It's a cute market with a deli and meat counter, and what seemed like every type of liquor you've ever seen. Service was very friendly, particularly at the deli counter and register. I got a sub, that was like biting into the past (in a good way). I worked at Kmart for many years, and Schott's has nailed it. I got a few other prepared things that was good, and I'll have to come back for the pizza up front. This is a cool, funky little place that deserves a visit.

The last straw was this past weekend ( Friday) with my order, arriving finally to the relax and enjoy to my surprise bitting into my chicken the taste and texture was off. Something told me to take a look at what I had began to eat, to discover the most ( unrecognizable Orange substance, photos are in their gallery ) I had ever seen within any meat within my 60 years !. After the long holding calling the store I was told by him if I was unsatisfied with it, return it,no concern on what I had just explained experiencing eating a foreign substance!. When doing so I was again treated in the same matter his normal at me, then with the management over him, that he had the young lady call to conclude the interaction of my refund, boldly saying with a nasty face it looked like it had been ( inJected), I held my composure, no apology or concern, but (here) ugh face placing my refund in my hand. In a good note I'm grateful and thankful for great customer service that was provided by the young woman that work under him, speaking being polite, he (they) should take notice and follow under their example of being a decent human being that chooses to work in customer services, this would help the business instead of forcing them away !.

Meijers has their Mperks program where they post a very tiny "Mperks" next to a sale item. Barely visible. You have to watch these "sale" items carefully. Do they do this on purpose to catch the unwary consumer? I think so. Now Kroger posts "delivery or pick-up" next to some of their sale items. If you try to walk in the store and purchase these items, you don't get the sale price. Read both stores on-line ads carefully. They are meant to trick you. Remember pre-computer days when you reviewed the paper sale circulars and you actually got the sale price without without being a "member". Then they issued Kroger cards to give you the sale price. Now, you have to read the ads with your attorney to "fish out" all the exceptions just to buy groceries. GOOD GRIEF!

Produce looked good, great meat counter and deli as well. Just not as big as other stores, and seems like more of a smaller, more limited selection of items. The staff here that I interacted with was great, efficient and really helpful. I picked up some chicken salad from the counter and when I had it for lunch it was really super good. I'm fussy about chicken salad, and these people actually make it good. They had a gourmet one, but I didn't get it and went with the traditional salad instead. Overall, the place does have good vibes, just smaller than I had anticipated. I would gladly stop in here again to pick up items for lunch at work.

The star of the show here is the meat counter and the Deli. But every other department (and I shop them all) is solid. You won't find the breath of product offered in a Big Box Supermarket here.
