There were games for NES, Atari systems, various versions of Gameboys, PS1, PS2, GameCube, modern consoles, DS, and more. I was looking for games for my Commodore VIC-20 and didn't see any, but it's a pretty obscure system so it's a big ask. The prices were sometimes expensive but not nearly as much as eBay, and they had a selection unlike any game store I've been to. I feel like the items sold were worth the price. While I didn't end up buying anything, I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

I shop in this center a lot (mostly Publix & Jersey Mike's) and it wasn't until I was walking into Jersey Mike's that I noticed the "Comics" sign. Yay! I love comic shops. They have a lot of comics. Games, toys, figures, some LEGO sets. Nice, clean organized shop. Friendly, welcoming people. They are in a shopping center with Publix - there is plenty of parking.

I really didn't expect much. However, I left my items and they gave me a receipt, and promised to text me when the evaluation was done. My ID was checked many times So they did text me. Since I wanted cash and no store credit I earned $1.97 instead of $3.54. What I learned from this is, that bartering might work for some people, if they are trading in things. This is not for me. Store was clean and well organized. Next time I will donate things.

My first recollection of visiting was in March 2017, right around the time the Nintendo Switch launched. I came looking for a Switch, but they were sold out. This was when Switch consoles were hard to find. I later returned to get God of War for the PlayStation 4. It was originally released in April 2018 at an MSRP of $59.99. I got the game about a year after it came out and the price had dropped to $39.99. I went to the store during my lunch break around 12:15pm on a Thursday. During my brief visit, I was the only customer in the store and there was only one employee working as far as I could tell. I found God of War quickly and easily and I was rung up fast. I paid with a GameStop gift card. The receipt that printed out let me know the remaining balance on my gift card which was helpful. I usually buy my games online. One advantage to buying a physical copy game in-store is the physical copy is in perfect condition. There have been multiple instances where I have ordered a physical copy of a game online and the game case arrived damaged, probably because of shipping. The employee, Leah, greeted me as I entered. She checked my ID to make sure I was old enough to buy God of War since it was rated M for Mature (17+). I'm already more than double the minimum age for M-rated games. Haha. They had a special going on: Buy 4 used games for only $20. Some of the used games were dirt cheap. For example, Borderlands 2 (2012, PS3) was only $2.99. How the heck do they make money off of games that cheap? Those games must be a loss leader. And how much would they buy that game for? 50 cents? When I got back to work, a coworker told me that there was a murder at this GameStop years ago. Long story short, a 21-year-old manager was tragically killed in a 2007 robbery at this store. The perpetrator pled guilty to murder in 2013. I will say this GameStop isn't in the safest-feeling shopping center. It's in the Marietta Trade Center with Walmart and Chick-fil-A, near the Big Chicken. Over the years, I've been approached at least three times by panhandlers and sketchy folks in various spots in the shopping center. To be honest, as I walked out of GameStop and back to my car with shrink-wrapped God of War in hand, the thought did cross my mind that I might get mugged in the parking lot (and that was before I knew about the 2007 murder). According to the store manager, her watch (which was clearly 5 mins fast and not digital) and the store computer, it was 6pm and we were turned away. Is this how loyal customers of GameStop should be expected to be treated? Id love more clarity on how you all operate your stores or to be directed to someone who would be able to assist me as I am concerned that this may be due to racial discrimination and not because "you close when the computers say it's 6pm." Ive worked in retail before and have checked out costumers well after closing time since the computer don't automatically shut off or combust just because closing time is nearing.

I asked for assistance after three salespeople walked past me at customer service. The salesgirl looked at the same places I'd looked. When she asked her coworkers for help, they said no. Then she told me that her coworkers "aren't allowed to help her." I put the books I'd found back. I'll drive to a different store just to avoid this one.

Yes Amazon sells it for a lot less and the sections on Amazon can be better...but not always... For example if you're looking for hardcore literature Like Ann Radcliffe or Horace Walpole then Barnes and Noble is the place to go. Amazon has it as well but their selection is sketchy...they may not offer you the best edition out there. If you're looking for Business books then Amazon is a better option because I don't think this particular Barnes & Noble's business books selection is as good as it could be. On the other hand they have a pretty good manga and young adult selection....I imagine those books are more popular than say Originals by Adam Grant.....They had signed copies of John Green's latest Turtles All the Way Down....and even though I said I wasn't going to buy anything... I ended up taking home Haruki Murakami's book Absolutely on Music: Conversation with Seiji Ozawa. (Ozawa is my favorite living conductor so I couldn't resist even though Amazon has it for $4 dollars cheaper but I figured heck I want this and I want it now...) Anyway now a days when people chose books over all other forms of activities such as the internet, Facebook or even Yelp....it's always a good thing....
