Inedible SALT bomb of a bowl - as if a shaker of salt fell in it!
    Jessie Elizabeth J.

I'm sorry to say while staff were so kind the food here is terrible - by that I mean my noodles were so salty they were genuinely inedible! It tastes like every separate ingredient was pure salt including the pickled veggies. The broth for my husbands tonkatsu ramen was lukewarm and tasted heavily of fish - way too much bonito or something gone off. I wish I could leave a good review because it's a cute spot with nice staff but clearly whoever owns it isn't maintaining proper food prep and also sadly it's not a clean environment. I don't blame the staff I blame the owner- shameful!

We come here when we have games at the Stable across the way. They are always so accommodating in getting our food out promptly so that we can make our next game (which we appreciate so much). Servers are attentive and we love the robot delivery. What we swallowed: *DUMPLINGS: Tasty *PORK BELLY: Soft steamed bread and delicious pork belly. Hits the spot every time. *TONKATSU RAMEN: We like to share this since we order side but it's a good portion on it's own. *KARAAGE CHICKEN: Always a favorite. Crispy. Well seasoned. So good. Such a great place, good food and great service. It's a great spot with good food!

Internet- you were worth the hype. Came here with friends in town and we all loved our ramen bowls. It was honestly a bit fun to see everyone slurp down to the last trop in the bowl to see if they were winners (spoiler- none of us won).

For a visit during lunch on a weekend, there were plenty of seats and got lucky parking in front of the restaurant. I ordered a pork bun as an appetizer, their black garlic ramen special and a passion fruit tea as my drink. Pork bun tasted as your standard at most ramen shops. The ramen was almost delicious! Chasu was marinated well with a good balance between meat and fat. Egg was boiled perfectly and noodles had a good chew to them. The black garlic was tasty too and you know it wasn't just a pour of garlic sauce...they had small bits if garlic in the broth! Moving on to the broth is the reason I couldn't give it a 5...something was missing. Flavor depth wasn't there. Overall...from the hospitality to a solid ramen, I would recommend this ramen shop if you're nearby.

I came into Mikaku looking for a quick ramen dinner. Upon entering, the place was bustling, and despite the restaurant being at nearly full capacity, the staff immediately seated me. The server promptly came by to take my order, and my food came out shortly afterwards. I had the beef rib ramen and the blue crab hand roll. The hand roll was a bit underwhelming, but the beef rib ramen was perfect! The broth was appropriately seasoned and packed with flavor, while the beef was exceedingly soft and tender. While the portion sizes are good, this place is a bit pricey. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Mikaku based on both service and food quality!

Food: I love the thick chashu pork slices, so tender & flavorful. The pork broth is so umami & everything blend well together. Not too oily broth which I preferred. My partner ordered spicy shoyu tonkotsu ramen that very similar to mine, but has extra oily chilli sauce in it & thinly slice chilli flake topping that I like. We also love charshu bao bun & takoyaki appetizer. They are all very delicious :) Service: Great service with Robot food delivery. When we asked for a gift card. The owner came to politely explained to us that they only have online gift card version available. We like their fast & caring service. Ambiance: Modern, wooden, cozy & clean with some fun vending machine like in Japan. Sum up: Definitely go back & I want to try their live lobster ramen next time!

Mikaku ramen takeout split packaging to keep the broth separate until you get home.

We tried Mikaku after hearing about them on IG. We didn't have time to eat in, so we ordered a Tonkotsu and a Spicy Tonkotsu to go. Before I even get to the food, we were impressed by their takeout packaging. Not something I usually notice, but we received our order in a reusable tote that seems lined to keep the heat in and the bowls separated the broth from everything else in order for it to be as fresh as possible when we got home, which really made a difference. The broth was flavorful, the ingredients were generous and fresh as well and most importantly, the noodles were perfect. We had also ordered karage, but they were out unfortunately (this was around 5pm) as well as being out of a couple other items as we discussed the menu. Despite that, we thought the service and food were great.

    Shoyu Tonkotsu and fried gyoza
    Alison C.

Came here on a Monday afternoon for a quick lunch. The waiter had great recommendations and was attentive. I ended up ordering the shoyu Tonkotsu ramen and a side of gyoza. The ramen noodles were perfect. The broth had good flavor, but missing a little depth to it. The cha siu was a bit more chewy than I'd like, but had some tender bites to it. The gyoza were fairly good. Had great crispy exterior and tender meat and veggies inside and not bland. The chili sauce gets it's very own special mention. It was so addictive, I couldn't get enough. I wish I could slather everything in this chili oil. It isn't spicy at all, but the flavors are a little sweet with chili flavor. I enjoyed the modern decor and it was naturally bright inside. Wasn't the best ramen I've had, but it hit the spot. I'd definitely drop by if I'm in the area.

Ordered take out from here for the first time and I have to say the packing was top tier. It came in a nice insulated bag and the ramens were packed very nicely. Service was quick and easy. We got the Spicy Miso Ramen and Shoyu Tonkatsu Ramen. Both were excellent. My 7 year old approves and he is usually a picky eater. Highly recommend coming here especially on a snowy day such as today.

Mikaku is a very cute and trendy ramen restaurant. There's lots of large Pokemon figurines everywhere and it's a nice decorated spot.i like the open kitchen concept. We ordered several things and in my opinion, their ramen is one of the better ones in Denver (the options here are quite limited). I had the beef rib ramen and it was quite tasty and flavorful. There's a lot of beef (more than I was expecting). The unagi eel rice was also quite tasty. The wings and fries were nice appetizers to share among 4 people. The fries were a little much for me.

We drove across town, while visiting Denver to try this Ramen place after watching a reel on Instagram. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was surprisingly very busy. We were seated immediately. There were only two servers working that day. Our waitress was very appreciative of our patience, but honestly it wasn't needed, we had everything we asked for and got served quickly. Everything we tried was delicious, our favorite was the pork belly bun. It was served with a thick cut of pork belly, a slice of cucumber, and hoisin sauce. Simple and perfect. The Miso Ramen was flavorful and delicious. One fun touch the restaurant has, is the robots moving around, delivering drinks and food. We loved it everything. We will be visiting next time we are in town.

The restaurant have an amazing theme is about pokemon or japanase anime anyway this place selling ramens, food taste good and flavour pork broth, the service of the servers is nice and helpful.

This place is beautiful. Great decorations and light colors. It doesnt blind you but it isn't too dark. The takoyaki was very flavourful. Really good. The kirage was a bit plain but still a decent appetizer. The ramans were good. It wasn't the best but definitely hit the spot. We enjoyed it. They use a thinner noodle and the broth is very rich. The service was attentive and polite. They used their robot twice but it seemed unnecessary, as they walked with it, to deliver the meals. The to-go bags were really cool and re-usable bags. I would recommend coming here. Next time I'll try their beef rib Raman. It broth looked really rich.

What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.
