After taking my business clothes to them over the las 4 or so years their quality has gone down. I have returned several pieces for having stains not treated and even burned garments. The last straw was that after returning one shirt which was not laundered properly they washed it but did not press it and dumped it in the dirty laundry bag. I brought this issue up to the Mgr who blamed me for using the shirt and expecting it to be redone free. They lost a customer. Be warned. Im not going back to the chain again. I noticed there haven't been many current reviews for this store in Anthem Village, Henderson so I thought I'd provide one. After a year and a half as a customer here, I decided to send my dry cleaning work to other nearby cleaners. Although the employees at this Thrift-D-Lux store have always been friendly and professional and the dry cleaning comes back quickly, something changed over the past 3 months. I noticed my dry cleaning bills have jumped dramatically along with "upcharges" for garments that usually have a single firm charge. According to this store, the brand or fabric of the garment can cause the cleaning price to jump significantly. I tried to find a price list on their website. No luck. There is also no price list posted anywhere in the store. So, customers have no clear idea of what their dry cleaning costs will be until they get the bill. Apparently, the word "transparency" isn't in the company's vocabulary. Time to take my business and friends elsewhere. read more

Heads up people. This place is now charging 25-50% more if your dry cleaning has a 'high end' label on it. Meaning it's not about the material or how dirty it is, it's about the label. Your Calvin Klein dress will cost you 25% more and the exact same dress with a Gucci label 50% more, even if it's 100% polyester. Pricing is ridiculous at this place. Avoid. read more

Absolutely love this place! They were super fast and I love how they texted when it was done and how you can track your item as they are working on it. I got my LARGE winter comforter done and it turned out amazing! And they even put it I a nice comforter carrying case! I loved getting that because it was perfect to store it. Quick, friendly and efficient service. Loved the convenience of same day service. If you drop off by 8am, you can pick up after 5pm. This use to be a free service but there was a sign noting a new $0.50 surcharge for same day effective 6/19/17. Otherwise the standard is next day service which doesn't suck either. Honestly, the $0.50 surcharge is not a terrible price to pay for same day service for convenience if you needed that option. The prices here are good and fair. read more

Where is the common sense? I went in after my washer broke with a load of laundry. I called ahead to see if they wash and fold and they said yes. So the girl starts counting my laundry items and said "oh we charge by the piece not the pound." Ok fine I have 53 items all tshirts, pajamas, shorts etc. nothing that needs to be hung up starched. So when I get there they charged me $3.00 an item!!!! Over $150 for a load of laundry!! I could not believe that they did not disclose that each item would be $3.00 each when they knew and saw what I was dropping off. How on earth do you not mention to someone that it's going to be that expenive? I would have taken my laundry somewhere else. STAFF IS SO PLEASANT! I knew this had to be a good place when happy, friendly teens work there accepting dry cleaning from the elderly population of Anthem! Kathy (manager) must treat them well and offer a swell work environment...I mean what teen WANTS to work at a dry cleaners!? I've been going here for a year now and am thrilled with the value; so affordable and you get same day service if you drop off by 9am. They have coupons on the website that save you a ton (over time) because they allow one coupon with EVERY incoming order, not just for "new customers". ALWAYS print/photocopy your coupons for the month! I have brought in giant comforters and had alterations done too - success with both. My husband once had some discoloration to his white sports jersey - but I didn't bring it to the staffs attention and assumed it was a goner...a few hours later sweet "east coast Kathy" called and said she noticed the discolored areas and wanted me to know that she will give it extra treatment. When I arrived to pick up, she ran to the item, torn open the bag, and inspected it - as if it were her own prize possession. To my surprise, stain gone! I searched Yelp for the best place near to me, and this location fit the bill. I have been in here a lot recently, and it is always a pleasant experience. People are always greeted as they walk through the door, even if others are being assisted at the time. I have everything marked as 'dry clean only' in my profile, and items typically come back to me the next evening. On their website, you may print out a coupon to bring in at the time you drop off your clothing. This is a nice touch. I dropped off my dry cleaning here, 13 pieces exactly and was quoted a flat $3.50 per item. I go to pick up my dry cleaning today and the guy wearing a cartoon mask says $60. WTF! Where did the extra $15 come from. I ask him for a price list and he says there isn't one and there isn't one on the website either. I tell him that's not what I was quoted and he says we charge extra for some things. Hey Thrifty-DLux you can't SCAM your customers like this! I will never be back! I don't know why I always drove much farther and paid so much more for dry cleaning and alterations before I came across this place! While other places would charge at least $40-80 for a basic bridesmaid's dress hem, I paid only in the $20 range and it was finished in 3 business days. I pay around $12 for my husband's full suit including jacket and tie, and paid around $20 for our goose down comforter when we have paid ridiculous prices elsewhere. There are also coupons online but you have to print them out and bring them at drop off. So thankful to have tried them and will continue to go back! read more

I decided to try Thrift-D-Lux cleaners because they are 2 miles from our house. All of the ladies were very professional and nice when I dropped off my suits Friday evening. I was excited that they offered 24 hour service. My suits were ready Saturday afternoon. Which was amazing!!! Unfortunately, my black suits were substantially faded and had lint everywhere. I had an awful experience here the other day, and I feel a responsibility to warn others to avoid this place. This cleaners is closest to my house so I dropped two coats off here to be cleaned. I dropped them off early in the morning on Tuesday and was told they would be ready after 6pm. I came in THE NEXT DAY at 5:06pm and was told that my items were not ready. I didn't say anything, but I know what the cashier told my the previous day, and he told me it would be ready THAT DAY, Tuesday, at 6pm. So I went and ran a couple errands and made it back there at 6:59pm. I came to the door because the open sign was still lit but, wouldn't you know, the door was locked. There were three people talking at the counter(and by people I mean kids, all of them were no more than 16-18 years old) and a boy made eye contact with me and just shook his head and mouthed "no". Wtf. Anyway I didn't make a fuss, I just won't be returning to give my business to them ever again. I'd rather drive another minute up the street than go here again. That was just terrible, poor customer service. But, I didn't really expect much from a bunch of high schoolers. Way to save a buck, boss man. Been going here since we moved to Henderson over a year ago, but I'm done. It's convenient to our house, but today is the second time I found a broken zipper. I understand things happen, but to not mention it is unacceptable. And the pressing of shirts has been getting progressively worse. They actually folded my placemats in half! I shouldn't have to tell them to leave them flat. Plus, I've asked repeatedly not to have the stupid twist ties on my hangers, yet they keep doing it. Too many other dry cleaners in the area to try and see if they are better. Shouldn't be too hard. 4/1/17: Okay, I went back. The Village cleaners was charging twice what TDL does. I'm cheap. Oh well. I really hate to bump this place down to two stars but I must. I brought in seven pairs of my husbands pants to be cleaned. We have used this dry cleaner for a year with zero issues. When I got home, I noticed a few pairs were pressed incorrectly so the pants had two pleats down the front. They were nice about it when I brought them back in and said it would be no charge to fix them. So, I dropped off and picked up again and the same thing happened again with two pairs! First of all I want to start off by saying that my family has been in the dry cleaning business for over 65 years. And I have wirkef every station in the business. As a business owner I am very conscientious of customer service. This cleaners,for the price , does a great job and I have been satisfied for many years coming to this location. However yesterday I brought in two items to be cleaned plus a full laundry bag full of hangers that I wanted to recycle with them. I put them on the counter and said this bag is full of hangers and I don't think that they're going to fit in your bin. The girl at the counter said "you can just put them in the bins" and one of the other girls said we will do it for you and the other girl said again no you can put it in the bin. Now I'm bringing hangers back so they don't have to buy new hangers. I'm 65 years old and I've I wasn't treated very well. I was looked at like "you don't expect me to do that do you?" I know these girls and guys Have a tip jar on the counter and I always put in a few bucks for them and tease teasing them saying here is some cash for the beer fund. Now when I went to put the hangers away I dropped a few on the floor as customers were coming in and they looked at me strangely and I was embarrassed. Then went home and decided I'm going to call the manager because I'm going to want to let them know before I go and make a complaint on yelp about this. When I called I was informed that the manager works from 7 AM till noon and that if I wanted to talk to him I should call back at that time. I asked if I could talk to the owner and they told me that they were corporate owned so there was no owner. And again I asked her "so are you instructed that if somebody wants to talk to the manager that you are instructed to tell the customer that they should call back between the hours of 7 AM until noon? She told me yes. So while I will continue to bring my clothes in because I'm not unhappy with the cleaning but I will not give a tip anymore and I will give the tips and the hangers to charity. read more

I have used this cleaners a few times since moving to Anthem. I've had both cleaning and alterations done, at what I consider a fair price. Today I picked up my cleaning and the charge to alter a simple A-line dress had doubled. When I pointed it out to the cashier she said dresses were more expensive than skirts???? Hum....Anyway, I would not recommend this cleaners, but if you do go...get a price up front. And, if you use a coupon, make sure they take it off right away as they won't take it off later. I had a business trip planned for a Monday, and bought some new slacks and button ups the Friday before. I dropped them off Saturday, the staff was very friendy and reassured me I would have them back by Sunday at 3pm. I had unexpected plans come up Sunday and called them to see if I could get my pants early. Again the very pleasant staff told me there truck comes in by 3pm and if it came in earlier they would call. I recievd a call at 130pm that my clothes were ready...now for the not so good, had I checked my slacks before I left I would have noticed a double crease down the side on all 5 pair. My shirts were as requested, nice with light starch. I ended up ironing all my slacks in the hotel room Monday evening. Dont know if I will go back. I am partial to dry cleaners that do it on site, not farm them out. read more

This location is convenient. We've been going for quite some time. We always present their coupon. At least 50% of the time, the clerks fail to take off the coupon. They will not refund when it is pointed out the coupon was not taken off. The manager has taken the attitude this is a waste of her time. It seems to be this stores practice to refund the difference next time customer comes in (meaning we have monitor their mistake) We will go in one more to collect our refund, and we will be looking for a new cleaner read more
