    Black garlic, kimchi, & shoyu
    Anna T.

My friends & I came from California on a trip to Red Rocks! We were scurrying last minute to find a spot to munch at. We came in expecting to get katsu but wanted something more filling instead. The menu they provided sounded so good, we all got different ramen. It was empty but very nice interior. The napkins were dusty- maybe not a lot of customers come in but hopefully they can make changes to the napkins and utensils regularly. On another note, the ramen was so good! We can't help but emphasize how much we loved it. This is the best ramen I've ever had, would definitely recommend this place. You won't be disappointed!

Ok... the atmosphere isn't happening for at all. They need to do something with those gray walls. The fluorescent lights were overbearing. Art Art Art!! I think if they work on that they might solve part of the empty establishment problem. The server that served me it's extremely nice. She answered all my questions. Very attentive, but not all up in my face. So far the kimchi is delicious and the macaroni salad was also delicious. I wouldn't bring it to the cook out, but I ate it up. The Ramen, what I came here for is very flavorful. I got the Truffle Tonkotsu Ramen with the pork, banging.

Inauthentic but pretty yum. The place is cozy and basic. A good place for a nice quick lunch. If you want something more western and interesting but not so fantastic that you will be afraid to try. Get the truffle. If you want no frills, just get black oil garlic. The chicken portion is a lot while the gyoza is pretty standard stuff.

Spicy black garlic ramen. Not very spicy, full of creamy broth flavor.

The food was bland and not worth the price they are charging. There are better options locally.

My partner ordered spicy shoyu tonkotsu ramen that very similar to mine, but has extra oily chilli sauce in it & thinly slice chilli flake topping that I like. We were seated fairly quick and was given water cups fast. We got a quick rundown of the menu, however we did have a newer server. We thought she did great as she constantly checked in on us and made sure that we were doing well. The takoyaki was a bit too doughy for my liking, but it was okay. The gyoza are on the other hand was absolutely perfect and needed no additional sauce except the one that came on it. When the black garlic Ramen came to the table, it had a slight flavor, but I would say it was pretty plain. We ended up asking for some of the sauce that was on the Gyoza for the soup base. When we added that to the soup base, it became 1000 times better. The noodles were cooked fairly well, but I would just say the broth needed a bit more flavor. Overall, it was a nice spot and we may be back to try other things.

The vibe is fast and loud, but the servers are super efficient and communicative. I really liked the tokidoki roll and hamachikama. Hard to go wrong with those! The hamachi kama was HUGE. They give you the entier collar! I also liked the yaki ika which was very tasty, not rubbery at all. They have a lot of ramen on the menu which was a crowd pleaser for our group. Their edamame is also very spicy and quite good -- not your typical simply salted edamame. One thing I wouldn't order - the kimchi fried rice. One person in our party ordered it but it wasn't really fried rice, just kimchi and meat mixed with steamed white rice.

Very Japanese like feeling with knick knacks every where with banners, akachõchin. Sushi bar takes one side and also a small bar to the back. Drink menu featured several imported Japanese bottled beers on top of the common ones at reasonable price. Ended up getting the house salad, chicken yakitori, spicy tonkatsu ramen and yaki ika. All tasted good, no complaints. Spicy tonkatsu ramen had rich broth, chatsu was grilled and plenty. Repeat

What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.
