Corey and the guys at Meineke helped me put in a new battery that I had purchased elsewhere and was recommended to take the job to them - they did not get paid for this interaction but were more than happy to help me in a pinch. So the next time I needed service to my car I of course wanted to bring my business to them, especially after a less than pleasant encounter at Camelback Toyota. They have very fair pricing on their services - priced lower than Camelback Toyota - and I did not feel that they were trying to pressure me or sell me in to services I did not truly need. I came in for a routine oil change, and the oil change itself was completed without any issues. The staff was courteous, and that part of my visit was perfectly fine. What really disappointed me was what happened afterward. I was told my car urgently needed a $194 coolant system flush, a $143 brake fluid flush, and a $450 spark plug replacement. That added up to hundreds of dollars in recommended services. Instead of approving the work on the spot, I decided to get a second opinion from my personal mechanic. He thoroughly inspected my vehicle, tested the coolant and brake fluid, and physically showed me the condition of the fluids. He explained that both fluids were still in good condition and did not need to be replaced. He also confirmed that my spark plugs were not due for replacement. His opinion was that approving those services at this time would have been an unnecessary expense. This experience made me question how these recommendations were made. As a customer, I rely on service advisors to recommend maintenance that's actually needed--not services that can wait. If I hadn't taken the time to get a second opinion, I could have spent nearly $800 on maintenance my trusted mechanic said wasn't necessary. The oil change was good, but this experience seriously damaged my confidence in the maintenance recommendations I received. I strongly encourage anyone who is presented with expensive repair or maintenance estimates to get a second opinion before authorizing the work. read more

Quite honestly, I have a lot to complain about they suck at fixing cars and Corey has no knowledge about cars or how to fix them. I spent $8000 over there for suspension in my car still sounds like an old Rocking chair, I was quite unsatisfied with the service and i am now sighting a full refund. I went in this past Friday needing them to check my tire because the pressure was low and I suspected I ran over a nail. They looked me up and down and told me I just needed air in it because it's cold. Look I understand I'm a woman, but I do know when there's something wrong with a tire. They told me I could've just "gone to a gas station and aired it up". The next day my tire was low again and I decided to go to Pep Boys. They told me I was right 5 min after I got there, and patched my tire, and I was off in 30 minutes. I didn't appreciate the misogynistic behavior from the employees here and they most definitely didn't check my tire like they said they would! I guess it all played out fine considering they didn't get my money in the end. read more

* WARNING THIS REVIEW IS LONG* Friday, 1/26/24 - I took my son's car (2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid, 144,000 miles - a hand-me-down from my parents) to Meineke to get an oil change and an all-over inspections as it was being shipped to Fort Rucker, AL the following month. Normally, I would take the car to my normal auto shop but they are not close to me and Meineke is only 7 blocks away and we were running out of time. Their report said it needed the following things: oil change, replace air filter, fuel injection service, brake fluid flush, flush coolant system, replace front stabilizer link,, replace rear brake pads, resurface rotors, replace shocks, replace front brake pads and rotors (Total: $2,512.80). I'm not disputing any of the work needed. It's an old car and normal wear and tear. We picked up the car that day, the GM (who said he himself did not drive the car but his technician did) warned us that the brake sensor codes on the dash were all lit. He said that they "may" turn off after time but to monitor it and bring it back to any Meineke (knowing the car was going out-of-state soon) if they didn't. My son drove the car home and said the brakes didn't feel right. The car didn't immediately stop and you couldn't slam on the brakes. We immediately called Meineke back and the earliest we could get the car back was Tuesday 1/30. On Tuesday, Meineke told me that they could not read the codes to the sensors mostly due to its age. It brakes but basically the ABS brakes feature wasn't working and said to take it to the Nissan dealership to have them look at it. If, the issue was related to any work Meineke did, then they would pay for the repairs or bring it back to Meineke once we know how to fix the problem. ABC Nissan looked at the car and it is "unsafe" to drive. Their technician went for a test drive and didn't even make it to the road before turning back. Due to the age of the car, ABC Nissan didn't have the proper tester to read the codes and had to borrow from Nisan Engineering which took several days to get in leaving us without a car for the weekend. I called Meineke to give them the status and said while my son and I can share my vehicle for the week, we cannot during the weekend as he had a military commitment. The GM was going to talk to his district manager to see if they would pay for a rental car. I mentioned to the GM that I was alarmed they released the car to us given how unsafe it was to drive. His response was that he has worked at dealerships for 7 years and the car is "safe it has brakes". I reminded him that it no longer had ABS brakes based on the repairs they did. He responded and said many older cars on the road don't have ABS breaks. Later, the GM came back to me and offered their shop van for the weekend at which I declined and made other arrangements. My reasoning is that if Meineke returned the car in the driving condition that it was in, how do I know what condition their shop van was in. ABC Nissan fixed the issue and had to "perform a stroke sensor adjustment, zero point of the steering angle sensor, yaw rate sensor and perform the linear solenoid valve calibration" to get the brakes to work as designed. The total cost to correct the issue was $628.95. When I sent Meineke the Nissan receipt, I also requested a refund of $996.54 the cost for the brake work. Meineke declined my request and only refunded me for the ABC Nissan bill. I am extremely disappointed with Meineke's customer service. I was not trying to get something for free. I believe the should have reimbursed me for a portion of their work as a compensation for my time and inconvenience. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend Meineke. read more

Watch out for "The manager": Blake Part 1- When I went to get my oil changed on Saturday everything went ok. It did not take that long and the guys were nice but not really happy about being there. Moving on, when I left the place I started to feel my car shaking as I slowed down and thought hmmm.. that's weird I did not feel that when I got here. It came and went so I ignored it and went about my day. It is now Monday 10/23 and my check engine light is on. I had a really bad feeling that they did something wrong because I have had this happen before at a place like this. Where the gentleman changing my oil was careless and did not screw in my oil cap right and it was leaking oil. To my surprise oil was not leaking BUT I just had a feeling that I needed to check under my hood too. I popped the hood and checked for anything obvious things like if wires were broken or if my top oil cap was screwed in right. To my non-surprise, the oil cap was half on. Which they are lucky I caught this because it could have caused more damage to my car. Needless to say, I will not be going back to. Now onto Part 2...come to find out I got the location wrong and called this location. Hang in there with me. Part 2 When I realized my check engine light was on I was livid because I am about to leave for a trip next week and my car is now having issues 2 days after I left. I called and spoke with someone who claims he is a manager. Joseph I believe it is. We spoke about the situation and he talked over me a lot and said it could be numerous reasons and started naming outlandish reasons like, people may have tampered with my car overnight, or that someone may have stolen my catalytic converter. He told me to come in as soon as possible and I told him I could not come in until tomorrow. We hung up the phone and planned on me coming tomorrow. I then switched around my plans and called again and said I would be on my way. The guy (Blake) said that tonight was not good because he did not have his technician here. I voiced back and said you told me to come in today. He corrected me very forwardly and said "No I said as soon as possible." The way he said this I automatically thought I was fighting with an ex-boyfriend or something, it sounded very petty and immature to be coming at me like that AS A MANAGER. In response and I will say it was not the best response on my part, I said, "Did you guys break my car on purpose or something how could this happen after I left your place when there was nothing wrong before." He comes back at me very combatively and starts yelling at me accusing me of yelling and how dare I say that type of thing. This is shocking because as a manager you should be non-reactive, and I am not saying I am not in the wrong but as a manager prior, you should be able to handle pressured situations like this in a calm matter, not making things worse. Then after about 45 seconds of him just talking as I was silent, he said "I am going to hang up the phone because I am not going to let you tell me it is our fault. And that I was being rude." I say wait, and he hangs up on me. For a manager to be this reactive over one comment is not only weak but a huge character flaw as a manager. After a third time calling him back because I needed to ask another question to get to the bottom of this I apologized for my comment, and he then apologized for talking over me and that's it. Not for hanging up on me or calling me rude. (eye roll) Needless to say, I highly recommend not ever coming here. I mean just read the other reviews. ITS BAD. read more

Came in to have my tires changed. They took receipt of the shipment from tire rack, which was nice. Price was about $60 which was a good deal, but work done was poor. The mechanics did not clean the rim surface before placing the weights, so they won't stay on long. They also didn't clean off the old glued prior, leaving a mess. They used something hard like a screwdriver to remove the old weights, gouging the rim in the process and leaving scratches. The PSI of the tires was not checked prior to handing the car off either. Seems they just put enough to get the tire bead to seal as all four were between 24-26 psi. Pros: friendly staff. read more

It pains me to leave this review cuz I had left a review of how I thought I'd found my forever car repair establishment, I thought I had a fair priced, honest company who I could trust to take care of my old truck that has to last me, I had spoken to Dave many times and I knew he would not accept crappy service, and I felt as if I could totally trust this location! I took my truck in for service round 11/19/22 I believe Dave said, they do a inspection as they always have, they rolled down my driver window, it had a after market regulator in it so it was very slow going back up but it worked. One of the techs rolled it down couldn't get it back up so they (more than 1) tried to push it up and someone had to try to work the button! They managed to get it back up but not all the way but never said a word, I was in waiting room the whole time, and they never said a word! I get in it and because of them not getting the window back up completely it has a whistle, it's a old truck, ok no harm no foul, I'm not busting nobody's balls but then as I go along the window begins falling more and more! It has dropped more than 2inches, I can't lock my truck , if it rains I'm screwed! So I call Dave and ask them if they can take the panel off and fix it correctly , he says I can bring it back in the next day and it will probably cost me. Im frustrated as EVERYtime I shut my driver door it falls even more, now I've spoken to Dave and we've talked about shotty service and I was very disappointed that they couldn't look at it this evening so I could lock up my truck and keep the rain out, yes I got upset cuz I thought I had a car center that gave a shit about my vehicle, I'm very disappointed that when I spoke to Dave about this he claimed it wasn't their fault. I believe It was their responsibility to tell me when they put the window down and they tried to pretend it didn't happen, I'm very disappointed in the fact they didn't fix it right when it was in the shop and I was in the waiting room, when I did call and ask them to fix it he couldn't find the time to fix my truck till the next day, he didn't have time for my truck when it couldn't be locked up, but he knows had he fixed it when my truck was in there, it wouldn't have had to come back! He and I had spoken about such things and yet it wasn't a priority ! Dave said I cussed him, I did not cuss him, yes I cussed because he pissed me off when I found out he's just another schmuck out there who don't give 2 shits if they do quality work or not! Having the foreknowledge of how many auto-mechanics attempt to "get over" on you, I was pleasantly surprised at the honesty of the staff at this Meineke location. The Manager, Dave has consistently surprised me with his honesty and his fairness with respect to pricing and such. In the past two months, we've had a lot of work done on our car and each time Dave's information has been upfront, fair and honest. And he's a nice guy, to boot. Even if you don't live in the vicinity of this Meineke location, I'd recommend choosing THIS one over all others. I went to see So call infamous Dave purposely dishonest a referral from Reed Motors mechanic on Feb.12th & Feb.18th I took my car for 2nd inspection to find out I needed a replace engine due to internal leaks, exhaust fumes, etc. The issue is Dave the owner and flunky has given me receipts/invoices in the past but on Saturday he refused to give me an invoice of the parts he replace. I have no proof of worked done and Dave is trying to pass it onto Reed Motors who paid for the parts but Reed Motors has given me the invoice already. Dave is lazy and Reed Motors and him had me go back to this shop several times for the same repairs because Reed Motors and him purposely stalled me. Dave had change the parts to Parts Authority and I have no proof these motor mounts were done. Also Dave & regional manager, Bret refuses to give me money back for the 2nd inspection showing that my car wasn't repaired as promise. What are you hiding it looks fraudulent if you can't provide an invoice? My car was in his shop from Feb. 18th to March 4th for a replace engine and I believe that because I am a woman of color I received no respect. I also see that Reed Motors their business account doesn't receive any respect as well being a black business dealership.The president of Meineke is Kevin Ledger and I want the public to know about it. I was told not to go back but I'm not interested to return but I must have an invoice and Dave is the one who ordered the parts that is on my car registered to me. When it comes to me and mechanics, I may as well walk in with SUCKER tattooed on my forehead. I knew that my brakes weren't working that great. But I had no idea whether I needed new pads or needed rotors machined or replaced or anything of the specifics. I was thinking I needed a complete brake job and was easily prepared to spend several hundred dollars on that. So needless to say I was pretty surprised when Pete, the service manager gives me a call and told me my pads were fine and recommended a much cheaper lubrication and adjustment. His ethical business practices saved me a bunch of money. Any other mechanic could have piled on charges for stuff I didn't need and I would have never known any better, but the folks here aren't any other mechanic. These are folks I can trust. The folks here know how to treat a customer right in all aspects of the process--a friendly phone call in the beginning, a ride to and from my office, to speedy service, to getting the best out the door value I can find. Today was my second time getting my car serviced at this location and it's definitely not going to be the last. The peace of mind I got today has made me a repeat customer. First off I usually have my oil changed at Pep Boys, I had received a coupon in mail from Meineke for $14.95. Had my parents drop off my vehicle in morning and pick up in afternoon. when the picked up the vehicle the charge was $27.40. They paid. When i came home and found out what the bill came to i called and talked with "Randy" he said the extra charge was the the vehicle took an extra quart. When I go to Pep Boys the coupons are for $19.95 and no more. And on top of it all the recommended items they found for my vehicle was to change the radiator coolant, That was just done 5 months before. I actually had a mostly pleasant experience here. Like most first time experiences, it started off with getting a coupon in the mail. $30 bucks for an oil change and windshield wipers. Sold. However, being skeptical I of course called and said, whats the real price, how many fees yada yada are you going to tack on. He actually wouldn't even agree to tell me if the coupon was valid on my car until I brought it in. So I made an appointment and straight up said, if the coupon isn't going to work on my car I am not having service done by you. I brought it in Saturday morning, there was only one other person there. The actual lot this place is on SUCKS. No place to park, super small tight corner. You can barely get your car in. They greeted us right away, and I gave him the coupon and confirmed that yes it would work on my car. After taxes/fees it came to $36 bucks, not bad for an oil change and wipers. Since I have had issues at car places before, being a young woman, I always expect they are going to take advantage of me, or at least try to. When they brought me the check off list of recommended stuff, one of them was a warranty issue I already knew about, so they left it alone. The rest of the stuff (minus needing a new engine filter), I had just spent 1000 bucks on this past summer to have done (flushes mostly, and brakes). I told him, why do you guys recommend stuff on the sheet based on mileage only? That means you aren't actually checking, just going off the number on my dash. That I did not like. Fortunately, I've spent time working on the car with my "shade tree" certified mechanic so I came here knowing exactly what my car needed: new cats (catalytic converters). My car had very little air coming outta the tail pipe. This indicated a clogged exhaust system. My Hoopty (1993 Ford Explorer) has double cats, so my mechanic had pre-schooled me on just what to tell the Shop Manager as far as how he could possibly get by with one cat. The Manager agreed with his logic and, they chatted. My mechanic was offered a job there to which he politely declined. One cat would significantly lower my repair cost. In the end, however, the Manager opted to go with specs and gave me the second cat at a significantly lower cost than I would've paid originally. Mind you, this doesn't mean that my wishes were over-rode, for the higher dollar repair. Overall, I was pleased with the service and repair. Would I return? Maybe. We installed a CAT-back exhaust system in our Jeep ourselves, but we kept hearing rattling. We contacted Meineke on Osborn to ask if they would look at it and maybe tighten up the unit since we didn't have a lift. They told us to come right in. They took the car in as soon as we got there, put it on the lift and tightened everything. When we went to pay, we were told there was no charge!! Wow. Where have you ever seen that before? I've had 2 very pleasant experiences with Pete here at Meineke. I needed an oil plug replaced and another outfit down the street wanted to charge me $75 without an oil change! I then walked in to Meineke and Pete says he can change the oil AND replace the plug that had been stripped for less than $60. And now today I went in to get a leaky seal replaced on my front axle and a new airtube throttle body (which I had the part for). I walked out of there under $175. And he never even charged me labor to put in the air tube throttle body which was causing my car to lose up to 30% in gas mileage. In an industry that's plagued by dishonest I'm happy to have found a place that conducts business with integrity. Thanks Pete! read more

Every time I take my car in, they tell me something is wrong with my car that is not wrong. Then they proceed to give me these ridiculous prices for it to be fixed. However, when I take my car to another shop it is not the same problem that meineke said it was. And the fix is more reasonable. Ex. Meineke: "You need a new transmission and it'll cost $2800." Other shop: "Your sensor is unplugged, so its reading weird codes. We'll plug it back in and see what it reads. ... Nothing came back after plugging in your sensor. Your car is fine, that'll be $60." read more

I went into the Osborne Meineke location last week to have several services done on my 2005 Camry and the crew there did a fantastic job. First I called to obtain a quote for the services over the phone, and when I came in two days later, Junior remembered our conversation and already had everything I needed done listed on your computer system. Not only was the quote from Meineke the most reasonable quote I obtained, but they had the best customer service I have had in a long time. I have been coming the this location for almost two years now and have seen three managers, and Junior Villegas is a courteous, honest, and reliable manager. Also, after the care was completed on my car, Billy Wong noticed that my front flap that helps keep dirt and debris from coming underneath your car (that parking curbs can rip off) was dragging a bit, and just needed to be properly tucked back in and re-bolted into place. He took the extra time and care to fix this for me, of his own accord. This simple 5 minute fix truly made me feel valued. Amazingly thoughtful and super considerate! In summary, the care and value I receive from Meineke is priceless. Thanks again for the thorough and awesome customer service. read more

Went there for the oil change n tire rotation special. The guy that was moving my truck, which I told that it was a standard n the emergency brake was on, got in it n he let go of the clutch when it was in gear n stalled it. It made such a loud grinding clanking noise that people inside the place heard it. After it was serviced they said it was leaking oil under the motor. It never leaked a drop of anything for me. Anyways I drive it home n parked it. Got in it to drive it later that day n a noise was coming from under the hood. I drive it back to the store. My fan shroud was all cut up n a huge piece was missing. It wasn't like that when I brought it in that morning. They said it was glued n it just fell apart on the road some place. Trust me, that idiot who moved my truck caused the motor to jump n the fan broke the shroud. Tried to put an a/c charge on it n it has 2 leaks now n transmission oil is leaking now. Thanks Meineke for costing me $64 for a new shroud that I put in myself n who knows how much to fix the a/c leaks n the tranny leak. Wish I could rate zero stars!!!! Never going back again. They could've just admitted that the idiot @@:!ed it up n fixed it. I hate people that don't take responsibility for their actions. Oh they said if I got the shroud they would install it for me for free! Why would I let some guy work on my truck that messed it up in the first place?? Bunch of losers!! Don't go there unless you want your vehicle running worse n broken parts that weren't broke when you brought it in. Pretty shitty of them. read more

They insisted my rear brakes were going bad and I should replace them. I simply said no I just want the front brakes done. This will be the last time I do business with this location.
