FLASHFOOD haul! Hit me up to get $8 off your first order.

First, download the free app to find discounted food. Browse deals of up to 50% off at a grocery store location near you. Choose your discounted food items. Often there are even boxes of fruit or vegetables for $5! Yes, for an entire box. Pay right in the app using any major credit card or debit card. Then, pick up your Flashfood order at the grocery store. My locations are Meijer's stores. Head to the store, grab a shopping cart and your food items from the Flashfood zone located in the customer service area. You will need to take your items to the cashier in the customer service area and confirm your order. Then your on your way to enjoy your purchase. You get $8 off your first order after signing up.

Men's toilet Back of store 3 days now That's beyond lazy when a business can't clean the bathrooms Toilets at front of store were ok. Of course when I mentioned this mess it was an expected 'not my job' type of response.

This was my first time shopping at this meijer. We normally shop the one in Camby, but since we had our grocery list with us on our way home from running other errands, we passed this meijer and decided to stop in since we were already here. Plenty of parking, so we grabbed a space fairly close to one of the entrances and appreciated that the rows for parking had letters to help us remember which row we had chosen. One thing that is weird is that meijer stores are not set up identically, so from my perspective, we had to figure out where everything was. We would have probably shopped faster driving on to our local store and just picking up what we needed. I'm a bit of a speed shopper because I know my own store layout so well. Trying a new one is always a bit frustrating. I wonder why they don't lay out the stores which are usually built from the ground up the same? Not that this store is to blame, it is more of a complaint about meijer in general. The store is huge and they do have a lot of items to choose from. I also like that there seemed to generally be wide enough aisles for people to pass with carts. There were shortages on some holiday items and paper products probably due to the hoarding mentality that has taken hold of our nation. You can't even mention snowfall without stores noticeably being depleted. I was looking for a canned good for Thanksgiving and the store had it set up on the bottom row. Unfortunately, the rows are deep and from a standing postition, it was hard to read the label for the items which were shoved so deeply into the row that the labels on the cans were not readable. I literally had to get down on my knees to read the small print and then look through the row to see the canned goods lined up single file at the back of the shelf. Good thing I am still flexible and have long arms. I don't know how many people would go to my effort to get what they needed. So, someone on the staff should be bringing the items forward for the customers, especially in the areas where obvious attrition was occurring. Maybe they could check in the back to see if there were any more inventory in stock to help shoppers. I can't have been the only shopper frustrated that it was difficult to find common items in the store. I also noticed that the shelves seemed high and that made it difficult to read some of the aisle signs. My wife was looking to find the pharmacy and it took awhile to spot it. She didn't say whether she found the item she was looking for or not. I understand these aren't ideal times for first visits to stores, so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt with a 4 star rating. But customers will only put up with shelves that aren't maintained for so long, especially if they can find a better shopping experience elsewhere. We ended up using the self check out counters since the regular customer lines were all backed up. Fortunately, I've grown pretty good at scanning over my lifetime of grocery shopping. I prefer using the limitless lanes because they have more room than the limited number of item check outs. I could scan and set my stuff on the larger area without having to stop and bag part way through scanning just to make room. Review #3821

If you're driving to the Avon store, and frustrated, come to the Plainfield store. Avon is much busier, often out of products, and the lines are long. I usually leave frustrated. The Plainfield store is clean and well organized within the departments you know. The produce section is fresh and amazing. The employee's are usually close by and willing to help when you have questions. They even walked me to the item I needed. Once you're familiar with the store layout you'll be in and out quickly. I have to admit I was frustrated searching when I first was here but now it's much easier. The employees are friendly, open to helping customers and the store has the products you're usually looking for.

This is humorous. Not a volume discount. A volume you have to pay more

Our go to Meijer. We are very close to the Meijer in Avon, but prefer this one since cleaner, not as busy, and usually better cashier interaction, which if store is stocked like it usually is is the important part. We like to use recycle bags that we bring since we like how they carry more and are good for the environment. Well today the cashier told us no she would not use them because the cashiers are timed and using recycle bags take too long for her to bag. What?

Meijer is awesome, and this somewhat new location in Plainfield is a nice addition to the area. It has a Meijer gas station out front with sometimes lower gas prices, and a Great Clips inside. Equipped with all the departments in typical Meijers, friendly staff, clean, and a good amount of self-check outs, this is my go-to grocery store. I like the fresh produce section- I never have a problem finding what I want, good savings, and fresh looking food. The bread and peanut butter is upfront after the bakery section, just a tip before you go up and down every aisle like I did! And on some days there are samples-Yum!

Nice place to shop. Clean environment, friendly and helpful staff.

During this period, my husband suffered a third rotator cuff tear, which has now progressed to requiring a full shoulder joint replacement. His physician issued valid, legally written prescriptions, including controlled substances, to manage severe pain related to this injury. On multiple occasions, Eric refused to fill these prescriptions, insisting that we contact the prescribing physician for "additional verification." We complied each time. Even after verification was obtained, the prescriptions were still not filled. Beyond the refusals themselves, the conduct was unacceptable. Eric was consistently rude, dismissive, and on more than one occasion hung up the phone on both my husband and me while we were attempting to resolve the issue calmly and respectfully. At one point, we were told to change the dosage of a prior prescription in order to avoid filling a newly prescribed one. Medication decisions of that nature belong between a patient and their licensed physician, not as a workaround suggested at the pharmacy counter. I fully understand and respect a pharmacist's responsibility to ensure controlled substances are dispensed appropriately. However, what occurred here went beyond professional judgment and crossed into obstructive behavior and poor patient care, resulting in repeated delays in access to medically necessary treatment during a serious injury. I strongly urge Kroger management to review this pattern of behavior, as no patient dealing with severe injury should be treated this way.

This review is kind of a mixed bag, but, ultimately has a happy ending. I have a friend who sent me…read morea Kroger e-gift card so that I could use it for fuel, but, it turns out, Kroger doesn't allow you to use e-gift cards for fuel, even though it says in the terms and conditions of the e-gift card that you can use it for fuel. So, I spent an hour at this location in Avon trying to get it resolved but was unable to get it resolved because I didn't have certain personal information about the purchaser. Frankly, I don't understand why an e-gift card can't perform the same functions as an actual physical gift card. It would be great if Kroger could rectify this. My hope is that in the future, Kroger will allow e-gift cards to be used to purchase fuel. With that said, the acting store manager I believe, Joseph, was really great about everything. He was literally on the phone for probably 30 minutes trying to get it resolved and he had to call a few different numbers to get to the correct department. Unfortunately, as I said above, because I didn't have certain personal information about the purchaser, they could not move forward with the process. Joseph, however, went out of his way to help me and bought me $30 dollars worth of gas with HIS money. Pretty amazing customer service and Joseph was cool as a cucumber the entire time because he knew I was stressed about the situation. I'm not mad at Kroger or anything, because I love shopping there. But, they really need to update the legalese in the terms and conditions with regard to their e-gift cards so that it doesn't say you can purchase fuel with an e-gift card. Joseph is an amazing manager and human being for helping me because I truly did need to get gas and he made that happen. There are still great people out there who want to help and I am grateful that they exist, because we need as much human kindness as we can muster in this world. Because it is only us, as a collective, who can change this world. Thank you for helping, Joseph, you are a good egg:) I will continue to be a loyal Kroger customer because outside of this minor snafu, Kroger is still the best grocery store around.
