Not only did Dr Kalra immediately tell us what he "guessed" we'd heard from the other Doctors, he proceeded to give his opinion, which actually made sense to us! Then, as he was not included in our insurance plan, not only did he join that plan (which took several weeks to get accepted), he fought for the procedure they didn't want to cover, and he won! At my 2-week post-op appointment and every appointment afterward, I repeatedly tried to explain how intense and persistent the pain was and how concerned I felt about it. Unfortunately, I left those visits feeling unheard and dismissed. I understand recovery from spinal surgery can be difficult and unpredictable, but as a patient, I desperately needed reassurance, guidance, and to feel like my concerns truly mattered. Instead, I personally felt like I was repeatedly told to "wait it out," even as the pain continued month after month. During this process, I was referred by Dr. Kalra to multiple different specialists in an attempt to address the ongoing nerve pain. However, after being evaluated, those doctors ultimately referred me back to Dr. Kalra regarding the issues related to my fusion and recovery. This left me feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn for answers or support. More than a year later, I am still dealing with the same nerve pain that began after surgery. This has significantly affected my quality of life. When I contacted the office again hoping to discuss the ongoing issues I've been experiencing since the fusion, I was informed that I was being dismissed as a patient and later received a certified dismissal letter from the practice. That was incredibly upsetting after trusting this practice with my care and trying for so long to advocate for myself. I'm sharing this only as my personal experience. Every patient's situation is different, but for me, the lack of support and communication during such a painful and vulnerable time was deeply disappointing. Also, I was informed most of her appointments are taken by the PA who has "been with them for several years" and "does everything the doctor does." This is "their normal practice" apparently. I've never heard of such a thing. I asked if it was considered a "doctor's visit" if it was with the PA, and was informed that yes, yes it is. Huh? So why isn't the PA the MD then? Because the PA is *not* an MD... why are we paying a premium for a PA visit? I've visited multiple doc offices before and have had the pleasure of working with their PA's, but NEVER before working directly with the MD/specialist first and certainly throughout my care. You don't have to wait long and her office is always clean and welcoming. Appointments are easy to make. Just a few down side issues...there is a charge if you miss your appointment, even if it's an emergency. However, the doctor worked with me on this fee & waived it. The billing / coding on a visit was also entered in incorrectly and I was billed from my insurance company. But the office corrected it, and took care of it after I contacted them. It's nice to see that they can correct errors & look at policy. I would recommend getting rid of the no show fee, it's very high and things happen. Overall, very pleased and would recommend.

They charged me a $155 deductible even though my insurance is $0 copay for annual visits. Claimed they had to charge $155 to "establish new patient care". The visit to "establish" care is Dr. Muhammad Farooqi sitting in a chair across from you, asking you the same questions you just filled out on the 10 forms they give you, after he makes you wait 45 mins after your appointment to see him. Dr. Muhammad Farooqi does not care about his patients; I told him I needed 2 referrals and he told me he would only give me 1 per visit. Mind you, each visit is an additional $115 EVEN WITH INSURANCE. Never in my life have I had a physician put me in a position between choosing a referral for my mental health or a referral for my physical health. HE LIMITS YOUR HEALTHCARE ACCESSIBILITY FOR HIS OWN PROFITS. He was also very rude and hostile when answering my questions. He stated that since I am in my 20's, I am not his target demographic and he does not care about me or people of my age group since we only account for 10% of his patients, therefore 10% of his profits. In addition to his complete disregard for patient care, the clinic is also UNSANITARY. There were BUGS in the room I was placed in. When I brought it up to the nurse, she just laughed. I had to kill the bug myself and the dead bug stayed on the floor while all of the nurses walked over and around it. This place is a joke. I came here because I was having abdominal pain. I know it wasn't serious,…read moresince it occurs occasionally, and my GI usually gives me some meds to calm it down. My sister drove me here, and the physician that I saw made it seem like I was going to die. She spoke to me for 3 mins before forcing me to go to LegacyER down the road for a CT scan. The CT scan came back normal, the ER doctor gave me Pepcid to calm the pain, and I paid $500 for the ER. To think that I wouldn't be charged here because they didn't help me at all-- I just got a bill from them because "the provider spoke with me". I came to urgent care first because I did not want to pay the high ER bill, but now I have to pay for BOTH without answers. This was the first place in-network close to my work so that's why we went here. I can't believe they charged me $75 for the provider to tell me to go to the ER. We filled out the paperwork online, and they never sent an email or anything about this bill. I received the bill on 4/18, saying that I have 4 days to pay or else it'll be late. What a joke!
