First time coming here, I wanted a place to check out since I was in the area and I was in need of groceries for the next couple of days. I enjoy at the store has late hours. This store is also really huge too. Really wide and long aisles, features plenty of groceries and other items I was not expecting like a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Not a bad Meijer. I usually stop by early in the morning, and they have a large number of self-checkouts open at 6:30 am. Any time I can get in and out quickly at that hour, it's a bonus. They have a good selection of store-brand cookies, which are popular at the meetings I am buying them for. I like the Ultimate Oatmeal cookies the best. I do wish they would carry the half size water bottle regularly. About half the time, I have to buy full size. They are also frequently out of stock with the paper products I buy. Having said that, the store is clean and the location is convenient, so I will continue to frequent this location. read more

This market is huge. It is located in an industrial area. The shopping area hosts other mega stores such as Home Depot, and it can be tricky navigating the parking lot. I found the vegetable section had a fresh selection. I was selective with my shopping list as I could find certain items at better prices elsewhere. read more

These are my experiences at Meijer; 2 years ago when Covid was slightly coming down ,I noticed the manager in the deli with no mask or gloves handling food. One summer I ordered a salad to go and discovered it was spoiled. One day I ordered some chicken and was told they was out of potato wedges. I found out a deli worker had eaten the last of the wedges. I really don't blame the older worker for eating on her job because shes probably suffering from food insecurity . I hope management sees my review and check on their workers welfare. There's a need for good workers and less automated checkouts, otherwise Meijers is a good clean place to shop and I would give it a B-plus grade. read more

The restroom is absolutely disgusting 10:30 in the morning and there is piss all over the place. Toilet seat is ripped off of one of the stalls which leaves one disgusting stall to use. Absolutely no care put in to this place. Seriously need to clean up this place. read more

What I will say is what I experienced seems to be a trend that is becoming glaringly obvious at a majority of Meijer Stores as of late. If you even look at the Yelp reviews and just type in Meijer all the way down the list you have 3 * 2 * 1 * fore most of the locations. sadly this seems like the corporation as a whole and entity somewhere at the top is failing. I even have out of state friends who say Meijer stores are closing by them. Again what seems to be the problem at other stores they are understaffed at peak times creating lines going back all the way into the clothing sections. The store seems in disarray in most areas cardboard boxes xcetera. And I understand that covid-19 is just hopefully ending but the fact that they were out of stock of a multitude of items . no shorts no socks no underware. Mens grooming supplies. Cleaning products lysol. Hell 15 diffrent beard trimmers were gone...... 15....... that all cant be demannd and lack of supply That is a sign of lean ordering.!!!! At what point do we say were done and amazon prime it up.....? Makes me wonder who's in charge of ordering at the store. Truly....if you do not care about the customers I guess the larger question is do you care about yourself as a corporation ? because why would we keep getting out of our vehicles and making trips to Meijer to support your brand when there are no products on the shelves? and the stores are understaffed at peak times when people get off work and do their most shopping? So again my question posed to you is why wouldn't people start using Amazon for all their needs This is why the conglomerate is taking over it is the result of apathy and lack of diligence and self-preservation from Meijer corporate. This is my local Meijer. I live like 2 miles away. But I've mostly stopped shopping here. Why? First, there is way too much expired or almost expired product. I've gotten burned so many times here. I once found Neosporin on sale. Bought it and realized it was expired. Returned it to customer service and pointed out to them that all the Neosporin was expired. Went back a week later, and they were still trying to sell it. They should have pulled it all after I pointed out the expiration! And let's talk about their customer service. Laverne at the customer service desk is the worst. Moves like molasses even when there is a line 5 people deep. It is abundantly clear she does not give AF. Never enough cashiers. And this place is just tired, Dirty and old. read more

This has been our go-to Meijer while we're in town. We arrived just 10 minutes before midnight, thinking Meijer would be open 24-hour but (at least) this Meijer closed at midnight. Not sure about the other Meijer stores. We were able to get our shopping done though, no problem. When we were there the shelves were well stocked, the store was clean and organized, so I had no complaints there. Just be careful though when you shop around the time they'll be closed, as we ended up waiting in a ridiculously super long line, because apparently a lot of people continued shopping till midnight and then only after that they started waiting in line. And the store only had 2 registers open and none of the self checkout stations were active. But the store manager saw the situation and thankfully he opened up 4 self check out registers and that really helped the situation. I'd go back to this Meijer. read more

This store is always clean. I find Meijer's prices a bit high however, they have a large variety of natural hair products. That's something you can't find everywhere. Hair products and last minute dinner sides; I love a good one stop shopping experience. If you enjoy wine (I'm no expert) they have a nice variety to choose from. They also have hard ciders and coolers if that's your thing. They have a good grocery section. I've seen people complain about it but, I haven't been disappointed. I wish the Jamba Juice was still open. Due to the current circumstances, I understand why they aren't. read more

Pitiful experience. Automation system said prescription would be ready at 7:30 same day of call. Had to phone it in to doctor. Show up 4 days later and met with women in Training that said they have nothing ready. Explained that the answer service said ready after 7:30 4 days ago. Calls over this guy named Nicholas and he looks and said it takes 5 to 7 days. I Explained what the automated system said and he got defensive and said call your doctor. Looks at the pharmacist and he shrugged his shoulders and disappeared. Will NEVER go there again. The appropriate way to handle this would have been to be apologetic and offer a few days of BLOOD PRESSURE pills until prescription is ready. 5-7 days???? Avoid this location by all means. read more

The worst customer service ever. If I could add a review without giving a star this location would get a 0. I understand times are tough and it's hard to find good employees but man this store needs a reset. I don't mind waiting in line however when your employees don't care that the line is increasing at customer service and there is only 1 cashier who visibly doesn't care either it's disappointing. Tried to speak with the manager Elias that was a bigger joke, he kept telling me to wait to ask my question. Attempted to speak with a heavyset female who's breath was just as stank as her attitude to simply ask if anyone could help the single person at customer service (with now a line of 12 ppl after waiting 25 minutes to return an item I just purchased in store) and at level 10 while walking away (blessing) yelled there's no one else to help her. There's literally 5-6 Meijer employees walking back and forth to and from customer service and none of them could help??? Never again will I spend money at this Meijers. This store is well organized, fully staffed, and abundant in stock unlike the other stores in this area. Also great deals on items. I would recommend this Meijer to anyone. This has to be one of the worst Meijer's that I've ever stepped foot inside of. I went in looking to buy baby formula and a Father's Day card. I walked all over the store looking for the fomula. It wasn't with the other baby items, such as clothes, and cribs, etc. I finally found the baby food with the diapers and baby toys after literally walking all over the store. A five minute trip turned into 40 because I couldn't find what I needed, and there was no one there to help! The check out lanes were all closed, which left three at the very end open, and super long lines in each. I will not go back to this location! read more

The loss of two stars is simply because of the long line wait time and the commonly nonstocked shelves. The prices at meijer are awesome. Can't be beat by any competitor in my opinion. And I very rarely find anything expired on the shelves. The meat is fresh, prepared salads are fresh and the baked items are fresh. The complaints come at the line. Very very frequently I have been here and waited anywhere from 20-35 minutes. Just recently I shopped here on a Saturday night around 10pm. Not a common shopping time. I waited in line for 30 minutes!!!!!' When I got home all my cold food wasn't cold anymore. Good thing I didn't have ice cream... They only had one employee run line open and 2 no limit uscan line. I refuse to believe a manager didn't see the issue and open another line. I've contacted meijer many times complaining about the long lines on Twitter. They reply and nothing ever changes. This store is always a nightmare to even think about going too... I have completely stopped going to Meijer due to this factor. I've been in this Meijer maybe a handful of times... each time there are hardly any lanes open, lines are just astronomically long... & it's not the cleanest. The curbside pickup service was terrible. There was no signage anywhere telling where to pickup my order, the order email didn't state where to pickup, nor give the contact phone number. The email stated to park by the sign and call the number on the sign. What sign? There was none, anywhere. I called the customer care number in the email. I was on hold with customer care for 40 minutes and then they gave me the local contact phone number to call. Once I got the correct dept., I was told they hadn't even started my order by a very rude employee. By this time my pickup window had passed. They didn't have my order ready until nearly an hour after my assigned pickup window expired. All of my items were in stock when I placed my order at 6:15 am, but by the time they finally shopped my order, a number of the items were out of stock. Extremely disappointed. read more

Rating Meijer for about the morning experience at 6:30am.... I'm usually not greeted that early -- maybe because it's too early or someone is ready to go home but when I leave, their is someone that tells me "good-bye". The store is pretty clean -- you might find a couple of pallets laying around from night staff restocking the shelves but employees usually make sure it doesn't block it totally. Never really buy a lot from there because the register usually are backed up due the fact they never open all the register. (I believe it's just for show) I always use the self checkout which seems to be extremely faster. read more

Every time we come here its a problem. Short staffed, lacking motor oil (EMPTY SHELVES) Today I brought in a empty propane tank for exchange and was told that its "TOO LATE IN THE SEASON" To exchange. (Her manager called that from the office it sounded like.. I was at customer service) This was after I just spent 100$ on other items there same morning. I drove across the street to Menards, walked in and exchanged zero problems. Before we avoided this location... now I will avoid it like the plague. Always good service inside two times I took senior bus and scan bus when I moved back to Livonia recently, but cannot lift many bags as I fell in kitchen of house I am renting. And as in past in Plymouth used delivery but not much in stock both times and overcharged last time. It was credited when I called. Next time I will shop at same distance Wal-Mart for delivery of $35 free charge same as Meijer to now supplement my great meals on wheels dinners. read more

Shopping is just okay here. The store used to be much better, but it's declined over the last year or so. Most items are in stock, but sometimes they'll be completely out if something, like peanut butter or orange juice. Masks are required, but I often see staff not wearing them. Biggest gripe: Checkout lines are always long, often stretching way back through the clothing section. They don't enforce the "12 items or less" rule, so there's always some lady going through with a full cart of stuff. One time, my bill came to $88 and I paid with a $100 bill. The checker asked if I could pay with smaller bills, which I don't understand because she only owed me $12 in change. She had to call a manager over to help her. This location is close to my home, but I'd rather drive to one further away. They never have actual registers open, just the do it yourself ones. This is fine when you've got 4 items but when I'm doing the big trip to restock our cabinets, this is a huge pain in the butt. The cashier who runs this area usually is having a very in depth conversation with another cashier and doesn't offer to help you at all. I had a few coupons and asked for assistance last time. I'd clearly confused her with an actual employee. Got the feeling of How dare I ask for help. But the young man on the lane next to me, she tripped over herself to ring all of his stuff and bag it for him. Guess if I looked more like baby daddy material she would want to assist. Store is usually quite clean and well stocked. The customer service isn't there, and when I'm dropping a large sum of money, it's nice to have help bagging and ringing it up. read more

PROBLEMS WITH THE SELF-CHECKOUT LANES 1) They have 2 sets, on either end of the store, but are unwilling to staff both 24 hours. Thus they shut down one at 8 PM, causing a massive line on the one remaining set, and indirectly at the few full-service lanes, as people look for any way to check out. 2) Using a coupon at the self-checkout lanes requires assistance, they don't allow you to insert them. If they don't trust people to insert the coupons, they need to improve their technology so you feed the coupon into a scanner, which tells you if it will be accepted or not. The customer would then get it back if not accepted, or it would retain the coupon if it was. The current system causes a backup as people wait for assistance. Also, it's hot waiting in line, so I sweat as my frozen foods melt. They could at least air condition that area properly. I will shop elsewhere. read more
