The pharmacist treats people as if they are drug- seeking. Very disappointed with the unprofessionalism of the pharmacist and staff. I am going on vacation and my doctor sent in a message to the pharmacy to allow me to refill a day or 2 early so that I could have my medication while on vacation out of town. They flat out refused to even consider my doctor's message and, in fact, now I will be out of the medication for several days at the end of the vacation because they refused to refill it a day or 2 early. Im not able to pick it up on the day the refill is due because I will be hours away. So now I just have to go without my medication?? Their unwillingness to work with myself or my doctor shows that they dont truly care about their patients. How can someone be okay with saying to their patient that they will just have to go without their medication? Super frustrating. They made me feel as if, because its a controlled substance, that Im trying to get it early so that I can take more than prescribed. Im pretty appalled at the moment and will most likely take my business elsewhere. read more

When you call in a script they'll tell you when it's going to be ready, but it usually isn't ready when they tell you. I think they just want you to wander around there store for a while. read more

The staff who work there are so nice and helpful. A few of them know me by face since I have so many scripts. I rarely have to wait in line long because they will use both registers if a couple of people are waiting. They have never mixed my meds up and they fill them quickly. How does an non-Michigan person describe Meijer's? I'd say it's a step up from Walmart but definitely NOT a Target. This location is close to my MIL and I've been here several times in need of items that we ran out of. It's easily accessible from the highway and the parking is ample. The store is laid out similar to a Walmart and it's not nearly as aesthetically pleasing as Target. It does seem cleaner than Walmart though. I've never had any issues here, but it's not someplace that I could see myself wandering the aisles for hours. On a positive note, it has a Starbucks inside. read more

These people are disgusting. My 11 month old baby needed a prescription and we had it sent to east side meijer because it was on the way home. The pharmacy was out of the medication he needed (serious case of croup). When we asked them to transfer the prescription to a different pharmacy they said they could only transfer it to the West side meijer but "they might be out too". Long extended awkward silence and then we asked if they could check. The pharmacist acted annoyed. Went in the back room and immediately came out and said their out too. We called the doctor to switch the prescription and were told that Meijer Pharmacy in particular does this. They are more then capable of transferring the prescription but refuse so they don't lose business. Are you kidding me?!? So my baby suffers for two full days so you don't lose business?!? Well meijer, you just lost my business. And not just for prescriptions. My $200+ grocery shopping twice a week will go to someone else from now on. This is a ridiculously shady practice and I will be telling literally every person I know and come in contact with in the future about this. Do NOT give this place your business. The only good thing about this pharmacy is that it is close. I went to the doctor and he called in a maintenance drug for me. I got to the pharmacy 3 hours later and the associate told me they wouldn't have it until tomorrow even though they said it was ready. Turns out that they have it in stock but because I didn't call it in it wouldn't be ready for a hour. What?! The doctor called it in, I didn't think I would have to call and make sure they were getting it ready too. The clerk talked down to me and was rude. I asked why it wasn't ready and he acted like that was the stupidest question here had ever heard. In other pharmacies if the doctor calls it in you're good to go, but not there. Have toy ever heard of a drug being called in twice because I guess the doctors call isn't good enough. Keep in mind this drug was for high blood pressure and boy after that did my pressure get high. I was so mad I almost gave myself a stroke! Just remember if you are getting a maintenance drug, your doctor calling it in for you isn't good enough, you have to make sure they fill it. Super expensive, rude techs accompanied by the lack of knowledge held by the pharmacist -- what a headache.

This store is close to my home and great to pop in and out of for groceries, forgotten birthday gifts n etc. Usually pretty clean, never had any issues here. Obviously avoid weekend mornings if you are trying to get in and out fast. read more
