M2 METHOD BY MEENAL MUJUMDAR: I started the M2 Method by Meenal a few weeks ago, and I can already feel a meaningful shift. Her assessment seemed accurate enough, but I didn't appreciate her bedside manner, the office is strange and she didn't send me home with a full plan or any information. I left wondering what exactly she had described for my lower back issues. The office itself feels a bit dirty. She kept the lights extremely dim during the initial consultation when I was just sitting in the chair, fully clothed and we were talking. (although even when she was examining me I don't think there's a need for the lights to be dim). She also asked me to explain my issues and clearly hadn't read the new patient paperwork I spent time filling out. She also called me out for being late when I first walked in, but then had me wait a few minutes in the lobby before she was ready for me. Meenal was a life saver! I did not know about this special skill and anyone whose had a baby, has had abdominal surgery, suffers from constipation, or incontinence, you would benefit hugely from this amazing hands on work. I suffered a lot before I discovered Meenal and when Stanford did not know what to do with me? The only other solution was more surgery which would leave me worse off. I thought I was going to die? I am a believer if Eastern and Western Medicine. So, the diagnostics from Standford really helped to see what I needed. After my abdominal surgeries, I could not relieve myself. My pelvic floor was so tight and I had lots of internal scar tissue from post surgery that it blocked the movement of my intestines? That's when Stanford referred me. The referral was sent and there was only one pelvic therapist? Luckily, I saw Meenal at the right time before she transitioned to her own private practice. I believe this hands on work takes time. This is what medical insurances or doctor's don't understand? It takes time to help the mind and body heal and connect. The body is super intelligent. Meenal talks you through on how to relax the body and she does her magic. It's connecting mind and body and she helps to guide and reset the body to it's natural, functional, state. My body responded to her treatment pretty fast. Again, I suffered for years, so it takes time. She also taught me how to relax my body with pelvic floor exercises. She was definitely an Angel in the beginning of my healing path. I drove far to see her, but she was worth it. Her field has grown and now there are two pelvic therapist locally in my county. Her office is super private, comfortable, clean and professional. Meenal and her receptionist, really helped speed the process in getting paper work done and all that is needed, so you can get in to be seen as soon as possible. She has so much compassion and is super kind. Meenal is definitely a trail blazer in her field and she has helped so many people of all ages. I cannot extend enough thanks to her. I consider her a dear friend now. Again, this field does not get the credit it deserves for the hands on work and skill it takes to do this work. I am forever grateful to you Meenal. STAY AWAY from this PT. It is only a money making business with no focus on ensuring you recover. I had diastisis recti and pelvic floor issues post my second pregnancy. Even though they were out of network I still scheduled an appointment because she has found a few people on one of my local mom's group that recommend her anytime there is a post asking for a pelvic floor therapist. I saw it on enough posts to think she must be good, only to later realize they were the same people posting everywhere. First appointment went well, meenal sounds very knowledgeable and speaks greatly of herself. Even though out of network she offered to file a claim and reimburse whatever the insurance pays. My insurance being gray covered it fully. She did however realize that my plan Year is ending in a couple months and that would mean i would have to meet my out of pocket maximum before insurance paid. So she continued to schedule appointments where she gave me exercises to do. During the course she even went and said my diastisis recti has gone, only to say oh it's back the next week. Talking to my cousin who is a PT said it can't go and come back, so something sounds fishy. on the day after which my out of pocket maximum was increasing , she just said we don't have to meet anymore and you can continue the exercises. At the end even after 10 appointments my diastisis recti wasn't cured, there was no guide given and what I need to continue doing, for any follow up appointment. Just felt super cheated, that she just wanted the insurance money. read more

Very chaotic experience, in hindsight I should have canceled treatment after she advised she decided to no longer accept payments from "any" insurance companies, but honestly I was desperate and determined to get better as I was in so much pain and suffering. I know life happensand I'm usually more optimistic and maybe because Meenal is a nice person. But a nice person isn't want I needed. If only I could turn back the clock. Meenal told me she was going cash pay only, this was during my second visit. Not everyone can afford to foot medical bills especially when they have insurance coverage, but it's her choice and her business, but very unprofessional and heartless of her to start treatment and then abandon a patient's care! Then my third visit she advised she wasn't seeing patients on Fridays any longer so she canceled this Friday's appointment and told me to call her assistant to reschedule.  After several days and multiple attempts, leaving messages, no response was stressful, but unprofessional for her to put that task on a patient, knowing her phone answering service had wacky hours.  Liar. Liar, pants on fire!  Apparently it slipped Meenal's mind to share that she lied to me because she says, "Meenal is fully booked that day, but I can put you on a list in the event of a cancelation."  I confirmed, "oh she is off or fully booked on that Friday? "Yes, she's fully booked and repeated but people cancel all of the time with Covid...." How unprofessional.  I would have had more respect for her as a person if she said, "Hey I have a client that can only come in on Fridays at the time you're scheduled would you be okay with scheduling a different time or day, but no she chooses to lie. Appt day, their office number is blowing up my phone, as I'm on a conference call, literally 5 minutes before I'm about to make my way to her office.  Apparently her (I think 8 yr old) daughter fell. Why her, work from home, husband wasn't sufficient enough to tend to her, I'll never know but to disregard a patient's care, even if her daughter had to go to the hospital, which she did not, they would only allow one parent in. The reason I'm so pissed is at our next appt I asked her how her daughter was doing, she frowned and said what do you mean?  I guess that old saying liars forget their lies, is true. More chaos, my last appt I got a call saying that they made a mistake on the date that they were no longer accepting my type of insurance, it was in fact the day before my last scheduled appt and so they chose to cancel my last appt. I have to admit I was pretty pissed off and I asked her to ask Meenal to call me. I couldn't believe they canceled the day of my appt again.  Meenal did call me, but was arrogant and rushing the conversation because she was going out of town, coincidentally leaving early, when in fact I was supposed to be in her office during this time and conversation.  I let her know I'd be sharing my experience with my (awesome) referring doctor. Meenal asked me not to but I'm sorry you cannot dump this much stress onto a patient's life or be so arrogant when it comes to a person's well-being and think someone will just accept a hollow apology, this was after I said you never even apologized for all of this chaos. Things I've learned about Treatment: after now working w/ two other therapist I realize how aggressive Meenal actually is.  I would leave there in more pain than I had prior to coming in!  Now I'm seeing a different therapist ONCE a week, whereas Meenal had me twice a week and the new therapist isn't torturing me and I'm improving and not suffering after treatments. All in all the lesson I've learned here is that it doesn't matter what profession a business is in, or what service they provide, if they don't put the patient's care first don't waste your time.  It's not worth it! Life is too short to surround yourself or interact with people who suck the little bit light out of your soul, especially when your having to get treatment for such a personal prive painful therapy. She should have been more caring. Meenal my wish is that you absorb this feedback and get coaching on how to connect and provide exceptional care because it's not fair the negativity you added into my life. I wish you only good luck in your business but this was too much chaos for me to not share. read more

I started seeing Meenal January 2023. This was after a year of pelvic pain. I went with Meenal originally because she was able to slot me in soon and the cost out of pocket was affordable compared to others. It is still expensive, but when others start at $300, the price of $225 per session out of pocket was acceptable. I do continue to pay out of pocket each time, but learned about gap exceptions and was able to get reimbursements from my healthcare insurance provider. Meenal and Kay provided support and doctor notes so that my insurance would approve the gap exception request. My pelvic pain was intense to the point where my gynecologist was unable to examine me without causing extreme pain. I saw my gynecologist in April 2023 after seeing Meenal for three months. Even the doctor was amazed by my progress! It still hurts, not going to lie, but it way better than the year I suffered prior to seeing Meenal. I was able to progress quickly in my healing thanks to Meenal's hands on physical therapy + the at home stretches she recommended. You can't skip out on your at home homework. You have to do it everyday. It's a pain, but you can't expect to go in once a week and be magically cured over time. You go once a week so Meenal can help you progress in your healing just a bit more and then you do your at home exercises so you can maintain your level of progress until the next time. I have not found scheduling to be difficult. It's better if you schedule in advance so you have more options. You can book multiple sessions in advance. I always found Kay and Meenal very helpful if I needed to reschedule or cancel because of a cold. 24 hours prior to each session, I get a text and email notifying me of my appointment time and date. If you do need to reschedule or cancel, you need to do it at least 24 hours in advance otherwise you will be charged. There was one occasion in which I overslept and unfortunately missed my appointment, but that was on me. I woke up to several calls and voicemails from Meenal's office so they do check in on you. Twice I had time before my appointment so I asked if I could come early. Meenal was very flexible and since she also had free time, she was able to see me early and I was able to avoid traffic going back home. I drive 30 minutes one way to be able to see Meenal, but it's been so worth it to be able to get back to a healthy version of me. I tried two other physical therapy clinics that offers pelvic floor therapy, but those were hands off. All they did was watch me do the exercises and I had to come in twice a week. I did not find any improvements in that. You really need the hands on work with Meenal to progress. Overall, I have a good experience and will continue seeing Meenal. She is a joy to talk to! Hands on pelvic floor therapy leaves you in a very vulnerable state so it's important for me to have someone I can trust and build good rapport with. I appreciate the conversations we have and the education Meenal provides while she is working on me so I can also understand and learn what is happening. read more

I started with Ms. Mujumdar some time ago while waiting for an opening in pelvic floor PT at Kaiser. As luck had it, there was suddenly a cancellation at Kaiser just at that same time. The Kaiser PT was very heavily booked, so I was glad to have additional PT. As a result, I was able to compare, and for me the comparison was unfavorable. In my case at least there was no home program with Ms. Mujumdar, which to me is a definite negative, and her efforts tended to cause muscle spasms in the area where she worked. When I mentioned this to my Kaiser PT she said no, this should not be painful nor cause you to have muscle spasms, and demonstrated gentler technique. I also found the appointments and billing experience chaotic, as has been mentioned by others. read more
