My original review is below: We hired Unique Northwest Building for carpentry and drywall work to upgrade the interior design of our home. We installed some wooden slats and installed a new door. It's very rare to find contractors who go above and beyond and Daniel from Unique Northwest was one. We are extremely pleased with Daniel's work (refer to photos). While the photos speak for themselves, for those interested in learning more about our experience, read further. From the get-go, we were very pleased with Daniel's responsiveness. Due to Covid and some logistical issues on our end, our request was conducted via phones and photos. Daniel was prompt, communicative and addressed our concerns. We were concerned about project scope as we couldn't conduct an in home visit (again, due to an issue on our side), however, Daniel had scoped it correctly and there were no last minute bait and switches in pricing, which we appreciate a lot. During the job, Daniel went to great pains to understand the details of our requirements and did a walk through the house to made sure he had got it all right. On the job, he was quick on his feet, yet thorough and precise in his woodwork. When necessary, he went by himself to procure the wood and other materials we needed and ensured he had it all right. If there were any issues he found while doing the woodwork, he would let us know immediately to confirm his proposal, and we mostly deferred to his expertise - which he had in plenty. In three days, he transformed our house from a mediocre place to a gorgeous layout. We had some other minor issues that needed fixing in the house (fixing some plumbing), which Daniel took care quickly as well. He had to come for an extra half day to finish some paint work as it needed time to dry, which he did meticulously again. We are extremely pleased with our result, and all of our friends have loved the new design. I would 100% recommend Unique Northwest Building and Daniel for any of my contracting work and would definitely hire him again. Thank you again Daniel was doing a fantastic job!

Our home remodel took over 2 months to complete and he single handedly did most of the work, and only subcontracted the electrician, plumbing, and custom glass shower door. He worked on a few weekends to ensure the project ended on time, and this was also because I added scope along the way. We were very impressed with his professionalism, patience, and his attention to detail, that even there are areas that I didn't plan for him to address, he took the initiative to address it to make the look complete and right. Before the job: He was extremely prompt in coming out to provide an estimate. He spent time talking with us about the value of the products that he uses, and informed us about a 50-yr warranty that we could get. He told us that other companies might be slightly cheaper, but they won't offer the same warranty or quality of products. With the few other contractors who came out for an estimate, he was exactly right. They offered a lower quality product and very little cost savings. Not Mike. He's proud of the materials he works with, and he'll tell you why they are the best. The project: The work started on-time and was complete within the timeframe we were expecting. The crew was relatively neat and tidy. After the first two days of work, my wife and I had some questions about a few of the aesthetic details. Mike took our call and spent a lot of time with us, trying to figure out how to make sure that we were happy once the project was complete. He wrote and incredibly thorough recap email that provided suggestions for how to address our questions. The result: We are very happy with the end result of the renovation. The new roof looks fantastic and works much more efficiently to vent and protect the tiles. Mike provided an itemized list of other projects we should consider doing, but he was entirely no-pressure with us when we only decided to do a few (not all) of them through Hawks. I never felt like he was up-selling us. Just looking out for our house. Sidenote: I believe Mike said he used to do home inspections. It's clear from my experience with him that he knows a lot about how to keep a home protected from the elements--functioning properly. I felt that I could always depend on him to give me honest advice for the best way to update and protect our home. Summary: I'd recommend Hawks for anyone who needs work done on their roof. As I said before, no renovation is painless, but Mike and his team made sure to do the best quality work, with the best materials at a price that was within our budget.

I had another company look at this, but they would have degraded the solarium by extending the roof in a way that would have diminished the value of my house. Final Touch Showroom came in and appreciated the value of the existing setup and came up with a proposal that preserves one of the most unique parts of my house. The design met my expectations. The quality of the work was good. They did struggle a little bit on timing, but the communication was good throughout the project. Before the project was done, there was a minor water leak discovered, and they were out here the same day with a large crew and they fixed it, even though it meant taking apart a lot of what they had been working on. They have one skilled painter who has a finer eye for detail than any other workman I've interacted with. He came back multiple days because the rain was interfering with his paint job, and he redid some pieces of work that others completed in a less diligent manner. The end result is I can trust what they've done. Cost-wise, they weren't the cheapest, but they are an established business with insurance, and they do things right. And they went above & beyond expectations with design suggestions, and they threw in some vacuuming and yardwork as well to ensure the house stayed clean and the yard was presentable. Sharon and Liam were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them for a complex home remodelling project.

After vetting a few contractors I decided to work with Anthony in 2019. His crew was fast and did great work. 1100 square foot addition with most of it being a mother-in-law unit. Fast Forward to November 2024. My house was hit hard by the Bomb Cyclone. Dealing with the insurance was a headache I was not familiar with. Anthony really helped me out keeping the repairs under the budgeted amount from my insurance company. I trust Anthony and him being honest and up front with repair costs. We've used them twice and both times they were punctual, courteous, and professional. Today, Thursday January 21st, they were scheduled to come out and replace a sagging fence post and install a broken bathroom Hester. I the pouring down rain, they re-dug the post hole, added rock to the bottom of the hole, and poured concrete after they put the new fence post. They made sure the post was plumb and steadied it with 2X4s and they'll return next week to remove the 2X4s. They also installed a new wall heater in the master bathroom and quickly tested it and cleaned up their work area. I can highly recommend this small company enough as they not only did excellent work but their prices were very reasonable.
