Sunflower Cleaners is a small family owned cleaner very close to my house which is the main reason I utilize their services when I need them. I've used them for 3+ years and they're A-OK in my book.. Cleaning & Alterations: I've brought in some pants to be shortened and Sunflower has done a good job of giving me exactly what I requested. Cleaning and pressing of shirts is $3.99 a shirt which is pricey for me. However, I've never had an issue and everything has been returned to me damage free, cleaned and pressed well. Service: The staff has been very friendly and pleasant on every visit. The turnaround times for cleaning and pressing of shirts is about 2-3 business days depending on their volume. Alterations has been 3-5 business days. They offer expedited services but I've never had a need to use them. If I was wearing suits to work daily like I did back in the day, I might consider looking elsewhere because of the price but fortunately that's not the case. They're pricey for me but consistent with their high quality cleaning and the convenient location is a major factor to why I come back here when necessary. I have been using sunflower for about 8 years now for both personal and work related dry cleaning. While they have always been prompt on service and have never let me down just recently I had my worst stain on one of my uniform shirts. I had just purchased a brand new shirt for work and a pen leaked in the pocket. I wasn't sure what to do so I left the stain alone until I got home and took it to them. I have NEVER had such an awful horrible experience with any business in my life, We brought in my fiancés wedding suit to hem the pants and the women who owns the place basically convinced us to dry clean the suit and said it would look better, we gave in and let them and when we picked up the suit ALL the color was out of his vibrant unique suit! What's worse is they wouldn't even refund us the $20 we spent on this over $1200 suit, I kept showing her pictures of it before and after and she rudely said "why would you spend that much money on a suit" and "I don't see a difference we followed the tag instructions" I looked inside the jacket and it said "NO dry cleaning" so they lied and left us with no suit for my now husband two weeks out, and I had matched everything to his suit, no apology no empathy just shrugged their shoulders to say oh well. I saw this business driving by a few times and decided to give them a try instead of my usual cleaners. The business is clean and well run and the couple running it are extremely nice. They are thorough and my items were done in time and a few items were early which was amazing! They even got ink pen stains out that the other place could not. Family owned business who cares about their customers. Dropped off four suits for a upcoming business trip on a Monday, had to pick up before they closed on Saturday, 5:30pm. At 6pm Saturday I realized I forgot to pick up my suits. Called them in a panic and explained the situation. The owner told me to come by and he will open back up to give me my suits. Wow!! I think this place is great! My husband is not the neatest eater, and will always drip red wine or pasta sauce on his white silk shirts any chance he gets. They will clean the garment multiple times, if that what it takes to get it clean! I always get my dry cleaning back smelling fresh and like new. Zero stars if I could. The one star is for the gentleman who was nice when I went to drop off my 2 dresses (press only) one of them being the most important for a gala event the next day. Only reason I brought here (other cleaners had better pricing) was because of their fast turnaround which now I know why it was so fast. Next morning I stop by and this woman was there who was beyond unprofessional and plain rude. She proceeded to place the dresses on rack (expected me to take them & leave immediately) but as any normal customer I wanted to inspect the job. I proceeded to open plastic bag and grabbed my gown and she said rudely "What are you looking for?" I said "wrinkles" she then said "you can barely see them" No they were very noticeable, so I asked her if she can steam those out. She said "all machinery is put away on Saturdays" I'm thinking then why are they open on Sat? She then went on saying that they were supposed to charge me more $$ and questioning me who was there that gave me the price. Her responses were unacceptable for any customer that is paying for a job that was half way done. I just decided to leave, was not going to leave any reviews about this place until....I got home and saw my 2nd dress. It was full of wrinkles across the entire bottom (this was a short dress, so she couldn't blame this on the plastic bag knot) in addition, it was damaged with fuzzy pilling all over! I trusted this place with my brand new expensive dresses for an important event and ruined one of them and inconvenienced me. I could have steam them myself and done a much better job without damaging my dresses, but since I wanted a professional for perfect results I decided to go here. What a huge mistake, I ended up having to go buy another dress to wear that night. The woman on the counter was just plain unprofessional and treated me like she was doing me a favor and these were free services. NO lady I OVERPAID for services that were NOT COMPLETED and you damage one item, you kept my money and were rude to me. Will warn everyone else to stay away from this place, because if you cannot do the simplest job which is take care of wrinkles on a garment, I don't wanna know what you are doing with the dry cleaning of items. read more

We've been coming to Sunflower for years...pretty much since they opened. Primarily, my wife and I just have our work uniforms cleaned, but we have had other items serviced and several alterations done. While some may consider this cleaner a bit pricy, I will pay for convenience and quality...and they deliver on both accounts. You are given a receipt with a full price breakdown when you drop off your clothes, so the cost should never be a "surprise" when you pick up. I didn't know who to call but I had been here before for other dry cleaning. I ran in with the vest at 9:30 am and was able to pick it up at 3:45. It was perfect and they saved me. Lol. A bit far from my house, but I needed a same day service to iron 5 shirts. I went back 4 hours later only to find out I had to pay $25, that's $5 per shirt. Outrageous, a complete rip-off! I knew I had no choice but to pay since the shirts were already ironed. My only regret is that I did not argue with the owner due to the time constraints I was under that day. read more

3 stars because the cleaning was fine but they "accidentally" sent my sons tuxedo paints to their Charleston and Sloan location and did not have his shirt and jacket ready to go...like I said the cleaning was fine but their lack of professionalism and common courtesy was unpleasant...my son had a performance that evening I stressed how important it was that the suit be ready by 3pm and was told it would not be a problem...this was not same day service I dropped of the tuxedo the morning prior...they did say I could pick up the pants if I wanted to drive to Sloan and Charleston, unfortunately I did not have time...she did thank me for not getting mad or yelling at her like "most customers" her words not mine...just made me realize their lack of customer service must be normal if they are constantly upsetting customers...I hope to never be back, what a shame they are right down the street...and no they did not offer a discount for the inconvenience she charged me full price and asked me to come back for his pants the next day...frustrating to say the least! read more

I brought two dresses in, sundresses and I paid $40 and they weren't even clean! They still had the same mustard stain nothing that was going to stay with the clothing through a wash. I'm not sure if he was the owner but the male upfront was extremely rude and told me it was cleaned and that stain was my problem. So overall I would not recommend this place for anyone!! read more
