I had my first appointment today, 8/1/25. I spoke to Michelle at the front desk and she treated me professionally with patience, although I was confused about my insurance coverage. I have come here over the years with my family and most recently came with my son for his first pair of glasses. The staff here is very polite and direct. They take temperatures at the door everyone must be in a mask. They clean the waiting room couch with alcohol and sanitize often. My first experience with Mega Visions Center Il occurred when a spot of pink eye found itself a way into my system, badly hampering my hectic schedule. One quick call was all it took to book a same day appointment. Fortunately I did not have to endure the discomfort for long, as the medicine I was prescribed worked quickly and effectively. Upon my follow up visit a few weeks later Dr. Boris took sugnificant time and care examining in my eyes and upon locating a patch of fluid behind my retina, took it upon himself to call the head of the particular Brooklyn hospitals eye department that specialized in such matters to inquire if the practicing specialist would see me. After a series of tests to determine what he could do within their facility with three expensive looking advanced eye testing machines (to my untrained eye, no pun intended) I was taken upfront for quick summary of how to apply the drops effectivly, to schedule a return appointment and with a warm and sincere handshake, I left as happy and as satisfyied as any customer could hope to be. Add in free coffee, bagels, cookies, TV and an amazingly engaged and courteous staff, why go anywhere else? read more

I honestly think all the positive reviews are fake. Period. There is no way this location could get any stars with the service that these "girls" provide. This isn't my first time coming to this location and every time I've come here I've been very disappointed with the quality of service and the quality of lens. They are nonchalant when it comes to your eye care, the girls that work here don't know a thing about eye care or lens or different glasses frames. Frankly I have no idea who is hiring these girls. They also conveniently they don't tell you what Medicaid does and doesn't cover so in other words they try to make money off of older people's homes may not know any better. They also do a half assed job on the lens and hope that the older people don't notice or don't say anything.... they are truly scammers and I hope they get removed from this neighborhood. Mega garbage!! I wouldn't ever in my life come in here unless its to destroy this place, horrible customer service they make you come back once a week for almost a month because they couldn't get the prescription correct on the first try , and then have the nerve to say " your eyes have to get used to it" well ... my eyes were used to the correct glasses I should have gotten so your half ass job shouldn't require me to get "used to it" I swear I felt like punching that lady in the face when she said that to me. Thats like me going to a Resturant and get served an over salted dish and then instead of accepting the mistake and replacing it they tell you "you have to get used to it" I'm so mad!!! I wasted so much time with them, they suck they stole away hours of my life and my glasses are just siting on my dresser as a reminder how much I hate this place! This place sucks, they ripped off a family member of mine for almost $2,000. How do you sleep at night taking advantage of an old lady. I will have more details soon, at this point I just know that she paid a lot of money and was treated very nasty and was told to take her glasses as is and now she has a very expensive pair of glasses at home that she can't use. At this point I will help her out first and get her a new pair somewhere else and then I will deal this this place with legal help. My advice to anyone who wants to do business here, please don't! It's so nice to know that Mega Vision is open again for business. Mike (the Manager) and Diana (awesome salesperson) were able to expedite my order (post Covit) and make sure my frames/lenses fit correctly (my progressive lenses are a bit of an adjustment). There demeanor is amazingly patient and the entire office is tremendously helpful (they all truly care about the patient experience). Your appointment could be for 11:00 and they don't see you until 2 hrs later. They overlap and OVER book. I despise taking my mother going. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Don't go here. From the moment we stepped into this establishment, Milana warmly greeted my mother and I instantly. She answered all our concerns about my moms current glasses. She examined them and realized that they're the wrong glasses for my mother's vision. Within no time, she brings out a new pair that looked surprisingly similar to the ones my mother already owned, however these new glasses were much clearer and didn't give her a headache after a few minutes of wearing them. This has to be one of those places that you don't want to come back to. First off. An eye exam will take you at least an hour an a half. You'll be seen by 4 different people, run different "tests", before actually seeing a dr. The dr will finally tell you your prescription. Crazy Basically. If you're bored at home and you'd like to waste an hour and a half of your life. Please come here. Second of all. 4 stars goes to the actual dr. She was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. However, doesn't justify that hour and a half of run around. If you're told you have one patient ahead of you. Run. They took my glasses and filled the prescription. However, they never gave back my old lenses. Which I paid about 300 bucks for. It clicked a few days later that they kept them. Upshot. That if you have regular lenses. They will be filled within a few days. Mine were done the next day. This was hit and run type of an experience. I would never come back here. Probably will go to a chain store next time and have everything done professionally. Vs how much money can we squeeze here from this one person. read more

I came here to get a new pair of glasses and a new prescription for contacts. I was on my last pair of contact lenses and needed to quickly get a new prescription. Luckily, I was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. The store wasn't so busy here so the doctor saw me within a couple of minutes. She was very thorough and took her time examining my eyes. I have insurance with HealthPlus so I was eligible for a free pair of glasses. Even though there wasn't a wide selection to choose from, I was able to find a pair that looked nice on my face. One of the workers kept trying to persuade me to purchase the thinner frames and anti glare but I kindly declined. My glasses were ready to pick up later that week. However, the store was never open before I had to leave for work and closed before I came home. When I finally picked them up, I was very pleased with the glasses, the lenses were pretty thin for "thick" lenses and came with a nice large microfiber cloth. The doctors and technicians are really nice but honestly Milana who works in the front is very rude...she works in the front and refused to help me . She was on the phone talking to her son and when she got off the phone while I was still waiting for her to help me pick my lens and then she avoids eye contact with me and says "haha there's a customer over there" and turns around to do something else. I had to wait for her to finish talking with the other employees. Very unprofessional.. I don't even know if I want to buy glasses from here. And then someone else had to help me out. She's not even the manager she has no right to not acknowledge me and refuse to help me out. Terrible service from Milana. Don't waste your time in that place.Had my eyeglasses done 8 month ago,lenses kept coming out.So I went there back to fix it,obviously lenses were too short.I think her name was Diana,so basically she says let me adjust but if lenses breaks it on you(she says).Are you kidding me?i said just fix it,I don't care what you do but if you break it,you give new pair.So adjust in front f me,hands me my glasses.I tried them lenses still coming out right in front of her.She says let me give to my technician,10 min later she says same thing,don't worry.Lenses still loose.At this point she says we My have to send to frame to manufacture,knowing it is completely BS(frame was fine,lenses were too short).I just walked out and went to Brooklyn mega Vision Center and they fixed with out any problem.New lenses in 1 iour. I had my eyes checked there and left with a bad feeling that something wasn't right about the actual eye exam, it was too fast. It was like she had to finish quickly just to get me out of there to help the next patient. I've had many eye exams over the years and this was probably the worst. Even though my vision was better when I left, hence the 2 stars, I literally left there feeling I needed to get my eyes checked again somewhere else. I will not return to this store. Additionally I think they are overpriced for frames too. As well the girl upfront couldn't figure out my insurance. Just too many things went wrong. read more

Great staff and inviting office. From my initial phone call with Larissa, she explained my options regarding costs with knowledge and patience. Upon entering the office, everyone was upbeat and kind. My time with the Dr. didn't feel rushed and he was willing to offer all the options for my new contacts to find which ones I was most comfortable with. I want to say Thank you for all staff at Mega Visions Center(MVC) for yesterday (Wednesday) visit to the MVC. It took less than 30 min to complete all exam and tests. Eye doctors was so professional and caring. Nadia was so helpful and kind to help select best frames my insurance could cover. While I shopping around 108 street in my lovely Gastronom their masters preparing for me two new beautiful glasses for driving and computer work and it took them just 1 hour. So yesterday I experienced best possible service. Also I want to say for people who visit on Sunday I understand you. But it mostly not the MVC fault that most of us want to visit on Sunday and make MVC crowded. We should credit MVC that they want to help all of us. I use this store ALL the time, for all my vision care needs. The service is very good. My most recent pair of glasses was ready in one hour, they called me to let me know. They always call to remind you about your appointment; they help you choose a frame (in an unobtrusive way) AND being very patient while you are making your choice (we all know how difficult choosing a frame could be). Eye exams are very thorough there, and the doctors are knowledgeable and accessible. There is a large TV in the waiting room, with Russian programming, and a couple of comfortable armchairs. Cookies, tea, and coffee are always at hand. Sometimes it gets pretty busy, so in order to avoid the wait you can ask them for the best time you can come, they will gladly give you an advice. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. One for the most dishonest and unprofessional places I have ever been to. They are nasty and yell at you. They hard sell you to buy lenses and tell you the manufacturer is offering a 75% rebate. The rebate is nowhere near that. You call with a billing issue. They put you on hold and don't come back. They tell you the manager was out to lunch and then 20 minutes later that she came in from lunch and just left foe the day. read more

If it were possible to give this place less than one star then they fully deserve it. These guys are nothing but crooks and thieves. Despite the fact that my insurance covers an eye exam with no co pay they decided to charge one. In addition to this my insurance also covers $130 towards glasses or contacts after the exam. The exam itself was completely terrible lasted minutes and the doctor proved to be incompetent. I was asked what my regular prescription was, had lens brought to my face and was aced if I could see clearly. This was the extent of my so called eye exam. They claimed that the $130 went towards my exam. The exam itself was completely horrendous They first charged me $99 for a box of contacts even they they were supposed to be $62. After complaining I began receiving the lower price but nothing was done to compensate me for the overcharges I faced before. I eventually contacted my insurance who told me that I should not have been charged for at least two boxes of contacts as they are covered under my insurance. I confronted the manager Ilona who refused to work with me and essentially told me "it is what it is." My insurance also contacted them and even then they refused to repay the money they scammed me out of. After all of these issues I went and took my prescription from them and have now disputed the charges with my bank. It is completely unacceptable that I actually had to work this hard to get back money that is lawfully owed to me. If you wish to avoid shady business practices and huge amount of frustration stay away from this place. I would suggest to anyone who have given these guys more stars, check that you are paying them the correct amount of money. If you are not start filing complaints and get back your money. Horrible experience here this past Sunday. It took them over 45 minutes just to see me to get my insurance information and personal data. Then when I asked how long is the line for the doctor, they said probably 30 minutes or so. So I waited! Very long story short, it took me 2.5 HOURS to come out of this place (not including the time I was asking the other girls a question about my glasses or contacts). Oh, and when I asked if I can have some samples (which I know always come with a contact fitting exam), I was told that I have to wait another 30 minutes because the exam room was busy. So I asked if I can just come back the following day and if it can be put aside just in case there's another exam in session. The girl said not to worry that it will be available. Well guess what? They apparently DIDN'T have my contacts as samples at all. I was also told off by another girl of why am I ordering contacts online when they have the same ones. And she asked me what I purchase them for, so I was being honest and told her the truth... and lo and behold, they apparently sell them for the same amount. But why would anyone purchase contacts at a store and deal with such poor customer service??? 2.5 HOURS spent to see a doctor for less than 10 minutes? read more
