Absolute worst gas pumps ever. Tried one four times never worked. Declined card. Moved to another pump no problems. Talked to another customer who said they have this problem all the time and usually have to take their card inside to pay. Last trip to this gas station! read more

Meijer pharmacy technician spoke to me like I was an idiot. There is a 15 ml limit on one of the liquid antibiotic prescriptions I picked up this evening. The pharmacy technician insisted on explaining the issue with the prescription, my having to have it refilled a second time due to the 15ml limit, my insurance wouldn't cover it, and I would have to pay full price less the few dollars the Meijer discount would give me. She would further explain that the instructions were weird and don't make any sense, the person who wrote the script was an idiot. When I asked who wrote the antibiotic prescription, she read off my wife's name. So now I'm ignorant and my wife is an idiot. She was just repeating the same information over and over, she wasn't answering my question and she wasn't being helpful she was being passive aggressive. Making it look like she was being helpful but being rude and condescending. When I asked about how long I needed to wait to get the second refill, the pharmacy technician exhaled loudly, rolled her eyes, cocked her head sideways and started to repeat the entire interaction yet again. I interrupted saying I just wanted to know when I could purchase the refill. She then for the second time, let me know she was being inconvenienced by once again exhaling loudly, rolling her eyes, and talking to me with her head cocked to the side her as she tried explain things again. I interrupted her a second time letting her know I was becoming irritated by her overreaction and then I clearly described and demonstrated her behavior out loud to her when she acted like she was surprised by my comment. She started to look around at her peers as if I was out of line and mistaken and started to become upset. I assumed the crying, whiny, confused, and dumbfounded act works for her most of the time as she stopped her behaviors and attitude I then told her to forget my questions and just complete the transaction. This is not the first time this pharmacy technician has been rude, over reacted, and gave explanations or answered questions in a manner that makes customers feel they are ignorant and are in some inconveniencing that particular technician. Your cashier Trinity K. may have prevented food poisoning or worse by asking a woman to not purchase a spoiled whole chicken and offering to have another one brought to the register for the customer. I could smell the spoiled chicken odor a register over from hers. Trinity K does not represent the low review score at the top of this review, she is a friendly, customer service oriented employee. Meijer needs more employees like her. The low score is based on my pharmacy interaction and the meat product issues in the meat department. Back to the meat department, I found, one whole chicken, two packages of bacon, two pork ribs, a package of meatloaf meat (with a price reduced sticker on it), and two packages of "fresh" meatballs with a November 24, 2019 expiration date. I only took pictures of the meatballs, as I was taking a phone call while shopping. It appears meat products are not removed from sales floor when expired, visibly expired. Brown or some other color, or other odd characteristics like purple or green mold growing on products, leaking or opened packaging, and foul spoiled meat odors. It is also possible employees are instructed to put meat products back on the sales floor that are found in carts or other areas of the store or lazy employees who don't care about food safety just put products back in cases. The meat department has intentionally placed spoiled meat back in the sales case in the past. I have personally taken spoiled meat, specifically ham in April of this year, to John at the customer service desk because the meat department staff I handed spoiled hams to twice, immediately placed them back in the sales floor coolers after handing them the spoiled ham. I gave a blond hair female staff behind the meat department counter the meats I found. I really hope she discarded the meat and didn't return it to the sales floor cooler. The meatballs have been moldy several times before in the past. If you can find some that aren't moldy, they are a decent product. read more

The store itself is fine. Unfortunately cleanliness has fallen to the wayside. Took my little one in to use the men's bathroom since they don't have a family bathroom. I was appalled at the cleanliness of the men's restroom. Toilet was full of poop and dark amber pee - both of which made their way on to the seat. read more

The fried chicken at the Lancaster Meijer store was not eatable. We got an 8 peace, 2 peace's were identifiable as breast, an 2 peace's as legs, the rest was questionable. It was supposed to be warm and the lady said it was fresh, no way it was fresh and it was barley warm. read more

So this meijer is like the many others I have been to. The store is usually clean, I love their mperks program, I highly recommend that you check it out because using it will save you a lot of money! The employees seem to be kind,helpful and they have alot of good sales. Their clothes and general merchandise can be a little pricey at times unless it's on sale,but it's of good quality. One of the bad things I've noticed though with meijer overall is that they don't always keep their sale items stocked, so when you want a sale item it's not always there. Other than that I like shopping at meijer and will continue to shop there!:) read more

I usually shop at Meijer Lancaster, about every one to two weeks. I like going there on the days that it is not crowded, as there is more parking in the parking lot, and it is less stressful to shop in the store, without so many shoppers crowding the aisles. Generally speaking, the cashiers and floor help are very courteous (with rare exceptions), and the customer service personnel, are usually nice. Meijer has a very nice bread department and produce department, as well as a nice photo and printing paper department. The various food departments are usually well stocked. The pharmacy area is also very nice, as the help has gone out of their way (actually coming out from behind the counter), to show me where a specific item is on the shelf. However, there are some negative areas, which can use improvement. First of all, I don't like those electric carts, which are a danger to pedestrian traffic. There is no regulation in the store, as to whom can operate them. Someone who is totally incompetent can operate those carts, and injure a person. I saw someone actually backing one of those devices up in an aisle, without watching where they were going. Also, at times, I've noticed customers racing through the aisles with their carts, while on their cell phones. They've come close to striking my wife and myself, with their carts. There should be signs posted at Meijer, urging customers to be careful with both the regular push carts, as well as the electric ones. The intersections are the most dangerous places. Secondly, I resent the store personnel unloading merchandise and blocking the aisles, where customers have to shop. The latter task should be done when there are very few customers in the store, such as at 4-5AM in the morning. In fact, Lazarus Department Store in Columbus had a policy against blocking the store aisles with totes and carts. Third, there always seems to be a problem with the men's room in the back, as either it is flooded, or half the lights in that men's room don't work. Also, there are no paper towels there, only a warm air dispenser. Fourth, I've requested that there be sugar free orange Jello stocked; to this date, it has never been done. Instead, I have to go to Giant Eagle to buy that product. Also, Meijer stopped carrying Parkay Margarine. Again, I have to go to Giant Eagle to buy that. In addition, Meijer refuses to carry the 1.5 liter Evian Water, which Giant Eagle carries. Mr. Charles Lazarus of Lazarus Department Store had a saying that "the customer is always right". However, I guess that the buyers at Meijer don't care about specific customer requests, for specific food products. Most of the cashiers are nice; every once in a while, I'll wind up with one who has an attitude problem, and will study legal coupons (which have not expired), with a microscope. They can't remember what I've bought, and will waste my time going through the register receipt, in trying to locate that product, and match it up with my coupon,or will act suspiciously vis-a-vis the coupon. Then, there are other cashiers who don't greet the customer, or will ignore the customer. It really irks me when after standing on the cashier's line for a while, and finally having my order processed, that a customer comes behind me, and acts like I'm holding them up; I can tell by their body language that they wanted their order processed yesterday. When I shop, my wife and I have two shopping carts. I will intentionally leave one in back of me, and unload it from there. In that way, I won't have one of those impatient characters in back, sticking their noses into my credit card information, or not giving me space They think that by standing very close, that they will be waited on quicker. For example, this past week, while I was unloading my cart, some impatient shopper, had the nerve to also unload items in my cart, which I was seconds away from doing. She was not going to rush me, and had a lot of nerve touching my groceries. Also, I've noticed that some shoppers have tried to shove my cart into me. I will not be rushed, by some impatient shoppers, who never learned any manners while growing up. They remind me of someone on an elevator, who presses the "door close" button, even before I get off the elevator. There have been times that even when I have a receipt in my hand, and am leaving the store, that I will receive suspicious looks from a Meijer employee, who acts like Wyatt Earp. Instead of acting in that manner, they should state "Thank you for shopping at Meijer". Last, it burns me up, when I come upon a situation where somebody has left a shopping cart, in close proximity to my car, because they are too lazy to place the cart, into a cart receptacle. When they leave it loose, there is the danger that the wind will blow the cart into my car, and damage it. All that I am asking for is a pleasant shopping experience at Meijer; I'm not looking for bargains, as I have no desire to go to Walmart. read more

dont buy the stanley 6-1/8 in. retractable utility knife for $3.49. it didn't come with a blade such a rip of we needed the blade. we went to the store at 11:40 and it didn't even come with a blade and we thought it would come with a blade so we threw the receipt away and we needed it!!! such a ripoff!!!! it even said it came with a blade!!! such a rip off do not buy or recommend!!! read more

Meijer has the best produce in town. Their Mperks program has saved me over $4,000 this year. The staff are courteous and friendly, and the store is always very clean. I pass by at least 6 major grocery stores just to come to Meijer. read more
