Came for happy hour and wasn't disappointed. The inside was super chill, nice and quiet. The service itself wasn't bad but started off slow. We ordered spicy edamame and shishito peppers and they were very generous with the portions. The edamame was really good but the shishito peppers were unremarkable, kinda plain... the takoyaki balls were more dough than octopus The sushi was okay, we just weren't a big fan of the spicy salmon. We paid 65 after tax for a lot of food honestly. I would give it a second chance for happy hour or maybe even dinner time. ~JJPH
I came here on Tuesday evening with a friend for dinner around 6 PM. There was plenty of seating. It was happy hour which I presume made the food and drink a bit cheaper, but it did not seem that significant for me. I got the California roll, the tuna roll and the shrimp tempura roll as well as the Gyoza, seaweed salad and karage. The fried chicken was the best the sea salad, gyoza, and the sushi rolls were OK. Not bad, but not amazing. They were acceptable. I just expected more quality from a restaurant setting. I was visiting Aurora to see a friend so I don't know if this would be considered great for the Neighborhood.
Saturday date night and luckily this place wasn't packed. Unfortunately, even though it wasn't full the attention from the server was lacking. And the menu doesn't list everything, like the roll I got, did not mention it had spicy mayo and unfortunately I was not able to eat mine. Additionally, the surf and turf included scallions which my husband had to remove from his roll. I suggest asking for everything included in the meals if you have certain things you don't eat, because the menu won't list all ingredients. Last thing I noticed too is the tip percentages is estimates on the bill is like $2 more than what it really is, pretty dishonest of the business to be doing that to its customers. Idk that I'll be back.
Wow Wow WOW!!! 5 Stars, this place is amazing. Listen, if you want fresh sushi, with a large selection of it. This is the move!!! I don't really want to write a whole review of it, everyone's already done that. You should go, trust me.
I was craving some unagi and this place truly DELIVERED. My partner and I have been looking for a good yakitori / sushi / Japanese place in Colorado, and this really hit all all the spots. The karaage was super tender with a delicious mayo to accompany it. The yakitori is super tender, juicy, and the portion sizes are bigger than what I'm used to. The sushi was delicious, but pretty standard. I thought there were unagi rice bowls, but maybe that's a dinner item...? Regardless, I will be back for more. The service was super fast, and it was unexpectedly not crowded for a Saturday at lunch. We literally got in, got our food, paid, and left in 30 minutes. I appreciate that the Happy Hour menu is throughout the weekend too, and it let us have a sampling of everything! Also, the smooth jazz in the background with the clean decorations make for a very clean interior. Everything here was great.
Wow, what a pleasant surprise! We were starving after shopping at Epic Mountain Sports and this was close by. The ambiance here is a vibe! Super friendly service and they do happy hour on the weekends, what?! Yes. We ordered miso soup, yakitori, potato croquettes, shrimp tempura and plenty of sushi- everything was fresh and delicious! The tempura reminded us of our time in Japan! Will be back!
My husband had dined here about a year ago to try out sushi restaurants before we moved to Denver (I am a sushi fiend) and had said great things about it. We finally were able to dine in together and overall we had a great experience here. I had seen Leezakaya mentioned a few times on Instagram and was wary that it would be on par with the overhyped good vibes but mediocre food restaurants but I was proven wrong. I like that they have happy hour 11am-6pm Fri-Sat. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. We ordered the lamb and fish ball yakitori from the HH menu. I have never seen a fish ball so large. And it was a little smokey too. We also got several nigiri. I appreciated the excellent fish to rice ratio. My favorite was the aburi salmon. The special sushi was the otoro and it was very fatty and melt in your mouth. We also got the pork cutlet bento box. I had never had a pork cutlet with cheese inside it. I thought the meat was a little thin so the cheese might have been used for some filling? I enjoyed the shredded cabbage in the salad, edamame, and the CA rolls + 2 pieces of nigiri (tuna and salmon). Our miso soup did not come with the bento sadly. We also ordered the Jalapeño Hamachi. This dish normally comes out first when we order it at restaurants and after the bento had arrived, this still was not out. I asked the server about this and said if it was not ordered, it can be cancelled as we were quite full. She checked with the kitchen and said the chef forgot to put it in and it would be out. I was quite full at this point and did not want to waste it and ate it and it was very good. The cuts of hamachi were thick and the sauce was yummy. I did enjoy my first experience at Leezakaya however I wish that the jalapeño hamachi was brought out on time and that the miso soup came out with the bento box.
If I'm gonna say what was the overall gem of this place, it was CAROLINE!!!! amazing waitress!! Went above and beyond !!! Wow wow wow !!! 10/10 Love the vibe of this place , very eccentric in a positive way .. super unique and modern ... love the place The food was delicious ... nothing bad to say about the food or the drinks ... everything was good ... will be coming back for sure !!!! I want to try more things on the menu ... But overall what we had was all amazing Great job thank you !!
Ok I have to give them five stars because they sponsored the Korean Chuseok festival and allowed people to use their restrooms. How generous of them. My friend and I went inside to simply check out the restaurant. It's beautiful and elegant. The associates by the front were amazingly friendly and nice. The food I saw on other diner's tables looked good. I'm going to have to go back to eat here.

Our indicators on the fresh sushi were the octopus and sweet shrimp, both were perfect. We ordered several rolls for the table including the Diablo Roll and Wagyu Roll. They both were excellent. Had my niece with us and by the amount of sushi she consumed this place was teenager approved as well Tuesday-Thursday they do Happy Hour all day and they have a ton to choose from and the prices are great. Since there were 4 of us we shared a ton. The spicy edamame was my favorite. We also tried miso soup and vegetable tempura (which was perfectly crispy). Only thing I wouldn't get again was the Shishito peppers. They needed some seasoning of some sort. The ambiance is super cute and chill and our server was great. Definitely would come back again and I know my brother will be frequenting especially cause of the great Happy Hour.
First new restaurant of 2025! Plenty of parking, clean restaurant, and front of house staff was very attentive! Love that they work as a team. Also great that they have the service button like some Korean restaurants have. Ordered quite a few different things from hot and cold appetizers, nigiri, rolls, and an entree. First dish that came out was the mentaiko creamy pasta and it was so flavorful. I could eat a full portion of that. Then two skewers, lamb and kurobuta sausage. Both juicy and nice char. Next was two rolls, negi toro and lemon roll. The rolls were outstanding if you want something simple and then tangy/refreshing. Toro uni wrap came out after and probably my favorite bite of the night. Fatty, tender, and briney! Hamachi Kama was a nice change of pace. Hot, perfectly cooked, and ponzu sauce was solid. Ordered about 6 different types of nigiri, most were good but I surprisingly liked everything else better. Fresh water eel, scallop, red snapper, hamachi, o toro, and mackerel. Will definitely be back again and maybe come for happy hour one day!
Went here at 4PM on a Friday, which was during happy hour. The restaurant was pretty empty, so it was quiet. I'm a huge fan of dim lighting, which this place has. Our server was David and he was great. Attentive, didn't make us feel rushed, and professional. We got 3 appetizers and 5 rolls which came out to $100, which isn't bad at all. So I would definitely recommend going during Happy Hour. The sushi wasn't the best that I've ever had, but it was good and satisfied my craving for sushi. Yummy food, and I would come here again.
Delicious food. The bento box was a lot of food. Too much for me. We packed up most of it and took it to go. The dining environment was relaxing and pleasant. The waitress was very nice and helpful. We got full from the appetizers but they were good. Next time we will share the bento box.

If you're not sure what to order, the Bento Box is definitely the way to go. I love that you get to try a little bit of everything, which makes it perfect for your first visit. We also ordered sushi, gyozas, a lychee fresh (which was SO good!), and one of their specialty desserts that's made by a local pastry chef. It isn't part of their regular menu, but if they have it when you visit, don't skip it. It was absolutely worth it. The restaurant has a cozy, traditional Asian atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel really authentic. Everyone was kind and welcoming, and the service was great from start to finish. Overall, everything we tried was delicious, and I'd definitely come back. They've got a huge variety of dishes they serve. From yakitori to fresh fish, from beets to craft cocktails. And the quality of every dish is high! That why we keep coming back. I love their skewers with sausage! They are so juicy and tasty. Tried their baked mussels that were topped in creamy sauce. Any rolls you order here will be tasty and fresh. Service has been always great. The decor at this restaurant deserves a separate attention. read more

First and foremost, I will say that the interior of the restaurant is beautiful. You can tell that the owners put thought it the type of tables and chairs and decorations to be pleasing to the eyes. The service was phenomenal. Our server was attentive, had an amazing attitude towards our requests, and made the experience pleasurable. In regards of the sushi and dishes, I would say overall it was delicious. The uni pasta was creamy and not fishy at all. The Nigiri were decently sized and rice to fish ratio was pretty good. Definitely not a place where they give you more rice than fish. The only dish I would not recommend here is the chicken karage. My husband and I were really disappointed that it just felt like a thicker chicken nugget and would not recommend. But all in all, a great experience. read more

Tried Leezakaya with friends and here are my thoughts. The decor and ambiance is very nice with several areas for tables. There is a bar and a sushi bar where patrons can sit as well. The food is Japanese pub style with sushi and other traditional items The cocktails were good. The less impressive was the service. It took a long time for a server to get our order in (unsure if they were understaffed). Then the food came out way too quickly as we ordered appetizers and entrees and they didn't give time to finish appetizers before mains were served. This made our table overly crowded. Hopefully they can figure out this for future visits. The bento box I ordered was very filling. Next time I'd skip appetizers and just get an entree as the portions were much larger than expected. There is plenty of parking as they have their own lot and overflow for the strip mall adjacent. read more

I have visited Leezakaya a handful of times since they opened. While the food is still good, it's definitely not as good as it used to be. On our recent visit, we ordered regular edamame and there was random individual ramen noodles hiding within the pods. While it wasn't really an issue for me, it could be for someone who has an allergy. I do like that they add sugar to their soybeans. Their lychee fresh martini is pretty tasty. Definitely a must get during happy hour. I'd probably skip the $1.50 oysters, they left a lot to be desired. Definitely needed something more. The tako wasabi is still as good as the first time. Lunch menu is a good deal. I really enjoyed their negitoro don, however it doesn't come with uni anymore and that's disappointing considering the menu still states it does. When I asked the server about it he said that it never came with uni. I wasn't going to argue about it. Service was really good on this last visit. He was very attentive. As many reviews have stated, the ambiance is beautiful. Very clean and modern. There really isn't anything similar in the area, so I'd definitely give it a visit. read more

This restaurant is gorgeous! I wish I ate my meal here, but elected for take out given I was dining alone. The Tonkatsu ramen was expensive but loaded with goodies with made it seem like a bit of a better deal than other places. It contained a full soft boiled egg that was perfectly jammy and a generous portion of cha siu. I did add some dashi to the broth when I got home, and it was perfect with that addition. The shrimp tempura was perfect, and I liked how it was served on a bed of tempura to munch on. The gyoza was awesome, and tasted homemade. Definitely get the gyoza! They forgot to include the Miso Black Cod that I ordered, which I was super disappointed about since it's one of my favorite dishes. Overall, I really enjoyed my food but I think dining here, as opposed to take out, would be my preference for the future. read more

I'm visiting Aurora and thought I'd give Leezakaya a try because of their reviews and it isn't far from my hotel. Loved the sushi and oysters I had at Leezakaya. 4 stars only because the speciality sushi roll selection is pretty limited. They had all the traditional one fish surrounded by rice and seaweed paper, but I counted only 7 speciality rolls. Probably great for the pure sushi enthusiast. I sat at the sushi bar but I had service from the very attentive servers. Sushi chefs were friendly and attentive. They have the most extensive Saki menu I've ever seen. The ambiance here is very nice, whether you want an intimate table or a bigger table, they have both in addition to a large sushi bar. I can imagine this place is great and lively on a Friday or Saturday evening. Lastly, they were on the high end of what I expected to pay. read more

We have visited a couple times. The food is consistently great. We had the fatty tuna, the mackerel sushi, the bento box, spicy ramen bowls, and wagyu cooked on a hot stone (a must-try!). Our server was so helpful and the food was spectacular. The owner also runs other terrific restaurants in Denver: Tofu Story and Seoul Korean BBQ and hotpot. We love these places and we think you will too. read more
This new spot in Aurora was amazing! Went here for my birthday and it was a knockout. The waiter was good though maybe a little inexperienced but didn't hamper the experience. Food was amazing... make sure to ask for a knife for the bone in steak and get the good stuff. And save the bone for your furry friend! Great spot and atmosphere. read more

We went to Leezakaya again and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish, and the food is just absolutely divine. I think its even better than before! We started with the Crazy Roll, which, while the weakest of the rolls we tried, still tasted good. Its flavors were on the lighter side, making it a decent choice for those who prefer subtlety. In contrast, the Batman Roll was a standout--packed with flavor thanks to the rich eel and creamy cheese combination that created a deliciously indulgent bite. The Kamikaze Roll, featuring spicy tuna, delivered a delightful kick with its perfectly balanced heat and fresh, vibrant flavors. The Negitoro Roll was another highlight--fresh and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The Aburi Salmon Nigiri was beautifully seared, adding a smoky richness to the buttery salmon. I was so excited to see that added to the menu. The Creamy Hotate Nigiri stood out with its luscious sauce complementing the tender scallops. The Scallop Yakitori was grilled to perfection, juicy and flavorful. And the Kumamoto Oyster was a showstopper--briny, fresh, and paired with the perfect condiments. What's even better is that they've stepped up their happy hour offerings to include an impressive variety of items, making it an even greater value! read more
Needed dinner plans on a Saturday evening which is how we ended up here. This beautiful newly opened Japanese restaurant is a must, as the upscale dining experience is worth in every way. We ordered almost everything on the happy hour menu and some items from the regular menu as well. Everything was super fresh and quality was the best you can find in Colorado. This was my first time having uni pasta and it was everything I didn't know I needed. Love the modern contemporary feel. Our server and service was top tier, as she was knowledgeable and kind. She also took the time to go over the menu with us and answer our 21 questions. Thank you for such an amazing experience. We will be regulars sooner than later. read more
Service was incredible at Leezakaya. Hostess was friendly and sat us right away, and the server was very friendly and attentive. The whole vibe of this restaurant is so cool and modern, I didn't want to leave after our meal! For an appetizer, the Jalapeño Hamachi was incredible. The quality of the fish at this restaurant is amazing. The table also ordered Gyoza (not pictured) and they were delicious as well. From the Sushi menu, I ordered Otoro sashimi (not pictured) and it was out of this world. Some of the best sashimi I have had in Colorado. For my main, I ordered Beef Yaki Soba. Personally, it was not my favorite but my husband ate it as left overs and loved it. They were very generous with the sauce, and they put Kewpie Mayo on top as well as a generous amount of bonito flakes, overall just not my type of dish. I cannot wait to go back and explore the menu some more! read more
Wow! The architecture of this place to begin with is stunning. So cool and fun to look at. The food was amazing. Filling, flavorful and fresh! The rolls were so yummy and our waiter offered excellent service and attention. The apps came out fast and the main courses were a bit slower but it seemed so only one waiter was working. However we thoroughly enjoyed the good and I highly recommend this place to all sushi lovers. read more
