Instead asked some questions and ran with part of my answer and just gave us a quote for that project instead of the one we described. He wanted to do a bigger project, so asked questions to that end because apparently fixing my small deck wasn't worth it for them. I don't know if his pricing was fair because the other company came out and actually listened to what we wanted and then gave us an estimate for exactly what we wanted. I asked if the wood on our deck could be saved. Immediate no (even though he said current store wood is worse quality than when this deck was built as a means to emphasize the benefits of composite at an earlier point in the convo). Made me feel guilty for being honest that we would be getting a couple of bids to compare. I was being honest to say that we were trying to do due diligence. His attitude changed and he emphasized at multiple points after that the free work he was doing by giving me an estimate. Their business model is to come into your home and provide pictures and product samples and then write up the quote then and there. I just wanted a guy to come out, look, and email me the quote. Instead it was a lengthy process . Seemed like an old-style sales approach. Also, they wanted both owners to be home and he seemed annoyed that it was just me...but we literally just wanted a quote, so no my spouse was not going to take off work for an estimate. Overall just weird energy and a strange experience! And I've had plenty of bids/estimates for projects around the house including, house painting, fence installation, deck repair, etc. Tl;dr - didn't listen to what we wanted. Up-sold. Appointment took forever. Not a good vibe.

The owner went above and beyond to address the concerns of my mom, who can be very particular in her concerns. The crew was polite, efficient, and they kept the work area tidy. Overall, the crew reflected the excellent customer service modeled by their owner. The workman ship was outstanding. There was a big gate needed for the back driveway that was going to be difficult for anyone to engineer. They installed it to the best of their ability, but the owner drove by and saw it and he wasn't satisfied with how it looked, so they re-engineered it so that it looked better while maintaining functionality, ALL FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE! This company was extremely competitive in their pricing. The customer service and quality of workmanship is top-notch. The high quality of character in an owner who would come back to correct a completed project because it didn't meet his criteria is simply unheard of. I would enthusiastically recommend this company to anyone.

My wood deck was on it's last leg and Rick Miller (owner) recommended a stamped concrete patio instead of replacing with another deck - I would never have thought of that option, but Rick had a vision that was perfect for my home. I've always wondered why decks and retaining walls were a bit pricey but after observing first-hand, I now understand - it's a lot of work (I included some pictures below to demonstrate the level of work involved) A special thanks to Tony and Mike for an awesome job on the retaining wall and stamped concrete patio, and also Mark and Mike for the lighting and railing etc!!! The fine craftsmanship of a custom window install by Maris Home Improvements:…read more -Two windows Maris replaced on back of house where no eave is present had window wrap caulked to siding and no aluminum rain caps. Caulk failed prior to first heavy rain. -Slider on back of house also lacked an aluminum rain cap and caulk when payment was requested for a completed job. I called and Maris came out and caulked. No capping on slider. -"Installation includes all caulking/aluminum capping-where needed" is stated on the Maris contract. -First heavy rain 3 weeks after install I had heavy water running down the sheathing and interior foundation wall below one window where caulk failed, and wrap was catching water. -Maris paid for Servpro water remediation to dry up the water and do a flood cut after I requested it. Maris and I agreed to have Alside's warranty contractor detail and repair all the issues from my install in April 2024. See after picture of the water intrusion window where an aluminum rain cap was never installed. Window was taped.

Willie at Gallagher is a straight up con man and lied about everything from siding to gutter guards. #3. Gallagher uses all unvetted illegal labor on your home. The horrendous job completed by them resulted in over 40 different issues excluding the fact that they did not waterproof my house by replacing the Tyvek and blatantly lied to my face about it. I had them pull back the siding and could see the results, they apologized and replaced the entire job after much deliberation. #4. They (Willie) went out of their way to show me these beautiful aluminum gutter guards and had me hold them showing me what was going on my house. They tore off all of my perfectly fine gutter guards and replaced them with cheap crap that blows off constantly all over my house. #5. When contacting Gallagher attempting to speak to the owner, he blocked me. When I requested that they either follow through with what was promised or replace what I had before they ever touched them, they EXTORTED me for an additional $1,700. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT HIRE THIS SHADY COMPANY.

Bought some cabinets from Menards and boy was it hard to install. But Nicholas was a joy to work with. He didn't rush and scrimp on quality. He made sure to take his time and ensure the cuts and measurements were correct. And he is very honest as well. What was supposed to be a 2 day install, he was upfront, and immediately told us he needed more time. Which we are glad he told us. So we extended the project for another day. Overall, happy that we worked with Nicholas. He even gave us a discount. Despite the extension.
