon exiting through the lobby it was completely empty.

She said "this is what I was told to do by MY boss". I kindly mentioned I have been to other Express Wellness locations and only pay $25 for a copay. She then told me that the locations I had been to were new, not the same type of urgent care that their location was, and were "not in the loop yet". I have been to the glenpool, jenks, and Sapulpa locations. I have only ever paid a $25 copay. The Glenpool location is the newest, but I know the Sapulpa location has been there for years. I didn't want to cause a scene because she was persistent that I owed $75. She said I haven't reached my deductible (which has never been an issue before). My mother called the billing office immediately to address. She talked to Lori. Lori agreed with her and told me she'd contact the office then call me. She never heard back. This morning she called Lori again. This time Lori was short with my mother and basically told her we'd have to wait and see IF we'd be refunded. No direct resolution. This isn't just a customer service issue. I'd hate to see what they steal from patients that come through without healthcare coverage. Note: they are MEDNOW but have Express Wellness all over their facility. Regardless, my insurance is still in network with them.

My friend's 89 year old father went to St. Johns emergency room due to abdominal pains. After 5…read morehours, they said that he had a kidney stone, and sent him home with pain killers. They told him that he would pass the stone. The next day he was worse than ever. His physician told us to take him back to the emergency room. We called in advance, and the wait was over 6 hours. I called OSU hospital, and they said that the wait was 1-1/2 hours, but if he was really bad, they would put him in the front of the line. So we took him to OSU...after tests, they determined that he had kidney infections! The hospital was full, so they made a very comfortable room in the emergency room. His canal between his kidneys and bladder were narrowed, so they had to perform an emergency surgery to put in a stent. After two days, he's like a new man. OSU saved his life. In Tulsa, the default hospitals are St. Francis (where my mother worked for years) and St. Johns. I'm sold on OSU.

She looked at it under a light scope and said the cellular makeup was not cancer. I have an identical twin who recently had a skin cancer removed. Most recently a follow-up appointment which I waited over an hour to get in. I told her the spot had not completely healed. Once again she applied more liquid nitrogen and assured me not cancer. The next day my neck was very swollen and I had a terrible headache. I called the office to see what to do. I see her at the Tulsa clinic, 2121 E 21st St. I've read reviews having negative issues. I particularly don't understand when people report difficulty in making appointments. Several doctors of this clinic also keep hours in Claremore. But that's only one day a week for them. It is a busy clinic. But as another reported, the doctor has "squeezed" me in when I called with an issue. It isn't uncommon for the parking lot and waiting room to be packed. That's my only negative. I'm a blue eyed blonde and one time sun goddess. I've regularly seen dermatologists as far back as I can remember. Her online profile mentions her interest in surgical dermatology and Botox. I have no experience with her outside of regular check-ins. And to that I'll say she is absolutely the most thorough I've ever experienced. I've found her assistants to not only be amiable but helpful with medications and prescribing. They work for you -- they know who has your meds, how much it costs, what discounts are available, etc. Another positive is their patient portal. Answered in a timely manner and no hesitation in giving you a call. Be sure to have all your insurance cards every time you visit and be prepared for minimal paper work once you're an established patient. Once your appointment is over you'll see the personnel at the front desk who will make your next appointment.
