So this morning we noticed bubbles coming up from our toilet and the bathtub was slow to drain. I asked for recommendations for a plumber on FaceBook and went with one of the recommendations. After a $160 quote, the plumbers broke their equipment in our drain and said it was a $3,500 fix to dig up the yard because our pipe was broken. They charged us $265 for it and left, with their equipment still in the drain. So basically $300 later we're in a worse situation. We dont have $3500 available so we called Mega Rooter (another suggested plumber) to give a second opinion. Within 10 minutes he diagnosed the issue with the first plumber. They snaked toward our house instead of toward the main sewer. Their equipment broke because they were using too much torque and didnt stop the machine before the line broke. We called the first plumber, who came back to our house. Larry pulled out his camera and not only located but retrieved the first plumbers equipment for them... Later saying the equipment was not worth $400, more like half that. After cleaning our main pipe he sent the camera through one last time all the way to the city sewer and showed us how nice and clear it was. We are grateful that the first plumber admitted their mistake and refunded the money, and even more grateful for Larry his son Brett at Mega Rooter for their professional service!! Highly recommend. Larry came out to repair a blockage in my main drains. He had to remove the caps off the clean outs. A week or so after he was here, I started having a major problem with flies. I called Orkin and they came out twice in 2 weeks and couldn't get it under control and when they found out I had plumbing work done, they suggested I call the plumber back to come out and check his work to make sure nothing was wrong, cracked, etc. that was letting what I now know to be sewer flies in my house. You are talking about hundreds of flies all over the house! I called Larry this morning and explained the situation and asked him if he could come take a look at his work and see if there's a problem...something maybe that got missed when he was here since he had both caps open. A lot of stalling on his part and then half-heartedly agreed to come back out after the new year for another $100!! I said forget it. That just added insult to injury. He clearly doesn't stand by his work. I called another plumber who came out right away and found out that Larry hadn't tightened one of the sewer caps and that's where the flies were getting in at. Bottom line, because of Larry not tightening th cap properly, (and refusing to come back out to check his work) it was cost me HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS to get to the bottom of the problem. Won't be using Mega Rooter ever again. read more

I would not recommend. We had an appointment on a Monday at 2, he didn't show but called that night to apologize so we reset the appointment for a week later at 3. 3pm came and he didn't show. His guys eventually came over an hour later and did not do what we requested. We wanted everything brand new in the laundry with a new outlet box with the pipes re routed so they come up through the bottom of the box not the top. They left it as is (through the top) and they reused the same old box that was there when we requested a new one. The wall around the box, they ripped out by hand rather than cutting it out clean. So that looks messy. They were also supposed to do all new plumbing under the kitchen sink but when we showed them that they told us they were not told to do that and didn't have the time to. Won't hire them again!!! read more

Larry is an angel that's all I can say I called him and explained what was going on he was so friendly and seriously my sun in the dark that day he's prices are amazing and is work is above and beyond. Basement sewer was backing up called Monday they were out Tuesday evening. The technician Bret was awesome showed up with a mask...shoe protectors a great attitude even though it was late he did a GREAT job and was very informative about what's going on down under my house...he was very respectful of my flooring cleaned everything up after just a totally AWESOME experience I would definitely recommend them. Laundry room drain kept backing up. Called a plumber out and he fixed it. To bad 93 days later it backed up and they only warrantied their work 90 days. Larry from Mega Rooter was out quick and by far less expensive than the first plumber. What made this experience really stand out was the customer service. Quick clog removal at a very reasonable price. A plumber came in a few hours after I called, as promised, and even gave me advice on the pipework in the rest of my house, and tips if I decided to fix it myself. Very knowledgeable. Jared & JJ just left and were able to get the kitchen drain cleared out. Took 3 very intense attempts. I was so thankful they gave it one more attempt. Was probably 15 yrs of build up.
