I was searching for a cleaners close to home to wash a very large, plush bed spread. Mega cleaners happened to be right down the street, and offered same day pickup. I had been calling around to other cleaners and the estimated time for a comforter was about 5 days and I didn't want to wait, so I gave this place a go. I dropped my comforter, along with 5 shirts off at the cleaners. $30 and $20 for five shirts seemed a little steep but, she insisted they did a good job. My pick up was Monday, and I was happy about that. I sent my dad to pick up my laundry and apparently my name was put into system incorrectly so they couldn't find my items. Thank goodness I had my receipt with my invoice number or I'm not sure what would have happened. Shirts were nicely pressed, but my problem was the bed spread... it didn't smell fresh, and it was EXTREMELY staticky... it honestly didn't smell nice at all, I'm questioning if it was even washed... Went to get my pants hemmed, was charged extra because of the material which I was fine paying extra. When I showed up to get the pants, they were not sewn all the way around. The cuff that I didn't ask for, but they thought I asked for was left loose. I've never seen such a terrible hemming job in my life. read more

Took in 2 suits and 2 shirts this past week: I suit had a tear in the pants 1 shirt had black marks on the chest and cuff. I was delighted to find Mega cleaners within walking distance of my new condo. I took two shirts to them for dry cleaning. When I picked the shirts up and got them home, I noticed they had not been pressed well. They were pretty badly wrinkled. The next time I went to Mega cleaners to have the shirts cleaned, I asked them to be more careful with the pressing. When I picked the shirts up, one was well pressed, the other was not, so I asked them to re-press the one shirt. They said they would. A couple of days later, when I picked up the shirt, I found it was still badly wrinkled. It looked like they hadn't done anything to it. I mentioned it to the man behind the counter who gave me a look like I was crazy. I took the shirt out of the plastic bag and showed him the wrinkles and creases in the shirt. He continued to give me a dirty, "you're crazy" look. I took the shirt and told him I wouldn't be back. How easy it would have been for him to simply smile and re-press the shirt for me. I usually never do negative reviews on anything, but my experience with Mega Cleaners has compelled me to jump on Yelp for the first time to offer my thoughts. They have three locations and at their one location on Eastern Avenue, I was a VIP member - someone who has clothes cleaned regularly at the location and as a result, offered a discount and an expedited drop off experience (they give us green drawstring bags for quick drop offs). As usual, had a drop off earlier last month. It included a couple custom suits and several dress shirts. Came back shortly thereafter and they couldn't find the entire order. The person employed at the front counter allowed me to help search in the back for my items to no avail. She stated that she would reach out to the owner and see if my items were accidently sent to another location and that I should follow up. I thought no big deal. Following up today, I walked in and when they looked up my account - there was no record. In fact, most of our transactions weren't even entered or most likely deleted. I gave dates of when they were dropped off and when I came to pick them up - even asking if they could review security footage from their cameras when they responded that there was no footage to retrieve. My mistake and the flaw in the VIP program is that when you drop your bag off, there is no receipt. You are trusting that they take care of your items as you are a valued customer (lesson: get a receipt anyway). Well, knowing that I had no receipt and knowing that even if I had one, the cleaners would never replace the items lost/taken, I went to visit the main location to meet with the owner to simply ask if I could take a look at items that haven't been picked up to see if my items could have made their way to that grouping. He wouldn't let me look nor did he ask any questions to help identify my items. He simply didn't care. I was calm and straightforward - stating that I didn't want money or credits -- just wanted to see if I could find my items. As they are all custom to fit me, it would be easy to prove they were my items. He didn't budge nor did he offer any assistance in looking for my clothes. There wasn't even an apology. From a customer service standpoint, the owner could have faked that he cared and asked what was missing. He didn't even bother. I have spoken to other customers and many have shared similar challenges. Some have had their items lost/taken and only offered credits for future cleanings at a fraction of the missing items value. Some have shared that they were told of outstanding invoices yet, they have to pay to get their clothes so how could money be owed. At first, I thought it could be incompetent or criminal front-line employees at one location, but after my interaction with the owner at the main location, it's evident that he doesn't care. That type of leadership allows an environment where clothing goes missing and money and records disappear. Your wardrobe is an investment. These people should not be trusted and know that when they make mistakes, there is no accountability. No apology. Use them with high caution. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I live in Seven Hills and have been coming to this cleaner for years, but within the last couple of years the work has gone steadily downhill. Now when I bring clothes in they come up with more spots and stains than when they went in. Recently I took a two-piece suit in that had a beige lining and it came out red, I also brought a silk shirt of my wife's in that was lilac in color and it was returned with blue spots all over it. Owner just stands there and goes "I fix, I fix" and most of the female staff are very unfriendly as well, so needless to say we won't be going here anymore and we're so happy to see a new dry cleaner go in across Saint Rose in the new Plaza on Spencer. read more

I feel like we just got punked. My boyfriend came here to have his belt fixed and it was supposed to be done by a particular date (it wasn't). When he went in to pick it up, he was told he would have one free shirt cleaning for the inconvenience. When we went back in to pick the belt up the second time, we clarified that we still had the offer of one free shirt cleaning and the guy working the front refused the offer! Then we pointed out another employee who was there at the time the courtesy cleaning was offered, she verified we did in fact get offered a free cleaning and the guy walked away and wouldn't speak to us. Like a child throwing a temper tantrum. Rock solid customer service. Two thumbs up for you. read more

This was my first time using this place. It's next door to where I get my nails done, so it was pretty convenient to drop things off when I get my mani/pedi. I WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN. My experience: I dropped 15 pieces of clothes off and was promised a pick up time the following Monday. There was also a "bogo" on blouses. They told me the discount would be applied when I paid. I showed up on Monday to get my clothes and only half of them were ready. I needed my work clothes, so I had no choice but to pick up what was ready and return later. They made me pay the entire order up front. Fine. That's normal. I had forgotten my order ticket, so when they brought up the one they had, this was was for $15 dollars more than my original order and said I had two extra dresses. Apparently I had clothes magically appear over there. I told the woman that this was incorrect and she told me to bring my original ticket in and they would credit me back when I picked up the rest of my clothes. Fine. I go back with my original ticket to pick up the rest of my clothes and I deal with either the Manager or the owner-either way, he did NOT speak English. He insisted that the second recepit was correct despite the original ticket I showed him. I told him that there was NO way two extra pieces had been added to my ticket. He had the audacity to CALL ME CRAZY and again showed me that two extra dresses were added. WHERE DID THIS COME FROM?! He ended up shoving my clothes in my arms and walked away...because this is apparently how you deal with customers who have an issue, right? I ended up calling my credit card company and they dealt with it for me. EITHER WAY, won't be goign back and I suggest you don't go either. read more

Took my down comforter in to get dry cleaned and not only did it smell like dirty feet when I received it but I did not get my original comforter back. The one I received was stained and has multiple holes in it. I'm very upset my down comforter was very expensive. read more

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS! If you do, you do so at your own risk. I had an expensive blanket to clean and trusted Mega Cleaners to fix it. I turned it in to them. When I later returned to pick it up, the blanket was fried. It was literally 'crispy' to the touch. They are unprofessional, and shouldn't be handling expensive material. Been coming here for a few times a month since the beginning of the year. I probably had at least dry cleaned at least 15 items. All of them have always been dry cleaned beautifully and the prices are affordable/reasonable for the area. I never experienced buttons missing from blazers, and items are always returned back to me bagged/papered. This place is awful!! We'd been going for a year until they lost my husband's 2 uniform work shirts. The owner spent an hour looking for them and no luck. They carry no claim forms so if they ruin or lose something forget it. The owner scribbled an IOU on our claim check. We bought 3 new ones for over a $100. The next day Mega found the shirts and when I went in to claim the shirts I was charged. We will NEVER go back. You'd be better going somewhere else. They care nothing for the customer! read more

This Place has a hard time with customer service! They over charge on their work and don't communicate with the customers as well as they should as to what they will charge! When my girlfriend dropped off my pants to have them hemmed, they were not clear as to how much it would cost? With both the owner/manager and the employees not speaking English very well!!! It is real hard to communicate with them, or understand them when they tell you what it will cost? I had a receipt that had some charges on it, but what they had on it didn't add up to the actual total price and couldn't explain it clearly as to why?? OVER CHARGED BOTTOM LINE!! Please DO NOT take your clothes here to get dry cleaned. We have taken two pairs of men's dress shorts to get a pleat put down the front and somehow end up with three pleats EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Not sure if they just don't know what a pleat is or don't take the time to actually listen to what their customers want. It's really not that complicated of a request and it's not hard to do. This place ruined my favorite blouse (Diane von Furstenberg) that was gifted to me by my husband on my birthday. The owner never apologized for the damage. He said due to high drying temperatures used in the dry-cleaning process, the blouse color faded or lose. Never bring your expensive clothes to have it dry clean at this place as they are very unreliable with their service. This is the 2nd time they ruined my clothes. We are glad we found another dry cleaning service which have a very reasonable price, take good care of your clothes and provide excellent service. read more

I wish I could give a zero. Took in my multi-colored Calvin Klein dress in to be dry cleaned. I specifically said to color block the dress and they didn't. When I get it back the black edges were bled into the white of the chest and back panel, but on top of that it was cover in grease stains that were from spaghetti or lasagna and had a hole in the collar. When I showed him the damage he said he would fix it. The only thing he did was take the bleed stains out but even more grease stains were on the dress. The dress has never been around food and the white panel is now beige with a white splotch where he started whitening it and then stopped. I told him there were more stains and asked how he was going to fix it he said I brought it in with the stains and that he already tried fixing it. The dress is only used for interviews!!! Not to mention my black suit that I also took in was given back to me covered in white dog fur and I was given attitude when I asked him to run the lint roller over it. $20 for a damaged dress and a fur covered suit. It's a family owned business and we have been going to them for services for a long time. My husband and I both use this store for dry cleaning and alteration services and they have never disappoint. I highly recommend their service as they don't just treat you like one of the customers, they do know you by your name and already has items prepared before you can walk in the door. Even when I moved to the opposite side of town, I continued to bring my clothes here, making the drive across town to drop it off and to pick it up again, because I am a loyal customer. It's been 3 times now that I pointed out a stain when dropping off, they did place a sticker on it, but when I picked it up-it was not clean! So they offered to redo, but I had to make the drive again! This happened 3 times already. They do not clean well enough! One time the stitching came apart from their cleaning on my business jacket. I pointed it out when I came to pick it up. They took it back and said they will try again. When I picked it up, the stitching was visible from the outside of my sleeve, it was supposed to be inner stitching on a business jacket. Another issue: seeing $8.99 charge for 1 "long dress". So I finally asked what they consider a short dress vs long one and if it's cheaper for a short dress. They told me if it's at the knee or above then it's a short dress and it's $6.99 ( And that's exactly what I came to pick up and was charged for a long one!). At the same time I picked up my clothes that day, I dropped off 2 more things ( one of them being another knee length business dress)-so they printed me a ticket for a LONG DRESS again! I pointed it out, so they reprinted the ticket. It's not about $2 per dress for 2 dresses that day, I've been hauling stuff across town, loyal customer for 4-5 years and I've been charged $8.99 instead of $6.99 so so so many times over the years! I don't like being overcharged, taken advantage off. And although it was fixed when I discovered the overcharge, but there was no apology, not 1 word. The attitude was like they didn't care if I came back or not, if I continued giving them business. I am sure if I did come back they would keep overcharging again and again. No customer appreciation for loyalty, no customer service. They will only redo something if you complain. One of my jackets has odd stains on the back after the cleaning that didn't have before the cleaning UGH.... Time to take my business elsewhere.
