Recently came here to grab some Health Products. My vehicle recently got towed over to this area so I needed a store that had all of my accommodations while I was waiting for it to be repaired. This place had a great Travel section where I got my personal items and I also got plenty of snacks and food just to hold me over for a few hours. Staff here was very friendly. This store is larger than most grocery stores too. Prices here were fairly average as well. Still was also very clean and the service desk was also helpful and accommodating too. I love Meijer. It's such a nostalgic place for me when I go back to visit Michigan. The fact that they carry a large section of wine, beer AND spirits is amazing. They had my fave beverage "two chicks" which is hard to find where I live. And of course the CARHART section is amazing. Ugh we need this in the south. I bought the fruit that a worker was unloading from his cart, thinking it would be the freshest in the store. When I got home, I found out that it was moldy. Of the 8 boxes of raspberries that I bought, 0 were consumable. Covered in mold, and turning to goo. read more

This is a review for Meijer as a whole. I have been having a lot of issues with their app and their website not working when it comes to their Mperks. Having an account with the store is supposed to help save money, but I am finding it costing more of my time to even get their system working right to check on points, claim points, and clip coupons. If I am unable to do any of these things in a timely matter or even get access to them what's the point of having an account to help with your 'savings'. read more

This location has an extremely limited amount of people to check out customers, it is almost exclusively self checkout. Recently it seems their algorithm has changed and they accuse me of stealing when going through the checkout. This has happened several times. Strike one and two. My wife ordered groceries that we were notified were ready, I went to pick them up and texted, called, and had to go to the service desk. After 30 minutes of still didn't have my groceries. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I want to say whoever designed your vaccine layout put very little thought into the fact that many elderly have disabilities that prevent them from walking to back of store to wait in line for a Covid shot! I was thoroughly disappointed to see this! No seating in areas where there was a waiting line either. Come on, can't we respect the needs of our elderly & handicapped? read more

We were looking for a new television for my elderly mother. There was a 65 inch model that had a sound bar connected and controls that said "try me". We turned on the sound bar and "cranked" it to 18%. We didn't have to raise our voice above our normal conversational voice. It wasn't that loud. We actually planned on buying the system when the associate came from a couple isles over, walked between us, and turned off the sound. She never said a word, just had a nasty scowl on her face. It was at 3:57 PM on 3/25/2021. Her name badge was not visible. One of the other customers in the department even asked, "did she just do what I think she did?" We went to Walmart and bought a television. We used to do most of our shopping at Meijers. Not anymore. Too many other choices. read more

I just went there for the first time and bought a melon. 2 days later it already had mold growing on it and meijer is supposed to have good produce. I was very disappointed. The layout was also very confusing. read more

Miejers doesn't keep up to date on their products, I have bought a couple of products, food and dog food and gotten home only to see an expired date on them. Plus when you need an amigo electric cart they're all broken and no matter how many times you complain nobody seems to listen. I think I might have to ch to shopping at Walmart. read more

Love the new store layout, but wow was the checkout understaffed. Sat am and only 3 lines open. Customers are 6-7 deep. Been in line 35 minutes and not even to us. So many employees all over the store but only three checking out. read more

This is one of the only Meijers in the GR area that hasn't been updated, it's still 100% functional, but the layout is backwards compared to pretty much every Meijer in town. Though, it's arguably more convenient that way as the newer stores are designed to make you cover more area to get what you need...allowing for more impulse purchasing. They're recently added a Belle tire to the parking lot making getting in and out a bit more difficult since during peak times parking extended into the area Belle is using. So, overall, it's not shiny and new, it has a lower income customer base, but it's functional. read more

Just moved back to Michigan after 5 years out of state. I used to hold Meijer above Wal Mart with pride when it came to both customer service and quality of product, now I see no difference other than the color scheme in branding. I'm giving them two stars because its a grocery store and it did have groceries, but it failed in every other aspect of its purpose. The store was dirty, and, like so many Wal Marts, there were over 30 checkout lanes but only THREE were open with 6-8 people in each normal lane, and about 15 people in the self checkout lane. This is the third bad experience I've had at a Meijer in Michigan, at stores all over the state and my complaints hold true at each of them. Its sad to see they have let their standards fall so low as to rival that of their blue competitor. I would rather make several stops at various smaller stores in the area than spend another dime supporting this large, faceless institution that is clearly only concerned with its bottom line, and I suggest you do the same. read more

Stopped in here last night for pretzel buns and cheese. Layout is super awkward. The cheese wall is on the other side of grocery, and the selection was surprisingly limited when compared to other Meijer stores. Overall we did pretty well on pricing, a bag of groceries (with two splurge items) for about $20. Not too bad, not too great. But the place was clean and service was good. read more

Great helpful employees. The store is always clean and organized. I have never had a bad experience here. For a Meijer store this has a very local feel to it! If you ever need a laid back stress free shopping experience, this would be the place to shop! read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid the pharmacy at the 54th Street Meijers. The last several times that I have had presciptions filled has been a nightmare. They have been out of my medication on occasion, sent me to other Meijer stores for refills and my lastest adventure was waiting over 3 hours and 20 minutes to get a refill when I was told it would be a 1 hour wait. read more
