This sushi restaurant is SO KAWAII and is the best bang-for-your-buck when it comes to AYCE sushi! The restaurant itself is super cute with all the Totoro and Studio Ghibli decor. There's bar seating and plenty of tables to choose from. The sushi chefs are all lined up behind the bar if you wanna take a peep at how your sushi's being prepared. My cousin and I have come here multiple times for the AYCE sushi. My favorite thing to start with is a bowl of miso soup and some nigiri. My favorite roll is the Salmon Tempura roll! Sushi Totoro was a nice spot for lunch. It was my first time and it was a very casual lunch spot to see a friend to celebrated their new apartment. Parking was a little hard to find up close as this place is in a shared shopping center. We sat and were asked about our drinks. They serve Pepsi products. They have sake and beer as well. Lunch menu had a combo option or you could choose the AYCE option. Both were running around $25. Out of the 3 of us , was a ramen bowl for about $20, and somebody just wanted to chicken fried rice and I couldn't upgrade my rice on my combo to get that. They paid $18 for just a plate of Chicken fried rice. That was ridiculous. I was not liking that. My combo was $23. The service was great when the server was tending to us. They have lots of options to choose from. Everything I have had here was good! The sushi is fresh considering it needs to make it all the way to this land locked state. I highly recommend trying their spicy seared salmon Nigiri. The sushi isn't fancy or anything this place is a more casual environment, just so you know. The service is good here as well. They are fairly quick, especially for being AYCE. Don't forget you can order one special roll with AYCE. Those are on a separate menu. You write down the one that you want at the bottom of the sushi section. Love the studio Ghibli theming throughout the restaurant. It is clean as well inside. Under 5 is free. I've been coming to this sushi restaurant for over 4 years, and this was honestly one of the most disappointing visits I've had. I'm not sure if the restaurant recently went under new ownership, but the quality felt very different from what I'm used to. The food lacked flavor overall. My girlfriend ordered the edamame, and it was completely tasteless, looked old, and didn't even have the proper vibrant green color you'd expect. The service was extremely slow -- we waited over 40 minutes, and when our food finally arrived, the server didn't seem to know what she was serving us, which was frustrating. When the sushi eventually came out, it was just okay at best. I'd rate it around a 6/10, which is disappointing considering how consistent this place used to be. I also noticed the server clearing dirty plates and handling used items with her bare hands, then immediately picking up clean utensils, chopsticks, and drinks without washing or sanitizing her hands. Since we were seated for over 50 minutes waiting for our food, we had plenty of time to observe what was going on around us, and unfortunately we noticed several concerning hygiene and service issues during that time. This place has gone really downhill. Don't know if it was cause it was towards the end of the night, but the food was terrible and got both us nauseous. Rice was dry and way too much proportionally. The tuna doesn't even look like tuna. It looked like a piece of plastic, was rubbery and hard to swallow. I know AYCE sushi places usually aren't known for their quality but this is just inedible. We ended up just leaving it and paying for the leftovers cause we just couldn't bear to eat it without possibly throwing up in the restaurant. Everything else was just meh. Sushi Totoro has been our go to for to-go sushi for a while now. We discovered this place as we were driving home one night and decided to stop. It's a small little spot in a strip mall, so easy to miss. They have really good combo specials where you can get three rolls, virtually anything on their menu, for about $25. Even their special rolls! The value is amazing and the sushi itself tastes absolutely wonderful. They have a variety of offerings and some pretty unique rolls. The service is fast and the rolls are always made quickly without compromising attention to detail or taste. You to go order always comes with a cute little packaging of wasabi soy sauce, and some nice sweet treats as well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. We have not yet tried their all you can eat yet, but definitely something on our list! read more

Came here on a Tuesday evening around 5:30 and it wasn't crowded yet. I finished my meal 1 hour later around 6:30 and there was definitely a bigger crowd in the restaurant. I did AYCE sushi and ordered a good variety of items from their menu without trying to stuff myself to ensure I ate enough for the price. AYCE sushi was $30.99 per person and it also includes their specialty rolls which are roughly around $10-$15 per roll. Below are the items I ordered: Miso soup Tempura Cucumber salad Agedashi tofu Tuna nigiri Albacore nigiri Seared tuna Yellowtail Salmon Scallop Spicy scallop Smelt roe Unagi Spider roll And complimentary vanilla ice cream The service was fast, decent overhead music was played, the art on the walls were cute, and food tasted decent for the price point. This is a solid place for all you can eat sushi. Their menu options are way better than most AYCE places. They have a giant variety of appetizers to pick from including salads, tempura, edamame and even French fries. You can select various sushi however they are pretty tiny pieces, so I would suggest ordering more than usual. All specialty rolls are included too, which is awesome. Most AYCE places only allow you order the basic rolls. Service is always on point here. We have never had a bad server and they are always quick with orders, bring food out and checking on you to make sure you aren't missing anything. The place can get a little loud at times. Aspen Roll: This is a popular roll at sushi spots, however, Totoro is the best. It is one we always include in our order. The thin slice of lemon just enhances the freshness of the roll. My Boyfriend: Another favorite of ours. It is a rich combo of flavors that work very well together. My girlfriend: Our third must order. Great roll with a blend of flavors. Godzilla: A new favorite of ours. We are not huge on deep fried rolls. But the Godzilla roll won us over. Fried Jalapeños: it's tasty however not spicy at all. Which is what we wanted. I was really looking forward to treating myself, to dinner, for my birthday. What a disapppointment! Service was, virtually, nonexistent. I had to flag down someone, just to get a tea refill, or place another AYCE order, despite employees walking past my table, multiple times. When they, finally, came to the table, they acted as though I were interrupting them, and they were doing me a favor, by allowing themselves to be interrupted. As the meal progressed, it became clear that much of the fish that I was being served was, obviously, warm and unfresh. It was SO much so that I had to stop eating, because I was feeling nauseated. The woman who came to clear my table informed me that, because I hadn't eaten ALL of the sushi on my plates, she would be charging me an EXTRA $6.00, for "Left Over." Finally, I couldn't believe my eyes, when I poured some "soy sauce," into a saucer, and found that it was the color of black TEA and, entirely, unusable, as a sauce. What kind of an Asian restaurant DILUTES its soy sauce? Clearly, this restaurant cares more about cutting costs than about serving its customers in the manner that they have a right to expect. While they outline all the rules on their AYCE menu, their "all day buy one get one hot sake" is not accurate. I was told that it ended last year once the bill was brought over (I visited on 1/1/24). I have been to this restaurant twice for the all-you-can eat special. It is very affordable and the sushi is delicious. You get a specialty roll (per person), ice cream, and all you can eat from their specialty menu. The first time we went, it was not very busy and unfortunately the food came out slow. The second time we went, the food was flying out and we quickly filled up to the brim with fish and appetizing dishes. The sake is BUY ONE GET ONE, so don't forget to utilize that. Great sushi with cute to-go packaging! I was out running errands and was in this plaza so decided to try it out. We were greeted as we walked in. We decided to order takeout since we had just gotten groceries but it was cute and spacious inside. We ordered one Broncos roll, one Godzilla roll, and a plain tuna roll.
